It’S Me Again
Chapter 34's

Ivy sat in front of her laptop, staring at the screen with mixed feelings. After a while, he took a deep breath and pressed the video call button. The face of her fiance, Alex, appears on the screen.

"Hey, honey," said Alex, her smile expanding on her face. "How are you?"

Ivy gulped her saliva, trying to maintain her calm appearance. "That's fine, Alex. How are you?"

"Either well. Is there something you want to tell me?"

Ivy nodded. "Yes, ada. Annisa found Michael in New York."

Alex's eyes widened in shock. "What's?you mean the missing Michael?"

Ivy nodded again. "Yes. And Annisa found it in New York. He sent me this morning."

Alex sighed deeply, looking like he was trying to process all this information. "So, what are you planning to do now?"

Ivy pondered for a moment before answering. "Now, I'm confused. I don't know what to do. I want to go to New York to see Michael, but I don't want to leave you alone either."

Alex nodded with understanding. "I understand, baby. But, you should go see Michael. That's important."

Ivy pondered for a moment more. "But, I don't want to spoil our plans to be together and our wedding is also a few weeks away. I know we've been planning this for a long time and I don't want to cancel it."

Alex smiled at him. "Don't worry about that. I understand how important this moment is to you and I don't want to stand in your way. You should go and see Michael. I'll be fine here.”

Ivy smiled. “Thank you, Alex. You're so good to me."

They continued their conversation for a moment more, talking about the details of Ivy's plan to go to New York. Alex takes care of all his travel arrangements and gives him his full support.

Ivy and Alex walk in the airport, their hands clasped tightly together. They arrive at the departure gate and Ivy turns to Alex, her eyes glazed over.

"I don't want to go" Ivy said in a soft voice. "I want to stay with you."

Alex looks into Ivy's eyes affectionately, then tries to convince her. "You have to go, baby. You have to look at Michael and finish what needs to be done. I'll always be waiting for you here."

Ivy nodded, trying to calm herself down. "I knew. But I miss you, Alex. I don't know how I can part with you."

Alex takes Ivy's hand and pulls him closer. "You don't have to feel that way. I will always be here, waiting for you. You can call me anytime."

Ivy smiled gently, but still looked sad. "I know, but it wouldn't be the same as having you by my side."

Alex stroked Ivy's cheek gently. "I understand, baby. But we have to understand that sometimes we have to let go of the person we love to give his own happiness a chance."

Ivy looked at Alex with her teary eyes, trying to control her emotions. "I love you, Alex. You are everything to me."

Alex smiled gently. "I love you too, Ivy. And I'll always love you, no matter what."

Alex pulls Ivy into her arms and hugs her tightly. He felt pain and sadness in his heart. He doesn't want to let go of Ivy, but he knows that Ivy has to go.

"I'll miss you too, baby. Don't worry, I'll always be waiting for you" Alex said in an affectionate voice.

Ivy felt her tears well up. He doesn't want to leave Alex, but he has to go back to New York. He felt the same sadness as Alex, even more so.

Alex rubbed Ivy's tears and looked at her gently. He wants to convince Ivy that he will always be waiting for her.

"I'll never forget you, baby. You are everything to me" Alex replied in a soft voice.

The atmosphere around them was silent, only the sound of footsteps and noise in the crowded airport. Ivy took a deep breath and then let out a long sigh.

"Time for me to go" Ivy said in a soft voice. "I'm gonna miss you."

Alex nodded, then embraced Ivy tightly. "I'll miss you too, baby. But you have to go and finish what you have to do. I will always be there for you."

Ivy responds tightly to the embrace, trying to feel the warmth of Alex's body embracing her. After a while, they broke free from the embrace and Ivy walked towards the departure door.

They let go of a hug and Ivy took her suitcase. He looked at Alex with affection and concern.

"Take care of yourself, Alex. I will always miss you" Ivy said in a sad voice.

"Yes, I'll be fine. You take good care of yourself too. I will always be waiting for you" Alex said with a smile.

Ivy looked at Alex gently and kissed Alex's lips gently. They let go of their kisses and Ivy took a step back.

"See you, Alex," Ivy said in a sad voice.

"See you, baby. I will always wait for you" Alex replied with a smile.

Ivy turned around and walked towards the departure gate. Alex looked at Ivy with sadness and looked at Ivy's steps further away from him. He felt lost and lonely.

After Ivy leaves, Alex feels a void in her heart. He doesn't want to lose Ivy, but he knows that he has to wait until Ivy comes back. He sat in a chair at the airport and looked out the window with empty eyes. The atmosphere around him felt silent and empty.

Alex picks up his phone and sends a short message to Ivy.

"I miss you, baby.”

Finally, Ivy walked into the plane and sat in a chair. He took a deep breath, trying to prepare himself for what would happen next. He knows that this journey will not be easy, but he is ready to face it.

Ivy picks up her phone which suddenly vibrates, she sees the contents of the message Alex sent.

Ivy now really feels the sadness of having to leave Alex as they knit happiness will even inaugurate their moment of happiness with marriage in a few weeks.

It's just that his heart can't lie, he wants to see Michael, he doesn't know if his heart will change towards Alex once he sees Michael, only his feelings know.

One thing for sure he must solve all his past before making a new sheet.

Before leaving, Ivy found Annisa's name on her cell phone and sent a message.

“Annisa, I'll leave for New York today.”

After that Ivy turned off his phone and hoped his trip would get to New York quickly.
