Chapter 48 - Miscarriage?

"How's Kirana doing, doc?" Ask Jeffran with a full mimic to worry.

"Miss Kirana is bleeding heavily, her womb we're forced to lift."

"Related? D-he's pregnant?" Jeff asked with his stupid face.

"You don't know? Miss Kirana is 4 weeks pregnant, sir. But it seems Miss Kirana is too exhausted and a lot of thoughts, excess stress makes her content unable to survive. We had to lift it." Obviously the doctor, making Jeff did not know what to say or what kind of expression.

"Can Kirana still be pregnant?"

"Certainly sir, her womb is fine. Only I suggest that Miss should be given some distance first, I suggest that Miss rest a total week ahead." The doctor's advice, made Jeff just nod in response.

"Then excuse me sir, Miss Kirana can be looked at after we move her to the ward."

"Okay doc, thank you." Answer Jeff listlessly. He sat back in the waiting chair while covering his face with both hands. She was so angry when she found out Kirana was pregnant but she didn't know anything, wait! Does the woman know that she is pregnant?

"Kiran, why are you so careless." Jeff muttered as he shook his head, he had long craved a child from the woman's womb. But when she gets her, she loses it before she even knows there's another life in her womb.

Jeff ruffled his hair in frustration, he did not expect to get a reality that made his heart so crowded. The man shed his tears, this was the first time he shed his tears after his two parents were gone. Turns out losing something was this painful? He only felt it again after the agony of 20 years ago, when he lost his mother, father, and sister who were not even born yet.

"Oh my god, is this my karma because I've been waiting for the Queen's trust?" Mumbled Jeff.

"Sir.."

"Sir Amar, if you are tired please go home sir." Jeff said softly.

"Master don't feel alone, you can tell me."

"You ever feel a sense of loss?"

"Good sir, my son was missing for weeks and when he was found he was lifeless. What's up, sir?"

"Am I wrong to expect a child from the womb of another woman who is not my wife? But after getting it, I wasted it."

"You mean?" Ask Mr. Amar.

"Kirana miscarried sir, she's 4 weeks pregnant." Jeff replied softly, making Mr. Amar surprised to know the fact that his boss had impregnated his own secretary.

"Wrong or right depends on you, sir, you are an adult and you know what is wrong or right. But I'm quite sorry about this, you've been wanting to have children for a long time."

"Yes sir, I've wanted him for a long time. The Queen can't give me offspring because of her condition, but Kirana can!" Jeff replied again, the tone of his voice sounded slower than before.

"Thank you for listening to me sir, you can go home. I'll wait for Kiran here, don't tell Queen or anyone else in the house."

"Okay sir, I understand." Replied Mr. Amar, the middle-aged man went to leave Jeff alone, dissolved in endless sadness.

Jeff is still sitting pensively in the waiting chair, there is no sign that Kirana will be moved to the ward immediately, making Jeff upset because he wants to see Kirana immediately.

"Excuse me sir, are you Miss's family inside?" Ask a nun who just came out of the room where Kirana was.

"Yes, I'm her future husband. How's she doing?" Jeff asked, without a second thought he introduced himself as Kirana's future husband.

"Miss is conscious and she's asking you, please come in." The nurse let Jeff into the treatment room.

"Okay, thanks Sus."

"But you should not be too noisy, even though it is conscious but the situation is still very weak." Remembering the nurse, Jeff just nodded his head in understanding. Then entering the room, she saw Kirana who was closing her eyes.

"Master, why am I here? You're not coming home?" Ask Kirana lirih.

"So you passed out at the party, so I brought you here. After all, how could I leave you in this condition? No way, Kiran." Jeff answered while rubbing Kirana's head.

"I fainted? Why?"

"You're exhausted, do you know that there's another life in your womb?" Jeff asked finally, making Kirana frown. Like he didn't understand where Jeff was talking.

"You mean?"

"You didn't know you were pregnant, Kiran?" Jeff asked with his sharp gaze, at first he thought the woman knew and hid her pregnancy. But seeing the reaction shown by the woman, it seems Kirana also did not know that she was pregnant before.

"S-I'm pregnant? No way sir, that's impossible."

"How is that not possible while the doctor says it himself. But baby, you're too careless and make my son go away." Jeff's sad speech. 

"Go? I miscarried?"

"Yes, it's because you don't take good care of our son." Jeff blames Kirana, but he himself does not know that he is pregnant with Jeff's child.

"I'm sorry for my carelessness, but I swear. I really don't know if I'm pregnant, there's no symptoms like most of you're pregnant." Kirana said, however, she also regretted not taking good care of herself. 

Although she did not expect to get pregnant with the boy, but if it did happen she would take care of him well and wholeheartedly. But the thing is, she doesn't know she's pregnant. He didn't feel anything, there was no morning sickness, or dizziness and such.

"I'm disappointed in you, Kiran!" Jeffran.

"But sir, I really didn't know I was pregnant." Kirana said, but Jeff went out of Kirana's room, out of nowhere. Leaving Kirana who was still digesting everything, she was pregnant but how could she not know if there was another life in her womb?

It hurt enough when he lost something precious that he didn't even know there was a fetus in his womb, but he left before he could give his best. Kirana's tears just slid, sick. Very sick, he lost his first child, and more painful again Jeff blames him for not being able to take care of himself properly.

"Why does he blame me? Not only was he disappointed, but so was I." Kirana muttered in between her tears.

Kirana felt shock at the reality she just knew, it was very sad indeed.

"Excuse me, good night, Miss. Take medicine first, so that your wounds recover quickly." Said a nurse kindly.

"You crying? Better not think too much, miss. Your condition is still very weak." Her sweat.

"Well, thank you."

"Losing it is common Miss, but your uterus is fine, you will be able to conceive again. Don't be sad Miss, may after this sorrow there be happiness that God has prepared for Miss." The nurse spoke encouragingly to Kirana who was down at the moment.

"Thank you sister."

"Sama-sama, please take her medicine. When you're done you need to rest, to get well soon." Kirana nodded and immediately ate a few grains of the medicine in one swallow.

"I'm sorry, but I'll be here again tonight to check your antibiotics. Have a good rest, Miss." The nurse left and closed the door slowly. Kirana laid down her body, feeling pain, pain, making her unable to move freely.

"It's painful to lose even before you know you're in your womb, son." Kirana muttered, before she finally fell asleep due to the influence of the medicine she had just taken.
