Kanaya let her feet step aimlessly, she wanted to find a place that could heal the wounds in her heart from the pain Lee inflicted.
"Until this moment I try to understand your feelings Mas, can't you just try to think about my feelings as well?" kanaya muttered in a raucous voice. A river of tears formed on his snow-white cheeks.
The people who were at odds with Kanaya looked at her with pity, but no one dared to ask her how she was. Perhaps, they were worried about disturbing Kanaya.
When he set foot on the bridge, Kanaya stopped and walked again to the concrete barrier of the bridge. He stared at the river that flowed profusely under the bridge, at that moment he felt a little calmer, especially when he felt the breeze hit his beautiful face that was swollen. Slowly Kanaya's lips form a beautiful arch that can make others who see her happy.
"When my eyes looked at the beauty of nature, for a moment I forgot my cry, I forgot the pain of the wound you inflicted on my heart. In fact, I can forget all your mistakes in one breath." Kanaya spoke as if Lee was in front of her.
Ctarrr ... it was the sound of lightning that dribbled black cloudy, heavy rain slowly falling down the earth that Kanaya flushed. Kanaya's pink veil turns reddish in color as it is moistened by rainwater.
Although the rain was getting heavier, Kanaya did not budge, he still stood on the edge of the bridge barrier while looking at the flowing river currents below.
Kanaya felt sorry for herself, in the heavy rain, no one came to paddle her. Even her own husband might not care if he sees her raining here.
Sobs escaped from Kanaya's trembling little lips. In the cold, she waited for Lee to come to pick her up, she just wanted to see how much care in Lee's heart for her was not really important in her husband's eyes.
Kanaya looked up as someone shaded her head. He found Jaka looking at him with worry. Kanaya was disappointed because in her heart she hoped Lee would come to watch over her.
"Why are you standing here in the rain, Nay? You forgot you had asthma?"
"Why do you know I'm here?" Kanaya asked back.
"Sorry, I just followed you when you came out of the meeting room crying" replied Jaka honestly.
"Why didn't I start from the beginning?" kanaya asked with a trembling voice. Jaka laughed in a smile. "Because I thought Lee would come and get you, Nay," he replied. As Kanaya's cousin, Jaka could feel the disappointment and heartache that Kanaya felt.
"It turns out I didn't expect more" Kanaya murmured softly.
"Let's get out of here, I anterin you go home," Jaka asked as she held onto Kanaya's tiny shoulder and led her into the car.
"So, because of me, your car seat got wet, didn't papa?"
"Ck, that's the problem, don't worry Nay," said Jaka.
*******
Kanaya saw Lee standing at the door of their house while folding his hands in front of his chest. His facial expression showed concern, especially when he saw Kanaya who was drenched and seemed to tremble with cold.
Kanaya slowed down her footsteps, her heart rumbled to realize the unmoving Lee while looking at her sharply. Without Kanaya guessing, Lee ran up to her then hugged her body tightly.
Finally Kanaya could feel the warmth she always hoped for whenever she felt cold. And not only the warmth, Kanaya could also feel a great comfort when Lee hugged her. The wounds in his heart seemed to be healed, making him no longer emit pain.
Without saying anything, Lee lifted Kanaya's body and brought her into the house, from nearby Kanaya could see the worry of her husband's face.
Lee took Kanaya's body to the bathroom and placed it in a Jacuzzi that he had previously filled with warm water and Kanaya's favorite stovetop soap.
"Emh, I want to prepare food for you" said Lee, who then came out of the bathroom leaving Kanaya, who still could not believe what she had just experienced.
"You are like a thorny rose, beautiful to look at and always want me to hold, even though I realize my hand can bleed because of its duration" Kanaya murmured, closing her eyes, sipping the fragrance of his favorite stove soap while imagining Lee's handsome face that he misses every second.
While in the kitchen, Lee was trying to cook Kanaya's favorite goat-fried rice. He cooks while watching tutorials on YouTube, hopefully the taste will suit Kanaya's taste.
When the goat-fried rice was half-cooked, Kanaya came to the kitchen and approached Lee. "What cooking?" tanyakanya. By reflex Lee turned Kanaya's body upside down, not wanting her to see what she was cooking.
"You wait at the dinner table, yes" Lee said as he led Kanaya to the dinner table.
"So curious, what are you cooking again?" asked Kanaya who was just hit back by Lee's shoulder.
"Okey," Kanaya murmured as she watched Lee return struggling with a spatula and something she was cooking.
Kanaya's lips framed a smile as Lee finished cooking and brought the food to her.
"Well! It turns out that goat fried rice is not." Kanaya seemed enthusiastic and impatient to devour her favorite food this time cooked by Lee.
"How's it feel?" asked Lee when Kanaya had eaten a bribe from the results of her cooking. "His son," replied Kanaya who did not want Lee to know the true taste.
"What time?" Apparently Lee did not believe and immediately tasted goat fried rice made. "That's fine!" he said while trying not to spit it out.
"Don't eat!" prevent Lee when Kanaya wants to eat more of her goat fried rice.
"I know it's not good, but I want to appreciate your efforts, Mas. I know it's not easy for you to cook this goat fried rice, as long as you know, I'm different from you Mas," sela Kanaya who reminded Lee of his words earlier this morning offended Kanaya so that his wife came out of his office with tears.
Guilt again enveloped Lee's heart, he realized that all this time he had never appreciated Kanaya's efforts to understand it. Understand how hard it is to forget his past love. If his wife wasn't a patient woman like Kanaya, maybe she would be left behind.
"Sorry," Lee said as he looked into Kanaya's eyes.
"I've heard you say sorry dozens of times, but I never felt your earnestness, this afternoon you apologized, the next morning you might hurt me again," kanaya muttered as she turned her gaze towards the open window. Not want to see the reaction of Lee who often disappoint him.
"You better take a break" Lee said, switching the conversation. Kanaya let out a long sigh, she already understood her reaction would be like that, this was the reason why she was lazy to discuss the mistake that her husband had made.
