Chapter 12: The Last Team

The next day, all the trainees were gathered in a large hall in lined conditions according to their class. Vivian who was previously the center stood in the middle and front of the line.

The trainees chatted with each other before suddenly the doors in the hall opened and Keegan walked into the room with elegant steps. All the trainees applauded excitedly welcoming him into the room.

Keegan took her place in the middle of the hall and held a mic and paper in both hands. “Hallo trainees all. How are you guys doing ?” keegan asked calmly and swept over all the trainees in the room and stopped staring at Ava for a bit before looking back at all the trainees again.

“Good!” the trainees shouted at the same time.

“Good if so, because today I have to announce a new mission for the next. With this mission, whether you will be eliminated or not, depends on your performance on this mission.” Keegan said, then read the card in her hand. “Mission this time will be called Battle Group!”

Keegan seemed to pause and give a pause for the trainees to respond. Of course this new mission made everyone whisper to each other enthusiastically.

“You will be divided into a total of 16 teams and will be evaluated as a team. There are a total of eight songs that make up half of the total number of teams. That means two teams will compete against each other to be the best with a total of 1,000 additional votes as a prize.” Keegan announces how the mission will go this time. “National Producers will evaluate you based on the mission this time and the result is only ratings 1 to 58 will survive. The rest will be returned.”

Everyone became tense hearing that almost half of the trainees would be returned. The trainees are determined to try their best in the mission this time.

“Now let's see the song that will be your mission.” Keegan shifted a little and the large cloth behind her just fell down. There are a total of eight songs shown and there are two boards for each song. That means they have to fight for the song they want.

Ava who was standing at the end of Class A looked at the songs that were on the board with furrowed brows. She recognized two songs that were her creations, both of which were sung by girl group members and were very popular at the time of its release.

The rest of the six songs he did not really know, maybe he had heard but did not understand the songs completely.

While the other trainees are excited about the songs they can perform this time. Keegan finally calmed the trainees down before returning to say.

“People who are entitled to select team members will be selected through a random draw.” Keegan then welcomes a staffer who brings out a lottery tool that has the names of all the trainees in it.

Of course, everyone is relieved to have the same opportunity to have their own team if selected through the lottery. Because it can be said that the selection of the team this time is arguably very fair that those in class F have the opportunity to vote.

Keegan gave a small smile seeing everyone in the room feeling happy. “But the first person who can choose his team is our Center in the previous theme song.”

Contact everyone in the room immediately saw Vivian with an envious gaze, of course it was an advantage for a center to get the opportunity to choose in the first place.

Keegan gives a sign for Vivian to be able to come forward and choose her own group members. Vivian advanced forward with a face full of wide smiles.

Keegan gives Vivian another mic so she can choose. “Please select your team member.”

As soon as she held the mic, Vivian turned around and looked at the other trainee friend with scanning eyes. “The first trainee, Denise Field of class A.”

Denise who was called immediately smiled and advanced towards Vivian in front. Many trainees are not surprised, as both are agency friends, so when elected, it is not unusual.

Vivian looked at Denise with a happy smile before returning to mention who would be their second team member. “second member, Katty Baron.” Another beautiful girl who came from the same room as Vivian.

“Hami Emerson,”

“Lily Carter.”

“Charlotte Issac.”

When Vivian finished mentioning the name of the trainee she wanted, a smile of contempt on her face. While the other trainees watching can only sigh long because they feel the team Vivian chose is very strong and looks visually beautiful. Although not as beautiful as Ava, but they look very attractive and have their own aura.

Because it is finished, Keegan allows Vivian to press the lottery tool button so that trainees who can choose next can be selected.

All the remaining trainees silently clenched their hands together hoping to be elected. Vivian pressed the button and the lottery tool took out one of the names of the next lucky trainees.

This process is a bit boring for Ava, he's not really interested in choosing or being selected, for him who he's going to be with the team is not so important. Because everyone's shortcomings can be corrected as long as they have the desire to develop.

Esme even daydreamed as everyone became excited by the election process, when she woke up from her daydream, there was already no one beside or around her.

