"Today you won't survive me. If you're gone, I'll bury you." Said the middle-aged man. His eyes filled with a fog of anger. While his wife was smiling watching the cruelty of her husband beating the little girl mercilessly.
"I'm sorry. I won't repeat it again. Please, let me go." The little girl begged with tears that she could not stand. The shabby clothes he had been wearing since three days ago left blood-stained red stains in some parts. Instead of feeling pity, the middle-aged man was getting excited about beating up the little girl, why was he born a human? The middle-aged man was suitable to be a wild animal only.
Does God not leave compassion in his heart? Why does his wife feel proud to witness the cruelty of her husband? Can't he stop eating just to say "Stop my husband. He was a kid. He must be in a lot of pain."
Eeekk!
The sound of the cruel woman's belch filled the ceiling of his simple house, as if the world revolved just under his feet.
Five minutes later.
"Stop my husband, he'll be gone. Do you want our money tree to die with him?" The woman who was no less sadistic than her husband.
"This time I forgive you. If tomorrow you get nothing from the results of begging, don't blame me, the Angel of Death will pick you up at my command." Said the middle-aged man while throwing his whip to the floor.
The sadistic couple left the little girl in a small space that was not worthy of human occupation. To cry, the little girl could no longer bear it. His body was still filled with bruises that had not healed, but today the cruel man again beat him blindly.
"God... Am I going to die?" Say the sweet child while removing the corner of the eye with the back of his hand.
"Please, save me!" Wrestle the little girl while collecting the remnants of her strength. He sat down while leaning his small body on a wall made of boards that had been weathered in eating age. Her eyes looked at the sky that was beginning to darken.
Outside it looks cloudy.
"GOD... HELP ME GET OUT OF THIS HELL!" Pinta the little girl, he tried to withstand the pain that spread throughout his weak body.
Duars!
The sound of thunder boomed, as if representing the sadness of the little girl. The rain started to fall, very hard.
"The sky, are you crying with me? I'm sick! It hurts a lot, but I won't cry anymore." The little girl chirped trying to brace herself, she wiped the corner of the eye with the back of her hand.
The rain did not stop. The little girl ventured to step foot leaving the shabby carpet unworthy of use. He looked to the right and left hoping his adoptive parents did not know he would leave the miserable house. Slowly the girl settles down like a little thief who is afraid of being caught by the owner of the house. And sure enough, when the girl was about to come out of the iron gate, suddenly the middle-aged woman shouted.
"Who's there?"
The little girl's body shivered. What a feeling of fear when the cruel woman saw him leave the house filled the depths of her heart. He almost fainted from fear.
Feeling that there was no one, the woman moved from her place of establishment while carrying a strong herbal medicine typical of East Java that she ordered online last week, specifically for her cruel husband.
"God.save me." Wailing the little girl many times, she began to walk through the cold rain.
Meanwhile, in a different place, precisely in the Dinata residence. It seemed that the harmonious family was eating voraciously. There was no conversation at the dinner table except the sound of spoons and forks being mutually unpretentious.
After dinner, the family consisting of a husband and wife, a son and a daughter went to the family room. Talk while watching TV there.
"Of course, Pa. He's our proud son. Look at it later, his name will be known all over the City." Said Ms. Hanum with a big smile. Shawn who was talking was only silent, occasionally he turned to look at Mama and her Papa who were still laughing giggling.
"Ma. Pa. Shawn's in the room." The smart boy asked for permission while looking at his parents.
And from a distance of tens of kilos of meters of the Dinata residence, a little girl was walking in limping steps. His body is still shivering. A split second later the small body collapsed under the green-colored iron gate, its breathing sounding heavy.
"God, if this is the end of my life, please unite me with Father and Mother. In the same Heaven where your beloved is, Muhammad." She looked at the little girl before she completely closed her eyes.
Hiks.Hiks.Hiks.
"Don't hit me. Be ill. It hurts."
The sound of crying along with the groaning held back Bu Rahayu's steps. He immediately walked to the room next to the small Musalla where children used to learn the Quran.
"Ndock, wake up." Ms. Rahayu patted her beloved daughter's body slowly. Slowly, the girl's eyes began to open wide. Ms. Rahayu wiped away the girl's tears with her soft hands. Really, the middle-aged woman was seen enduring the sadness behind the smile she was trying to force.
"Mothers. Hicks.Hiks." The girl hugged Bu Rahayu's body, usually she never cried in front of anyone.
"Did that nightmare bother you again?" Ask Ms. Rahayu slowly. The girl nodded without being able to say anything.
"It was just a dream. Wake up your brothers, take Wudhu and then we pray Fajr together." Pinta Bu Rahayu, he again rubbed the eyes of his favorite daughter who was still watering.
After dawn prayers and breakfast. It's time for the kids to go to school. In the living room, three Junior High School children and five primary school-age children gathered. Some are wearing shoes, some are tidying up their uniforms and school bags.
"Sister, hurry." Say one of them.
"Wait a minute. Brother is tidying up the hijab." Say someone from inside the room. A minute later, an ayu-faced girl came out from behind the door leaf. He looks happy. This morning she was still crying in her sleep.
"Mom, pray for Raina to get a job soon." Said the girl while kissing the back of Bu Rahayu's hand. Bu Rahayu nodded as she stroked Raina's face affectionately. No tears began to drip from the corner of his eyes. Seeing her mother sad, Raina could only give a warm hug.
Not wanting to dissolve in long sadness, Raina asked her sisters to shake hands immediately. Go to school, leave the place where they grew up lovingly.
"Mak Yu why?" Ask someone from behind Bu Rahayu's back.
"Is this about Raina? Does that nightmare still bother him?"
Bu Rahayu sighed harshly while sitting on the rattan chair, her sister's question again reminded her of the events of this morning.
"I don't blame Raina, it's natural that the child is still traumatized. The terrible events that happened in his childhood were truly frightening. I don't know what kind of demon hurt his body that badly. If God brings me together with that evil creature, don't let his head settle." Grumpy Mom Romlah upset.
Ms. Rahayu has not been able to forget the events of twenty years ago, the incident when she first found Raina with a wound that almost took her life.
