Kanaya The Unwanted Wife
Part 1 (Kanaya's Tears)

Allahumma shalli ala sayyidina Muhammad wa ala alihi sayyidina Muhammad 🤍 ⁇

Those tears were dripping down the face that Kanaya was wearing. In the midst of the silence of the night, the woman prostrated herself, immersed in the peculiarities of her tahajud, and resigned herself to Allah, the Almighty, over all matters of her life.

With her hand, Kanaya prayed, asking for peace of heart and patience to endure with her husband who still could not forget her past love.

"Aisha... Aisha...." Kanaya repeatedly heard Lee mention the name in the middle of her sleep.

Kanaya closed her eyes, along with that her tears melted down her cheeks. Kanaya bit her lips to muffle the sound of crying because she did not want to sleep her husband was disturbed by the sound of crying.

Every night, Kanaya's heart breaks upon hearing Lee say the name of her first love, but as much as possible she endures her heartache and tries to perform well when Lee opens her eyes in the morning.

"Aisha... Aisha... I love you" muttered Lee again with his eyes closed.

Kanaya takes off her face, then folds and puts the prayer device in its original place. Then she approached Lee who was still asleep on the bed, looking at the handsome face of her husband with love.

Instantly Kanaya felt the pain in her heart slightly lessened after she saw how peaceful Lee's face was while asleep. Her husband must have been dreaming of his first love, thinking about it made Kanaya's heart hurt again. But what power, she could not control the heart and mind of her husband.

Kanaya climbed into the bed, filled the empty space next to Lee, and kissed her husband's forehead for a long time. "I love you Mas, I hope someday you can love me as much as I love you, too" Kanaya said softly as she shed her tears.

Then Kanaya embraced Lee's athletic body and rested her head on her husband's chest while closing her beautiful eyes. Unbeknownst to Kanaya, Lee wakes up, opens his eyes and looks at Kanaya who makes the chest of his field as a backrest.

The tip of Lee's lips shot upwards, forming a meaningful smile. He then returned Kanaya's embrace and stroked her gentle mane, trying to give her all the comfort she could.

"I'm sorry, for a while now I've only been able to love you. I hope you can continue to be patient until my heart can love you" muttered Lee feeling guilty.

Lee narrowed his eyes as Kanaya opened their room curtains. The morning sunlight highlighted Lee's pillow face which still looked handsome. Kanaya walked towards her husband with a sweet smile.

"Good morning, Mas David" he said cheerfully.

Lee initially wanted to protest Kanaya who woke him up too early, but after seeing Kanaya's eyes as pamph he felt guilty and did not protest.

Lee got off the bed and kissed Kanaya on the forehead. "Good morning too, Naya," he replied, showing an excessively sweet boxy smile.

"Mas David remembered what day it was?" kanaya asked as she looked at Lee expectantly.

Lee fused his eyebrows like he was thinking. "Fri Friday," he replied, which made Kanaya sigh in disappointment.

"I was wrong? It's not Friday, is it?" ask Lee.

Kanaya smiled wryly then shook her head. "Mas is not wrong, I'm wrong," he said withstood the disappointment because Lee did not remember that today was the anniversary of their two-year marriage.

"Well, I took a shower." After that Lee went to the bathroom leaving Kanaya who was desperately holding back her disappointment and also her regret.

"Where might she remember her wedding day with me, all she thought of was Ms. Aisyah," Kanaya murmured as she*************** the end of her long headscarf.

"Astaghfirullah," Kanaya said as she rubbed her chest.

Then the beautiful woman went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for Lee at the table.

Kanaya applied strawberry jam on the bread that had been separated and then poured the juice of Lee's favorite watermelon into the glass used by her husband.

After dressing neatly, Lee came out of the room and went to the kitchen or rather to the dining table where all the breakfast menu was presented this morning.

At first glance Lee looked at Kanaya who was focusing on peeling mangoes to be fed into her mouth.

"Naya, here sit down," Lee asked as he patted the chair next to him.

Kanaya smiled and complied with her husband's request. "Mas, has your stomach gone dry yet?" ask her in a soft tone.

Reflexes, Lee holds her checkered stomach. "It seems to have healed" he replied as he patted his stomach which yesterday had wrapped around.

"Alhamdulillah, you can go to the office again."

"May...."

"Sorry yes, I always bother you, yesterday you just skipped college to take care of me," Lee said as he looked into Kanaya's eyes who was also staring into his eyes.

"Mas David does not need to apologize, I only carry out my duties and responsibilities as a wife, that's all," Kanaya explained as she stroked Lee's right cheek with her delicate hand.

Lee's lips framed a sweet smile, the man did not deny that he liked to be spoiled by Kanaya. "Today you went to college?" asked Lee who was replied to by Kanaya.

"Walk me to yuk's office?" take Lee who usually forbids Kanaya to come to his office.

"What event is there, Mom?" kanaya asked while looking at Lee.

"Nothing, I just want to take you," Lee replied casually as he stirred up his watermelon juice.

"Tumben Mas, usually you even forbid me to come there," said Kanaya.

Lee looked at her coldly, and Kanaya looked down and hid the sadness clearly on her beautiful face.

"I'm banning you because I love you" Lee said as he grabbed Kanaya's hand and gently stroked her.

In Kanaya's heart was feeling sliced. When he did not know it, he always believed when Lee said the reason. But now Kanaya already knows the real reason why Lee forbade himself to the office. It was none other than that her husband did not like to see her talking to Aisyah.

"You're ready, I'm waiting for you in the courtyard" Lee's message, which this time looked at Kanaya with a warm gaze.

"OK, wait a moment, Mas," said Kanaya then darted away to the room to change clothes and veil.

Long floral dress and blazer pink color and matching colored veils become Kanaya's choice. Once she finished wearing her clothes along with her veil, accessories, and shoes, Kanaya polished her lips slightly with lip gloss that was exactly the same color as the original lip color.

Then, Kanaya picked up her sling bag which was only filled with cell phones and wallets. Then he went to see Lee who was still faithful waiting for him in the front yard of their house.

"Mas, look, I'm like a career woman who works in an office, right?" kanaya said asking for Lee's opinion about his appearance which this time is much different.

"Yes." Yeah." After saying it, Lee hints to Kanaya to get into her car.

Tired of continuing to be in Lee's room, Kanaya asked her husband for permission to attend the meeting, although later she would only listen without knowing anything about DSL beauty care.

During the meeting, Kanaya saw Aisyah doing an extraordinary presentation that made Lee and everyone including herself in the meeting room feel amazed.

From there Kanaya could clearly see the difference in the way Lee looked at Aisyah and herself. Her husband always looked at Aisyah with a gaze full of love and longing, while when he looked at her, all that seemed was a little bit of affection.

"No papa, Mom. I'm not jealous, I'm more challenged to try to be a better wife so that you can love me and forget your first love" Kanaya said, trying to disguise her sad look with a smile.

"Look at Naya, Aisyah's great, right? I want you to be like him, Naya," whispered Lee who had unwittingly offended Kanaya as his wife.

"Sorry Mas, I am yes I am, he is yes he is. We are both women, but our talents and strengths are different and cannot be equated" said Kanaya, who immediately made Lee aware of his mistake.

"Next time, don't take me to your office again if it turns out that you just want to show how great the woman you love is" the circus of Kanaya shed tears that she had been holding back.

Then Kanaya got up from her chair and walked out of the meeting room, everyone including Aisyah who was presenting in front wondered inwardly about what had happened until Kanaya came out of the meeting room crying like that.

While Lee was silent while bowing his face, not intending to chase Kanaya or explain what had just happened between him and his wife.
