Chapter 1: Please Accompany Me!

A cold wind blew away the dry leaves that were falling on the streets. Winter seems to be coming soon to see temperatures getting lower every week.

In a four-story apartment, a girl is fast asleep in her bed. The mobile phone lying on the table next to the mattress seemed to keep ringing. This girl did not seem to be planning to pick her up but, the phone did not stop for the next 10 minutes. The girl finally groaned up to pick up her phone.

“Hm...” replied the girl with eyes closed and a chart still attached to the mattress.

“Ava! You still sleeping ? Wake up! It's noon!” said the girl on the phone rather excitedly.

Ava still did not respond and remained lying on her bed by answering with a small mutter. “Hm.”

The girl on the phone groaned in annoyance. “Ava wake up, I want to talk directly. We have to meet!” Ava once again simply replied with a mutter. “Ck! Ava, I'll be waiting for you at the cafe where we used to meet in an hour! You must come or I will continue to bother you in the next few days.”

“Hm.”

“.....” Gadi on the phone gave a long sigh. “I just wait. You have to come!” After that the phone was turned off without waiting for a reply from Ava who was still closing her eyes.

Ava put down the dead phone and continued to sleep for a while. But after a few minutes, Ava couldn't go back to sleep because she called her best friend. So he decided to get out of his bed and go to the bathroom.

After finishing her business, Ava washed her face so that she would not feel sleepy again. Only then, came out of the room and sat on his bed again with a long sigh. He glanced at the mobile phone on the table showing it was already daytime.

Recalling her best friend who was about to meet her, she got up again to take a shower and prepared. Incidentally the distance between the meeting friend and his residence is somewhat time consuming so that he prepares early.

Ava put on her autumn coat and prepared to leave with her bag. Ava lived in an apartment in a rather old community so there was no elevator, she had to go down the stairs from the fourth floor manually.

Even so, the community where he lives is not far from the big road and has a small supermarket that is quite complete. So it makes it easier for people living in the community to shop.

Ava boarded the bus from the bus stop in front of her community to the promised place. On the bus, Ava leaned back and looked out of the bus somewhat sleepily. He was a bit soft last night so now he is very sleepy and tired.

Ava is 18 years old this year and has just graduated from High School. Unlike other friends who went to university, he chose to work once he finished from High School. This decision is certainly not decided by him in a hurry because he thinks of his financial factors and his nature. He had also previously had a rather bad experience while attending school, which made him even less anxious to go to university. Ava, who is now working and has a decent income, has no intention to learn more from formal institutions if it is not forced.

Ava finally arrived after 20 minutes of travel, she got off at the nearest stop from where she was going to meet her best friend. The place he met was a cafe that also served simple food that was delicious but not too big. Ava used to come here with her best friend when she was in school to do chores outside of school.

Ava walked into the alley to reach the cafe in question before arriving at the place she was headed. Despite the lunch hour, there were not many people in the cafe. Ava stepped over to the counter to order lunch and a glass of juice before sitting in a somewhat cornered area. Ava waited patiently because her friend had not shown up while playing mobile phone.

Ten minutes waiting, a girl in training pants and a wool jacket entered the cafe door. He looked around and found Ava in the corner sitting down staring at her phone.

He rushed up to Ava excitedly, “Ava!”

Ava raised her head and found the girl with the sweet facial features smiling at her rather excitedly. “Sophie, it looks like you changed a lot after a few months of not meeting.”

Sophie sat down while laughing awkwardly, rubbing her head. “I just gave a little color to my hair.”

Ava notices that Sophie's hair is bright light brown. “I mean it looks like your weight is down a lot.”

Sophie smiled happily at Esme. “You know for yourself that as a trainee it is very difficult and tight. In just a few months, my weight did drop 10 kilos.”

Sophie's figure was actually not too thin before, but thanks to a considerable weight loss made her jaw line sharper.

Ava sighed. “Do not be too pushy in training, you also need to take care of your health.”

Sophie smiled sweetly trying to calm down the worried Ava. “I understand, of course I will take good care of my health.”

Ava nodded, then the order she ordered earlier came. Sophie ordered a salad and a glass of black coffee before the waiter left.

Ava started scooping her food but before that she looked at Sophie. “So what do you want to talk about ? Until it wakes me up like that.”

Ava then starts eating it while waiting for Sophie to answer.

The other party he was waiting for was somewhat agitated and confused as to how to say it. Ava of course knows her friend is confused how to say it. Perhaps this topic somewhat made it uneasy to talk about it.

“Tell me, there is no need to feel doubt like that.” said Ava reassured Sophie to speak to him.

Sophie looked at Ava doubtfully before finally stating her point. “Actually I want to invite you to participate with an event.”

Ava raised her gaze and looked at Sophie confusedly. “What way ?”

“A survival variety show girl group.” Sophie replied with a smile.

Ava who heard him put down her tableware and looked at Sophie seriously. “Variety show ?”

Sophie nodded with excitement. “Unlimited Youth Girls!” he said excitedly but whispered.

Ava frowned, feeling displeased but not saying anything.

Sophie knows that Ava is not happy to join such an event, but she wants a beautiful and talented girl like Ava to be able to shine too. Actually he knows more than anyone, Ava is very talented especially in the field of music but she is always low-profile to avoid problems.

“You know, I just joined the agency, and they made a small audition internally for an agency trainee who wanted to join the variety. I managed to pass this audition and will be registered.” Sophie said explaining the situation. “But I was nervous, you know myself before I was just training with you. And just training formally with the agency is only a few months away. I'm afraid it won't be strong to live it.”