“Sisa the last trainee participant will be one team.” said Keegan saw the last six people still lined up. To be honest he himself was a bit surprised to see Ava still standing in line and not being chosen by the other trainees while her own skill was quite good.

Ava turns around and finds herself living together with 5 other trainees who are from classes C, D, and F. He was the only one from Class A.

The six gathered in a march together with the other trainees. Keegan then gave each team time to discuss what song they wanted.

Each group makes a circle and discusses with each other, including the Ava group. One from Ava's group, from Clarence's class who was in the same room as Vivian chose to be the leader and started organizing the team.

“How about we choose a Boss song, or Drip it looks good.” Clarence suggested a song that was roughly suitable for them.

“I agree, our group more rappers. It would be better to take a song like this.” Ellie, a rapper, agrees.

Their group has at least four rappers who can help if they have a song that has a lot of rap.

Ava was silent and listened to them communicate about what song they wanted to choose. He does not really know these songs, but if it is seen from the composition of the group it would be better if they choose a song that has a lot of rap.

Everyone in the group agreed to choose between these two songs after discussion and they also chose Clarence who volunteered to be the one to pick the song by running.

Ava didn't say much and followed her team and lined up last when they had to get back in line. People are chosen to run looking for the song they want.

Keegan stood on the side with a whistle, while the trainees who were about to run lined up into a single line prepared to run.

“Everything is ready,” Keegan gives a cue for the trainees to get ready, then blows his whistle until the trainees immediately run around picking up the board and turn back to the other board across.

While the other trainees watching clapped and shouted loudly to encourage. There was a bit of a fight because those who were late did not want to give up and continued to stay on the board.

But Keegan then blew the whistle and the trainees finally gave up, for those who managed to stick their boards were of course happy.

Clarence was also pleased to have successfully stuck the Boss songboard onto his board. He got the song they wanted and did not have to wait to choose their opponents.

“Because half the team has managed to get the song they want then, those who managed to get the song please to choose their opposing team.” Keegan separates between teams that have and have not yet got the song to stand face to face. “Start from Vivian.” team

Vivian had already discussed with her teammate and picked a team that had a performance that did not match the song they had chosen. After that, the other teams started to pick one by one their opposing teams.

After completion, the teams were given the opportunity to discuss the distribution of their songs.

Ava's team also gathered, holding the lyric paper of the song and stickers that had been given by the staff to determine who the leader and center.

Clarence looked at his entire team including Ava who had been silent since then. “Now we can determine who is the leader of the team.”

“I chose Clarence.” said Hailey pointed to Clarence who had been the most active in leading them.

“I agree, you are the most active from now on and I think it is better if you are our leader.” Leah agreed to this.

They inevitably nodded in agreement including Ava. Since they agreed to this, the Leader Sticker was attached to Clarence.

Of course he became happy about it, because indeed being a Leader will have a lot of time highlighted.

“Then, let's choose center.” Clarence said announcing the next election.

Ava raised her hand suddenly and made everyone become shocked by it.

“You want to be the center ?” clarence asked in shock.

Ava shook her head slowly. “Can we listen to the song first.”

Suddenly the atmosphere calmed down due to Ava's request. They never thought Ava would ask to play the song first.

Leah frowned and looked at Ava doubtfully. “Do you not know about this song ?”

Ava shook her head with a plain look.

The team members became flabbergasted to hear Ava never listen to this song. Though this song is a very famous song and even they can sing with just one listen.

Seeing the reaction of her teammate, Ava scratched her head unhappily. “I don't listen to many songs.” said Ava slowly and unpleasantly.

“Alright.. let's hear this song first.” Clarence finally decided to play the song first along with the video.

Ava noticed a tab containing choreography and songs from the songs they were going to perform. The song has a clear bass sound and has a very strong and cool style. Almost half of the songs are raps that are suitable for them. But the problem is that the choreography for the song is a bit difficult and a lot of moves have to be done in harmony if you don't want to look chaotic.

In addition, this song also has a quite difficult vocal with a high tone that must be executed along with a fairly difficult dance. There is not much time off in moving this song and having to keep moving which might make it difficult for those who do not have stable vocals.

