Chapter 35 - Critical Queen

Jeff came out of his room in the afternoon, he saw Kirana's room was empty. Leaving some neatly arranged files. Jeff was surprised, his usual woman will go home last in appeal to other employees, again this morning he said he would work overtime because a lot of work piled up during his time off.

"Hanna, have you seen Kirana?" Jeff asks Hanna who is still in order, ready to go home too.

"So Kirana got a call from the hospital, sir. Keep going in a hurry." Answer Hanna.

The man's heart feels stopped beating, it's a sign that something is happening to his mother Kirana, is her condition worsening again?

"Okay, thanks Hanna."

"Together Sir." Answer Hanna. Jeff left with his panicked face, he would follow Kirana to the hospital. But a ringing of his cell phone stopped his quick steps, making Jeff swearing because he was disturbed.

Jeff reached into his cell phone in his pants pocket, then saw that Anna was contacting him.

"Hallo, what's up Anna?"

"Where's master? Can you go home now? Lady Queen's condition is drop, sir." Anna said in a panicked voice.

"This isn't one of the plays Queen made for me to come home, is it, Anna? No kidding!"

"I'm serious Sir, Dr. Andre is here too." Answer Anna.

"I'll be there soon." Jeff replied, then immediately put his phone in his suit pocket. He walked half-run, he panicked not to play. She wanted to go to the hospital and see Nita's mother, but she also had to see her wife.

"Go home sir, speed up!" Jeff's orders, he won't drive in a panic. Jeff's orders were immediately nodded by Mr. Amarbyang who was always ready to standby when needed. Mr. Amar drives his car at high speed, although several times stuck in traffic, but the ability to drive Mr. Amar need not be doubted. In the past, Mr. Amar was a former race car driver, but because of an accident made him decide to stop being a racer, then met with Jeff and served as his personal driver 3 years ago.

Jeff got out of the car after Mr. Amar finished parking him in his mansion garage, Jeff ran up the stairs that connect the lower floor with his room upstairs.

Jefg opened the door loudly, making everyone's gaze point directly at him. Doctor Andre looked at Jeff wistfully, as the man approached, the personal doctor immediately patted Jeff on the shoulder.

"Please Jeff, everything's gonna be okay." Doctor Andre said, making Jeff round his eyes.

"you mean? What happened to my wife?" Ask Jeff in a slightly loud tone.

"How can this happen Doc, yesterday he was fine."

"Conditions like this sometimes happen to patients, Jeff." Obviously Doctor Andre, make both eyes of Jeff teary.

"Not the time to cry, pray for your wife to quickly pass her critical period." Doctor Andre's advice, but Jeff was already shocked by the reality that made his chest tight.

'I'm sorry Queen, I was busy chasing after Kirana and forgot about your health.' Inner Jeff. He looked at his wife who was lying weakly with both eyes tightly closed.

"I'm sorry, but tomorrow we'll come back to check on your wife. There's still a schedule of operations at the hospital."

"Yes, thanks Andre, be careful on the road." Answer Jeff shimmily.

"Please leave Jeff with Queen, Anna."

"Good Doctor." Answer Anna. Then followed behind Doctor Andre, out of the room nuanced white, gave time to Jeff to be with his wife.

"Dear, I'm sorry! These few days I pay little attention to you, I forget my duty to you, I apologize for betraying you. I know I'm wrong, but I'm a regular human being who sometimes has desires at the limit of my consciousness." Jeff said, he gently rubbed the Queen's head and kissed her forehead briefly.

"I'm sorry baby, I still love you and I don't want to lose you. But honestly, I'm comfortable with the presence of other women, sorry my heart started branching dear." Both of Jeff's eyes glazed, before long a rainstorm fell to wet his face.

It hurts so much to see the person we love most can only lie weakly in bed, without being able to do anything. Queen has experienced this 2 times, first when the accident Queen had a critical and coma, but lucky Queen was able to pass that phase and regained consciousness, despite having to accept the harsh reality that he is permanently paralyzed.

May luck still side with Queen, until she regains consciousness. But at this time different, Queen is critical because of her cancer.

Jeffran moved, he was standing in front of a large window in his room. Staring at the view of city X which began to be colored by flickering lights. He had not seen this scene for a long time, because he rarely went home and when he went home he immediately slept with the Queen.

"Darling, look at the view. So beautiful, you always like to see the lights decorate the city right? Come here, let's see it together." Jeff muttered, he came back to shed his tears. It feels sad to see his wife like this, I don't know when all this is over. Heart storm that always approached her, like endless waves hit the reef with his ferocious.