Ava let out a long sigh and picked up her cutlery and began to continue eating. “So that means, you asked me to be your mental support there ?”

Sophie scratched her head from feeling somewhat guilty. “You could say so, but not only that, if you come, we can practice together like when we were in school.”

Sophie chuckled as her intentions were read by Sophie again. “You really know me.” Sophie smiled as she blinked her eyes a few times at Ava. “So you want to come with me to this variety show.”

Ava looked at Sophie who kept acting sweet to get Ava's approval. “You know for yourself I hate getting into trouble right. I also don't want to be exposed.”

Sophie lowered her shoulders and the smile on her face disappeared. He immediately held Ava's hand and swung it spoiled. “Come on, you accompany me to the variety show. I promise you won't get into any trouble while you're there. Um...Um..” Sophie continues to persuade Ava by showing her heart-wrenching face to melt Ava's heart.

Her hand that was swayed several times by Sophie made her unable to continue eating quietly. He let out a long sigh, “Alright, alright. I-i understand. I'll accompany you there.”

The smile on Sophie's face immediately expands hearing Ava agreeing to join her on the variety show program. “Thank you, in this way, I became calmer.”

“But you still can't calm down.” Ava said as she scooped up her food and then chewed on it while looking at the confused Sophie. “I feel like I need to see the development of your abilities after practicing a few months at agency.”

Sophie was silent for a while, she always felt like being able to meet Ava would be her day off from continuous practice, but it seemed like she was wrong.

Ava eventually had to join a survival girl group variety show program. He asked for details on how to join and such to Sophia after checking the extent of Sophia's progress. He needs to check Sophia's ability to equalize her ability so as not to be too flashy and assessed on average later.

Once everything was done, Ava sent him casually then got up to make dinner. While cooking, Ava glanced at her laptop while thinking, if she was not too relaxed, she filled out the existing form and audition video in just a few minutes and not even an hour.

Ava was a bit hesitant at first but she ended up ignoring him and refocused on his cooking. She doesn't take this seriously, she just needs to be there and accompany Sophie while giving advice for her.

It wasn't that hard for her and Sophie to know about this before. A secret that Ava has entrusted to Sophie her best friend since Junior High. The secret that he is actually a composer by the name of LuckyONe.

Composer is a much sought after singer and company to buy songs of his creation. Even if lucky, they can get a choreography created specifically for the song, Almost all the songs he created will definitely always be a famous hit and occupy the charts.

Ava has been a LuckyONe for 5 years and until now no one has really known her true identity for sure. Ava protected her identity in close quarters and refused to meet in person with the other party. He also chose to communicate with written messages either digitally or handwritten.

All that he conveyed through his manager who worked with him for 5 years. Fabian Wild, a man in his 30s who happened to be introduced by his friend at the time. All his activities always pass through this manager without exception. Ava believes in Mr. Wild, so he just needs to put limits and whatever he can and cannot do. Mr. Wild just needs to follow the SOP from him and take decisions with more confidence.

Ava of course did not forget this manager, so while eating her food, Ava told Mr. Wild about the plan.

Ava held the phone while the other hand scooped food into her mouth. He waited patiently for the ring. After a long wait, the phone was finally picked up.

“Hallo, Lucky ? What's up ?” ask Mr. Wild on the other hand, the voice behind her voice was a bit crowded but rather faint-faced.

“Sorry interrupt nights.” Ava said politely. “Do I interrupt ?”

“No, I'm just having a meeting with Sunshine Entertainment. They want to discuss about music purchase.” Mr. Wild explains his activities to Ava so she has a picture. “What's Lucky ?”

“U.. I seem to be going for a few months.” Ava said.

Mr. Wild on the other hand frowned somewhat confusedly. “Is something wrong ?”

“No, just a friend request to be accompanied to a variety show.” Ava replied while leaning her body against the chair.

Mr. Wild did not reply for a while, he seemed to think for a moment. “Is it a variety show Unlimited Youth Girls?”

Ava was a little surprised Mr. Wild knows about this. “Indeed right, I'll go to that show.”

Mr. Wild let out a rather long breath. “Alright I understand, Then is there anything I need to do ?”

“I would like to ask that. Is there any cooperation that needs to be done before ?” said Ava. Although he'll be gone for a few months, he doesn't want Mr. Wild unemployed.

“As I recall, this variety show will start shooting around spring, meaning around April.” Mr. Wild paused for a moment and heard the sound of paper behind several times before Mr. Wild spoke again. “Actually there is a song request for the variety show Unlimited Youth Girls. I am still considering it and intend to question your opinion first. The rest of the other requests are already scheduled and I will send them tomorrow.”

“So...” Ava said rather long then went silent for a moment. “Then I will finish it before my scheduled departure. So it is better to make all schedules until the estimated time of the Program is finished.”

“Is not too much if until then, Estimated work 3 months is quite a lot.” said Mr. Wild is a little worried about Ava.

“I have some ready-made songs. But still need further planning.”

“Alright, I will send it soon after this meeting for sure so.” said Mr. Wild, but then he fell silent. Thinking about Lucky's low-profile temperament, feeling a bit worried. “But talk about variety show programs. Aren't you happy to stand out too much, why suddenly join a variety show program ?”

“I'm just there to sow my friend, don't intend to debut.” Ava confirmed to Mr. Wild plan.

“Alright, I understand, if need my help contact immediately, I will arrange it for you.” said Mr. Wild was last before Ava said goodbye and turned off the phone.

Ava who turned off the phone refocused on her food that had not yet run out while thinking of plans for tomorrow.
