It’S Me Again
Chapter 31

“Mama!” Arnold ran up to Annisa with eyes that were careless from crying. Annisa draws herself closer to Arnold.

“You all right, son? You okay?” Annisa asked worriedly.

“Atut,” replied Arnold hugging his mother's neck tightly, Annisa rubbed her son's back gently to calm him down.

“Annisa?” Ivy asked a little doubtfully.

“Ivy,” replied Annisa awkwardly.

The two of them looked very awkward about their meeting where they both had no idea what had really happened to their past.

“Honey!” The male voice from behind Annisa's direction, made the two women startled.

“Papa!” Shouted Arnold looking at his running father with worry about his son.

While Ivy's chest is pounding, he's not ready to meet Michael at a time like this, when he's forgotten about Michael and building a new happiness with his fiance, Alex.

But as the man approached, Ivy was surprised. It turned out that the man was not Michael but someone else he did not know.

“Honey, sorry papa!” Reynold said worriedly and immediately took Arnold in Annisa's arms. Arnold spilled his fear in his father's arms, he cried so hard.

“Honey, let's go..” Reynold's words stopped when Ivy was in front of them. Reynold finds out about Ivy from Annisa's story about her past.

Reynold looked at Annisa anxiously, but Annisa smilingly looked at her husband and rubbed her husband's cheeks gently.

Reynold, who seemed to understand the situation, took the initiative to invite Arnold away so that Annisa and Ivy could talk together.

“You can tell me anytime, okay?” Reynold said to his wife and Annisa nodded her head.

After Reynold leaves with Arnold, Annisa exhales and looks at Ivy.

Ivy is still unable to process what is happening now, he is confused by what he is seeing now with what has been on his mind for almost two years now.

“Ivy,” call Annisa makes Ivy jerk from her daydream.

“I..iya?” Ivy answered, still surprised.

“Where, Michael?” Annisa asked a little doubtfully.

Ivy immediately saw Annisa with a confused face.

“You mean?” Ivy asked confusedly. Annisa smiled with Ivy's question.

“I asked where, Michael?” Annisa asked this time more slowly, Annisa thought maybe Ivy felt awkward because she asked Michael where the two brands had complicated problems in the past.

“Annisa, can we find a seat first? I need a drink.” Vocabulary ivy.

“How about we go to that little cafe.” Annisa said showing her hands towards the cafe near them.

Ivy nodded and stepped into the cafe followed by Annisa.

Ivy immediately ordered water when they were sitting in the cafe, after the waiter gave the drink to Ivy, Ivy immediately drank it until it ran out.

“Ivy, what happened why you look like a confused person,” asked Annisa worried about seeing Ivy. Ivy took a slow breath and exhaled and looked at Annisa fixedly.

“Annisa, I don't know what to say. I thought you and Michael,” Ivy stopped his words when he saw the confused face of Annisa.

“You and Michael get married?” Ivy.

“What do you mean? Aren't you and Michael getting married because you're pregnant with their child?” Annisa said again.

The two beautiful women were confused by the circumstances, all this time they thought Michael with the woman he chose between Annisa and Ivy, their minds were wrong. Michael wasn't with them both.

Annisa begins to tell me about her and Michael, who promised to be together, but finally Annisa prefers Reynold and Michael did not give any news especially after their last meeting and he thinks that Michael is already with Ivy.

Meanwhile, Ivy also told me about the miscarriage of his son with Michael where Michael did not appear at all when Ivy was in pain in the hospital. Upon hearing the news that Annisa is getting married, she thinks that Annisa is married to Michael.

Annisa is shocked to hear Ivy's story, and saddened by the loss Ivy feels, she also becomes worried about Michael's whereabouts are unknown where it went. He always felt guilty for having feelings for Michael even though he knew Ivy was with him. Now she realizes that Michael is not with any of them, and it is time for her to move on.

"Ivy, I'm so sorry. I don't know about what happened with you and Michael, even about losing you,” Annisa said with sympathy.

"It's okay, Annisa. I've accepted that fact. I've moved on with my life and now I'm engaged to someone else" Ivy replied.

Annisa is happy to hear that Ivy has found someone else to love, but she can't argue that she's worried about Michael's whereabouts.

"Ivy, may I ask you something?" asked Annisa doubtfully.

"Of course, go ahead" Ivy replied.

"Do you know where Michael is?" annisa asked, hoping Ivy might have some information about her.

Ivy shook her head. "I don't know. After he left me, I never heard from him again."

Annisa sighed. He hopes Ivy may have information about Michael, but it seems like he has completely disappeared from their lives.

The two women sat in silence for a while, lulled in their own thoughts. Annisa tries to accept the fact that Michael is no longer a part of her life, while Ivy thinks of her new life with her fiance.

Suddenly, Annisa's phone rang. She looks at the call ID and sees that it is Reynold, her husband. He answered the phone and Reynolds worried voice sounded.

"Annisa, where are you? Is everything okay?" ask Reynold.

Annisa convinces her husband that everything is fine, and she tells him that she is still with Ivy. Reynold was shocked to hear that Ivy was there, but he did not ask any questions.

"Alright, let me know if you need anything. I will always be there for you" Reynold said before ending the call.

Annisa smiled at Ivy. "That's my husband. He's worried about me."

Ivy smiled back. "You're lucky to have a husband who cares so much about you."

Annisa nodded. "I knew. Reynolds is amazing. He's always there for me, even when hard things happen."

Ivy looked at Annisa, there was envy in her eyes. He wanted to have someone like Reynolds in his life, someone who was always there for him no matter what.

The two women continued their conversation for a while longer, exchanging stories about their work, their families, and their hopes for the future.

As time went on, Annisa realized that it was time for her to go home. He hugs Ivy and says goodbye, promising to stay in touch.

As she walked away, Annisa could not help but be grateful for the unexpected encounter. Although it was a difficult conversation, he felt he had found peace. He eventually learns the truth about Michael and can move on with his life.

Annisa thinks of Reynolds and feels lucky to have him in her life. He realized that he didn't need Michael to be happy. He already has someone who loves him unconditionally and that's what he needs.
