AFTER pleading with the elders and bidding farewell to the companions, the Pandavas left for Waranawata. People were haunting them along the way. Many refused to return to the city. Widura whispers a secret language that only she can
understand the king's son:
"Only those who can escape from cunning enemies can escape danger. There are many weapons that are sharper than weapons of iron. The wise man who can escape destruction knows how to protect himself. Flames
those that scorch the wilderness will not be able to burn the rats that hide in burrows or hedgehogs that dig
holes in the ground. A wise man can surely read his fortune just by looking at the stars in the sky."
The message was addressed to Yudhishthira and only he could understand the message. The message says Duryudana's evil plan and how to escape the trap. Yudhishthira hinted that he could understand
watura Message. Then, he told his mother Dewi Kunti. The journey that began with joy and joy
turn to be disquieting and save grief.
The people of Waranawata were overjoyed when they learned of the plan to arrive the Pandavas to the city. They are calling for the arrival of the Pandavas. Then, they rested for a while, while the resting palace was prepared. After the resting palace was named Siwam which means welfare, an ironic name because the palace was meant as a death-ready trap, Purochana led them to rest. Remember the message of Widura, Yudhistira examined every corner of the palace carefully. Soon he knew that the palace was built using simple materials
burn up. Yudhishthira said to Bima: "Even though we know this palace is a death trap, let not Purochana know us
they have smelled their evil plans. We have to be able to escape at the right time and it will be difficult if they are
put suspicion on us."
So the Pandavas stayed in the palace with an attitude made as appropriate as possible. Meanwhile, Widura sends people
who are good at digging tunnels. The man met Yudhishthira in secret. He said: "The password given
Widura is the secret message he passed on to my lord. I was sent here to protect my Master."
From then on, the tunnel diggers worked day and night in secret. Unbeknownst to Purochana, he made a tunnel under the wall that surrounded the palace and continued away towards the wilderness.
Purochana lives in the cottage next to the gate. Every night the Pandavas took turns to keep watch. During the day, they went hunting happily, as if nothing had happened. While hunting, they studied the state of the forest so that when it was time to escape they would not have much trouble. As told earlier, the Pandavas did not tell anyone about Duryudana's evil plans. Meanwhile, Purochana tried hard to avoid suspicion and waited for the right moment so that the fire that occurred seemed like an accident.he waited for a full year to carry out his intentions.
Finally, Purochana felt she had waited long enough. A vigilant Yudhistira was able to catch Purochana's suspicious attitude. He immediately called his brothers and said that the time to escape had come.
That day, Dewi Kunti held a festive feast for the guards. It was to put them to sleep because
satiety.
At midnight, Bima burned the palace. Goddess Kunti and the Pandavas have escaped through a secret tunnel.
They're groping their way out in the dark. Meanwhile, the flames quickly burned through the entire palace. Residents woke up screaming and running around in confusion. Some were in vain trying to help put out the fire. Sorrowfully and resentfully they shouted: "O Lord, this must be Duryudana's doing. It must have been him who ordered the murder of the innocent Pandavas." The palace burned to the ground and became ashes. Purochana's cottage is also burned to the ground following its inhabitants who failed to save themselves from his own evil plans. The people of Waranawata immediately sent word of sorrow to Hastinapura: The Pandavas' resting palace burned down. No one survived."
but it is also cold because of deep sadness."
Destarata and her sons stripped off their royal clothes and wore mourning clothes for the Pandavas they thought were on fire with the palace. They simply wore a piece of clothing to show their deep sorrow and went to the riverbank, There, they held a funeral service. They all showed deep sorrow.
Many people see that Widura is not as deeply immersed into grief as the others. People think it's because
deep understanding of the philosophy of Widura. But, the real reason is that Widura knew that the Pandavas must have been
managed to escape from death. Widura was worried about the situation of the Pandavas who now wandered in the forest.
Seeing Bhisma drowning in grief, Widura immediately approached her and whispered what had really happened.
Bima saw her mother and siblings running out of energy because they kept on watching every night and fear and anxiety. Then, carrying his mother on his back, he embraced Nakula and Sadewa with his arms, and his hands led Arjuna and Yudhistira. With such a heavy burden, Bima continued to step through the rain, like an elephant crashing through thickets and trees blocking the road. On the banks of the Ganges River, they found a canoe with his boatman that Widura had ordered to wait for them.
After dark, they crossed the river. Then, all night they walked into the wilderness. They
walk in darkness and silence. There was no sound except the sounds of the night animals. It was past midnight, because
there was no more energy left, they sat down to rest. Dewi Kunti said:
"I can't take it anymore. I don't care if Destarata's kids come to ambush us. I want to rest a while." After saying so, he broke down and fell asleep. In the darkness the Milky Way sought water. Some time later, he found a small lake. He immediately washed his body and made a cup from the lotus leaf. With the cup of leaves, he brought water to his thirsty mother and brothers. While his mother and brothers were asleep, forgetting their enemies, Bima remained on guard.
His mind drifted:
"Don't the trees and plants in this forest help each other and they live peacefully in the forest?" Thought Bima: "Why do Uncle Destarata and Duryudana have the heart to treat us like this?
" The noble heart of the Milky Way cannot understand why there are evil deeds. It is sad that his heart thinks about that.
Thus, the Pandavas continued to walk through the forest. They are suffering and in all sorts of dangers.
They took turns holding their mothers so that the journey could be faster. Sometimes, tired, they stop and rest. Sometimes when they feel the excitement and passion of young people, they are racing to be the fastest.
On the way, they meet Begawan Wiyasa. They all saluted the great teacher. Begawan Wiyasa gave encouraging advice and encouragement. When Kunti recounted the misfortune that befell them and their families, Wiyasa offered comfort:
"No wise man can continue to do good all his life. Similarly, no evil person is ever wallowing in sin. Life is like a spider web. There is no one who has never done good and no one who has never done evil. Everyone must bear the consequences of his own actions. Don't give up on
grief."
Then, as suggested by Begawan Wiyasa, they wore brahmana clothes. They continued their journey to the city of Ekacakra. While waiting for that moment
they live in the home of a brahmin.
