Love Me, Please

Love Me, Please
30. That's Not Why

Marina sent a picture of her selfie wearing clothes that were too sexy for a seventeen-year-old girl; a shiny black crop top, a short black skirt, and silver heels. His face was covered with a fine amount of menor. Nope, not menor. However, it does make my friend look a little bit more mature than our age is not yet legal.

Marina: look at me getting ready to pop the cherry of my fake id!!!!

Marina: going out with my cousin toniiite

Marina: Heaven, I'm comyingggg!!!

Marina: are you excited, girls?

The message was followed by a series of heart-eyed yellow round emojis. Her heart-eyed emojis are soooooo freaking annoying.

Paulina: marina, not!!!!!

Paulina: are you really going to Heaven?????

Paulina: how could you not push me

Pauline: marinaaaaaaaa

Paulina then sends a moving animation showing Snoopy's white dog wailing with tears pouring down like a fountain.

"What, Yanh?" The voice of my beloved who was heard braked the will of the heart to join the hoard and type the replies to the messages.

I swiped the phone screen at him, almost hitting Kayden's nose.

He jerks. Fortunately his reflexes were good so he could dodge quickly. "Buck!" he exclaimed, of course shocked half to death due to the unexpected maneuver from me.

"Geez! Sorry, Yang, sorry," I asked without feeling guilty. Hm, there was a little guilt, but it was all worth it if I could see a rare expression on his face right now. Shocked, in disbelief, and .. not angry if judged daei the corner of his twitching lips was about to rise. He's holding back a laugh. I bit my lips so that a laugh that could negate the value of my apology before did not scatter. "This, here. Marina's going to Heaven with her cousin tonight." I was able to turn his attention back to the screen in plain sight.

"You realize, right, Yang, I can't see at all that your phone screen is like, literally, in front of me like this?" kay complained that now his vision beads had become that squint.

"Yes!" Automatically a "somewhat" slap gently floated onto his face. "Ngapain, anyway, you? Spooky, know!" seruku scared. Surprised to see what happens to the eye that always butterflies. Why would he do that, anyway?

"Dude!" He grimaced while holding onto the cheek instantly after my hand was attached in the same spot. "His team is not about," he protested back.

Then my surprise was eroded and became amused. I sniggered again. However, seeing him rubbing the part that I-abuse accidentally earlier, guilt was now completely present. Ah, Niki! "Sorry, honey," I solemnly persuaded this time. I cupped his face with both hands even though the left one was still waving the device. "Uuuu, don't sulk, dong. Kayden handsome can't be confused, his handsome daftar faded, you know!" Nonetheless, I couldn't help but tease her with my mouth turned red.

Unknowingly, he went along.

One kiss landed seamlessly on the soft pad of Kayden James Ford's lips. "Udah, huh?" I seduced him with one more kiss. Then again. "Udah. Hitherto. No more sulking like a baby," tell me with a pat that this time is really soft on her cheek.

The lips soared after getting repeated kiss rations. "Yes, Ma'am," greeted Kauden obediently.

We took the same position again. But now my attention is focused on the conversation on the screen. It appears to have entered a new message.

Marina: sorry, girls

Marina: so I'm ahead

The envious message was ended by an emoji sticking out its tongue.

Yep, what he meant was me.

We—with Marina's incitement of course—actually already completed the mandatory agenda of high school students around the world when we were sixteen; made a fake identity card. At that time we were helped by the one Marina acknowledged as an acquaintance. However, we have yet to get the chance to try to witness the magic of that hundred dollar card.

Or, rather, I still did not get permission to use it. I'm sure you know who you're from.

To this day. For Marina.

That's why Paulina is crying the poor Snoopy's eyes out judging by the gif she sent.

And that's why I'm making eyes with my boyfriend right about now.

"Yang," called me while raising my eyebrows with a grin that was ready from earlier.

"What?" his mouth was defiant with one eyebrow high on the forehead.

I shake my phone.

"What is that supposed to mean?" again, pretending not to understand. Kayden wanted me to say what was inside my head so that he could answer it with what was inside his head as well.

Even though I can guess what I will receive. "This, Yaaang." I whined, started to pull out my moves again.

He still maintained the turtle fortress in his boat. "Yes. What's?"

"Oh!" I snorted before finally giving up. "Si Marina is going to Heaven with her cousin."

Heaven is currently the most hype nightclub in downtown Los Angeles.

"Continue?"

"We're coming, yuk?" There, there I said it. I finally stated what Kayden was about to hear from earlier.

The guy looked at me for a moment. Kalakian he breathed a long breath. The smell of mint from the candy that he had always picked up instantly filled my lungs. "Which," he said heavily in the end, his facial water now turned serious. He straightened up, twisting me lightly because he also stored a strong energy in his stocky body so that now we are sitting face to face. "There's a reason why we never use our fake ids. And you know what the reason is, right?"

"Yeah, 'cause you're a total control freak, '" I replied with arms crossed in front of my chest.

"What's? No! You know that's not why," the rebuttal is lightning. Then Kay looked like she was considering something before she continued her sentence. "okay." He's nodding. "You can say I control freak because it's really true, especially regarding things related to you. And in case it hasn't get through that beautiful yet hard head of yours, listen to me, yes, my beloved Nikita Bliss Levine, the love of my life. I insist on never getting into any club before his time, or at least until we graduate High School, because I want to take care of you. I told you this a thousand times. I don't want anything bad to happen to you.

"I know you, okay? I know you and I can imagine what would happen if you got used to the scene. You're a curious girl, Yang. And I love you for that. I really do. I love your soul full of curiosity. But, at least for now, rein it in a little. Okay? Try to be pressed first your will to follow the flow which, sorry to say, will not be beneficial at all for you. You want your grades up and back on the team? You have to focus. You have to be disciplined. You have to win against yourself. If not ...."