Clarence looked at Ava who did not say much and only said enough. She somewhat felt that what Vivian said was somewhat incompatible with the Ava she was seeing right now. Ava was cold but she was more like a quiet person.

“Then let's choose the center,” Clarence said looking back at his entire team.

The teams looked at each other doubtfully. Of course they want to be the center but they are hesitant. They also glanced at Ava who was busy reading the lyric paper and was not interested in the center selection.

Leah raised her hand in doubt. “I want to try being center.”

“Actually I also want to give it a try.” Scarlett said as she raised her hand.

Clarence also raised his hand, he felt that this was an opportunity to shine more. But what is surprising is that Ava did not raise her hand to run for center.

“Does anyone else want to be a center ?” clarence asked his teammate and it seemed to be just the three of them as no one else raised their hands. “Then now what if we try the killing part to determine it ?”

The rest who do not want to be the center, will choose those who are candidates by voting. Ava put down her lyric paper and paid attention to the candidate who would be the center candidate.

First Leah showed how she was going to execute the killing part by giving a sexy look that bit her lips a little to give it more impression.

Team members inevitably smiled amusedly seeing Leah show such style. Leah herself felt a tingling sensation all over her body after doing a sexy move.

Then, the next Clarence felt a bit depressed because Leah showed the right color for him. She took a breath and did the same part as Leah but by giving a cold look.

Afterwards, the last Scarlett gave a cool appearance with her head gesture and a defiant look at whoever was looking at her.

The three finished showing their performances and the rest of the members then used votes to choose who would be the center this time. The result was Scarlett who was chosen as the center of the vote of all members.

Next they have to worry about is the distribution of the song they sing later.

“Because most of us are rappers, I guess the rapper part is not difficult for us.”

“The problem is that the vocal part is also a bit difficult.” Scarlett said. “To be honest I probably won't be able to touch the high note here”

“That means only Ava and Ellie could possibly.” Clarence looked at the two with a questioning gaze. “can you try ?”

Ava and Ellie look at themselves and Ava gives a sign that Ellie will try first. Ellie nodded and tried to sing the vocal part but while trying to sing the highest part her voice broke somewhat. Ellie tried again but her voice was a bit less stable.

“Then can you, Ava ?” Clarence finally asks Ava to give it a try.

Ava nodded and tried to sing the same part with Ellie and was very stable. Of course this made the others nod in satisfaction as there were finally strong vocals on the team.

“Good, you are Main vocal.” Clarence said and was immediately approved by everyone on the team.

Ava looked at her teammate who saw her like she was getting a treasure. They never expected Ava to have stable vocals, it seemed like she was in A class not without reason.

After successfully dividing the entire part, they finally started to see the choreographed video. Clarence, the leader, couldn't help but scratch his head when he saw the choreographed video. He himself is bad with the choreography so it is a bit difficult for him to guide the other team members.

So Clarence asked the team members to watch and observe the choreography first before they started practicing. Ava observes from behind and takes a good look at the choreography on the video. The second time he saw it was much easier for him as it could be easier to memorize. Everyone focused on watching the move in the video until it ran out.

After that, they stretched back and Ava retreated to try to move some of the details she saw in the choreography slowly.

Clarence stood up and instructed the members to march, then they would start practicing koreo. Clarence held the tab nervous about not being able to think clearly to train his members.

Ava stood in her position after seeing from the previous choreographed video, she prepared to wait for Clarence to give instructions to them.

First of all, Clarence shows everyone's position first, then does the initial move they see in the video. But the problem was that the moves Clarence showed were inaccurate and he had trouble keeping up. Although their progress is very slow but his team-mates are very patient in this regard.

Ava on the other hand also has to follow the slow way and movement of her teammate. They were still moving so messy that it was lunch time.

At lunchtime, Sophie approaches Ava with worry. “Is your team okay ?”

Ava who was chewing her food nodded and gave a relaxed look without any pressure. “Why ?”

Sophie put her dinner tray with worry on her face. “Actually the rumors that yesterday kept you from being selected this time.”

“Created ?” asked Ava without much reaction and kept eating comfortably. “But I didn't run into any problems on my team.”

