Determined and Desperate

Romi sat alone on a park bench. It has been two days that dark clouds have diligently poured their water stock into the earth. Even after the afternoon rain, the iron garden chair still felt cold when occupied. Even in the corner of the chair there were still water droplets left like dew in the morning.

Around Romi a lot of people who stopped by here, maybe the sky was on strike crying. As far as he can remember when he was in college, this park has always been the center of people's play activities.

The little children were running around on the grass and falling rolling around cheerfully, some of the fathers were sporting a brisk walk on an artificial path passing quickly and consistently, not to forget hawker traders have also started selling again offering many types of tempting snacks. Kids are always the best, right??

Maybe the atmosphere here does tend to be boisterous and noisy, but Romi was happy. Much happier than he had to be moody in the room. Seeing people smiling and laughing loosely looked like without the burden of life helped lift his spirit a little. Just a little bit, but enough not to make it a hunger strike a week.

It had been these three days that he had deliberately avoided meeting people a lot. After work he will go straight home, but not directly to the boarding house because the cost will be crowded in the hours coming home from work. Someone would have asked him to talk even though he was silent in the room. So Romi chose to walk alone, wherever his feet and motorcycle took him away then that's where he was. Sometimes it feels better when we don't know where we're going.

Asteria who he 'expelled' from his life just like that, then he rejected the love of Sofia who valiantly declared his love, and no less surprising is Sofia who sabotaged his life. He felt angry when he remembered it, but in his little heart Romi realized something. It might just help him get serious.. Sofia helps him not to be tempted by other women..

Romi could not figure out why Sofia would do such a thing. Though in her eyes, Sofia was a good person. It may be a little impulsive and extreme but not that extreme. Romi was a little creeped out too when he realized that Sofia could have followed him for some time lately. Romi instinctively glanced warily at the surroundings.it could be that he was following her now. Romi misses Sofia's phone call which he somehow misscalled. He certainly didn't want to talk to Sofia..

Then there's Asteria.. He has been with her for two years. In addition to a dozen other women who became his date Romi was always loyal in a certain sense to Asteria. Romi still feels pain in his chest if he remembers how he told Asteria that he wanted to be serious.. He could feel the pain of Asteria's heart from the sight of his eyes. He could feel his anger and disappointment from the way Asteria moved.

Then the three main players in his heart. Sofia, Asteria, Karina..

Everyone thinks I'm the best girl, but I think I'm the dumbest girl in the world!

Every day Romi just remembered he had not eaten anything, his stomach sounded like a reptile whose life was threatened. The shadows of the girls were crumbling with thoughts of food..

Batagor. sate. lumpia wet. egg cilok. fried macaroni. Romi murmured in his heart while glancing at the lyrics of nearby merchants.

Most snacks are snacks but that's okay. A hungry stomach could fill anything as long as it could chew and enter his stomach.

"mas. lumpia wetnya one.." Romi ordered while reaching into his pocket for money.

Heat waves from the stove hit Romi's face like solar radiation.

"Lawoh!" Romi tried to drive away the steam that approached his face.

"Return it hot.."

"Eh it.. You know Ovi?"

Ovi who turned out to be standing behind him smiled kindly.

"Why not wear a uniform?"

"Udah resigned yesterday." she replied casually.

"Yes Rizky?" Romi guessed sharply. Ovi's secretary Rizky so definitely understand Rizky's plan later on the 22nd. He may be lazy because he knows his dream man is making plans for other women.

And Ovi answered him with just a smile.
