BRIHADRATA, commander of three regiments, came to power in the Kingdom of Magadha and gained recognition as a great hero. He married the twin daughter of King Kasi. He vowed to be fair to his two wives.
Unfortunately, despite being married for a long time, Brihadrata was not blessed with a son. When he was old, he gave his kingdom to the
ministerial. He went to the forest with his two wives and became a recluse. He went to the hermitage Resi Kausika, a descendant of Gautama, to complain of his sadness because he had not yet been blessed with a son. The sage was moved by compassion and asked what he wanted.
He said: "I have no children and go to the forest to leave your kingdom; give me a son."
The sage fell down and replied. While thinking about how to help the king, a mango fell on the
he took it and gave it to the king with the blessing: "Take this mango. Your wish will be fulfilled."
Then the king divided the mango into two. Then he gave it to his wives. The mango he split in two to keep his promise to be fair to his two wives. Shortly after, his two wives became pregnant. When
the time came, they gave birth. But instead of bringing happiness, the birth made them more and more immersed in deep sadness. Both his wives gave birth
the incomplete baby. Each gave birth to half of the body
that's repulsive. Actually, if put together the two births are one complete baby. Each has only one
eyes, one foot, half face, one ear, and so on.
Saddened, they ordered the servants to collect and put the horrible body pieces into the bag and throw them away. The servants did as they were told and threw the bag into a mound of trash on the edge of town.
Incidentally a rusasi (female giant) cannibal passed by the place.he was very happy to see two pieces of fresh meat.
When he gathered them into one, suddenly the two pieces became one, perfectly sticking together and becoming
a complete human child, no defects. The relaxation was very surprised. He undoes the intention to eat the creature
that tiny. Then, he disguised himself as a beautiful woman.he went to the king and handed the child over. He said: "This baby
my Master's son."
Brihadrata was overjoyed and handed the baby over to his two wives.
The boy was later known as Jarasanda. He grew up to be a young man. However, his body has one weakness, which is formed from two separate parts. His body could be split into two, if there was a force strong enough to separate it.
This fascinating story reveals an important truth, that two separate parts that can be fused will remain
weak, which is easily separated into two back.
After the conquest and attempt to eliminate Jarasanda was agreed, Krishna said: "Hamsa, Hidimba, Kamsa, and allies
The other jarasanda is dead. Now is a good time to attack him. No need to fight it out with our troops, we challenge him to fight, with or without weapons.
According to the law of honor at that time, a knight had to accept a challenge to fight, either with or without
hand or wrestle to death. It is this tradition that Krishna and the Pandavas will use to end Jarasanda's life.
They disguised themselves as wandering ascetics dressed in bark clothes and carried the sacred darbha grass as per ancient tradition. Thus they entered the kingdom of Magadha and arrived at the palace of Jarasanda.
At that time, Jarasanda felt a bad feeling. Therefore, he asked the priests to pray for his salvation.he himself underwent fasting and fasting. Krishna, Bima, and Arjuna entered the palace without weapons. Jarasanda welcomed them
well because their attitude and mannerisms show they come from a respectable environment. Bima and Arjuna did not
responding to Jarasanda's reprimand because they did not want to be forced to lie.
It was Krishnah who represented them: "They were both undergoing a mute ascetic. They can only talk after midnight." Jarasanda escorted them to the performance hall and returned to the palace.
Usually Jarasanda meets his guests who do tapa brata and talk to them at leisure. After midnight, he found his three guests. Jarasanda became suspicious when he saw their behavior. He also saw
in their hands were scuffles of bowstring marks and scars from bowstring. He also suspected their impressive faces
they are from the knights.
When Jarasanda asked him to tell him who they really were, they answered honestly: "We are your enemies. You can choose whom you will fight.
After being introduced to who their guests really are, Jarasanda said: "Krishna, you are a coward and Arjuna, you are still a boy; Bima, you are famous for your royal power. I'll fight him." Since Bima was not holding a weapon, Jarasanda agreed to fight without a weapon.
Bima and Jarasanda were both strong. They fought nonstop for thirteen days, without rest. Meanwhile, Krishna and Arjuna looked on with hearts pounding. On the fourteenth day, Jarasanda began to show signs of exhaustion. Krishna signaled to Bima that now is the right time
to kill. Bima immediately lifted Jarasanda up high, turned it, then with all his might slammed it into the ground until his body split in two. Bima shouted out a victory cry with excitement.
The two pieces of the body were fused back together and thus Jarasanda came to life again. It becomes stronger and more direct
attacking Bima.
Bima. He did not know what to do when he saw Krishna brandishing a rapid. Krishna cut it in half and threw the two pieces in the opposite direction. Bima immediately understood. And again, after
slamming Jarasanda in half, he immediately threw the two pieces of the body away in the opposite direction. This time, Jarasanda really met his death.
The sons of the captive king were freed and the son of Jarasanda was crowned King of Magadha. Then Krishna, Bima and Arjuna returned to Indraprastra.
With Jarasanda's death, the way to perform the Rajasuya ceremony stretched wide The Pandavas performed the ceremony
it was grand and festive. Yudhistira received the title "maharaja". There was only one event that slightly disrupted the course of the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, when the ceremony arrived, Sisupala was impolite in front of the grand guests. It ended with the death of Sisupala at the hands of Krishna.