“Really ? Thank goodness if so.” Sophie let out a sigh of relief hearing Ava wasn't having any problems. “My team members are also very good, we get along well and you know.” Sophie approached Ava while saying quietly. “I get your song.”

Ava's smile inevitably widened to hear it. “Do well, prepare for my evaluation at the end.”

Sophie looked excited to hear that. “I promise I will do well.”

Ava could only smile and tell Sophie to eat before she returned to eating. Ava finished her meal and went back to the training room she had prepared for them.

There was no one in their training room yet because the others were still going to lunch. So Ava took the tab to the side and turned on Boss' song first before trying to move the choreography she remembered in her head and trying to be more accurate in her movements.

As no one was there yet, Ava did not hold back and began to dance the choreography she remembered in her previous double look. The moves are accurate and look the same as the moves from the song. Ava was so serious she didn't realize that anyone was watching her from the entrance.

When Ava finished, only the figure observing since then finally clapped in satisfaction. Of course Ava was surprised, she turned around and found Keegan was at the door observing.

“Already expected, your ability is indeed high. Why hold back ?” tanya Keegan watched Ava while folding her hands in front of her chest.

Ava automatically froze in place while looking at Keegan nervously. He could not answer the question and could only be silent.

Keegan already figured that Ava wouldn't be able to respond to anything. Looking at him for a few times, he could see what kind of person Ava was. A quiet, not talkative person, and very low-profile.

“I've been suspicious of you since the beginning. Your level is quite the same as an artist who has experienced for quite a long time. It turns out to be true.” Keegan praised Ava very highly after seeing her dance.

Ava clenched her hands together as she grew nervous. “Can you keep this a secret ?” ask Ava slowly.

Keegan raised an eyebrow full of question marks. “Why ? Isn't it a great advantage to show your true ability ?”

“Actually this is a personal reason.” Ava said nervously.

Keegan was silent for a while and observed Ava who indeed seemed to intend to remain a low-profile from the start. “Alright, but I hope you do your best in every mission.”

Ava nodded quickly and quietly prayed for Keegan to leave immediately. But it seems like his hope didn't really happen. Because of Keegan but was in the training room until his team members came in with a sense of surprise.

Watching fearfully for her ability to be dismantled, Ava tries to reduce her sense of existence at the very end and follows Clarence who tries to guide the entire team in memorizing the choreography.

Keegan's presence actually makes Clarence happy and nervous because he feels watched. She was afraid that if something went wrong, Keegan might criticize them harshly.

Keegan sat to the side and watched Ava's team train very slowly. Somehow he felt very frustrated with the progress of their team. “Do you intend to continue practicing at this speed ?”

Clarence and all the team members fell silent hearing Keegan ask from the side. As Leader, Clarence became nervous, but did not know what to do, so he could only bow apologizing to Keegan.

“No need to apologize with me. At first I didn't want to comment much on your training but your training progress was very slow. I'm not sure in two days you'll be able to fully memorize this choreography.” Keegan finally commented and explained her point.

“I'm sorry, but indeed I was a bit weak in choreography.” Clarence explained.

“Then shouldn't you ask other members. Are any of them really smart in choreography?”

Clarence automatically scans his team members, trying to find out who can be asked for help to solve their problems.

Seeing that there was still no reaction from the team, Keegan let out a long sigh and looked directly at Ava who was avoiding her gaze. “That member of your team, he's very smart in choreography right ? She even almost became the center in the theme song before.”

Clarence looked directly at Ava as soon as Keegan said that. He also suddenly remembered that Ava was indeed very smooth when showing her ability. If he can help the team, why doesn't he let Ava teach them.

Ava who was being talked about could only look down and avoid all the gazes directed at her. She did not expect Keegan to expose her like this, a feeling of sadness flashed in her heart.

After arranging her heart, Ava finally raised her head and looked at Clarence who was waiting for her to react. Then he looked at Keegan who offended the small smile with satisfaction.

With a sigh, Ava finally came forward towards Clarence with a calm face but a sad heart. Clarence of course was happy to let Ava teach them.

Ava looked at the glass in front and looked at all the teams behind her before sighing deeply and then starting to train.

“Let's start from the beginning.” Ava said after calming her heart.
