MAHABARATA

MAHABARATA
EPISODE 21'S. HIGHEST HONOR

The act of "leaving the ring" from a meeting for a protest was nothing new. We found

in the Mahabharata, the act of "leaving the ring" has been used for a long time.

At that time, India consisted of a number of independent kingdoms. Despite one dharma and one culture, the autonomy of each kingdom is respected in earnest. Sometimes, some powerful and ambitious kingdoms ask other kingdoms to recognize their power, and sometimes the request is taken for granted. After the recognition, the king of the kingdom

it will hold the Rajasuya ceremony. All the kings who agreed to recognize the power of the king were present at the ceremony to honor the power of the king who held Rajasuya. In accordance with tradition, after destroying Jarasanda the Pandavas invited kings and executed Rajasuya.

Take time to pay your respects. Usually, the guest who earns the ultimate honor is considered the most worthy of a great, powerful, wise king. Well, the question now is who deserves the respect

that is so great. As Yudhishthira himself argued; Bhishma, the royal elder, said it was Krishnah who deserved the honor.

Yudhistira followed Bhisma's advice. So, he told Sadewa to prepare all the ceremonial necessities for the honor

the main thing for Krishna.

Sisupala, the King of Chedi, who hated Krishna greatly could not accept the decision.

he scoffed with a loud laugh and said: "It's unfair and absurd, but I'm not surprised at all.

The person who asks for advice must have been born from an illegitimate birth (he insinuated the children of Kunti). Similarly, the person who gives advice, even though he is of high descent, his degree is declining (he insinuates Bhisma who was born of Dewi Ganga), just as the river water flows from the place

high to a lower place. And he who pays homage must also be the one born of that birth

illegitimate. Then, what can I say about the person who is bestowed with respect? People who are born stupid and

raised by a cowardly family. Hi, ladies and gentlemen, why are you quiet? Do you not see this stupidity? This is not a meeting for a noble king." Some of the king's sons who were present there clapped their hands in support of Sisupala.

Like getting a fresh breeze, Sisupala grew bolder. He said again, this time to Yudhishthira:

"Hi, Yudhishthira look at the kings present here. Are you not ashamed to give Krishna the ultimate honor? Many other kings were more worthy and noble than he. Dear Sunggubh, you who are the great king ignore this reality."

Sisupala's heart grew hotter, he continued: "You ignored the kings and heroes present here to fulfill your invitation and instead paid homage to a shameless coward. It's not worth it at all. Basudeva, Krishna's father was nothing more than a slave of Ugrasena. Even worse, it

deliberately want to show your biased attitude to Krishna, the son of Dewaki? Is it worth the sons of Pandu? Hi, Pandu's son, you are still green, poorly educated. You are not yet experienced enough to have a meeting of honorable kings. Bhisma is wrong

guide you and see the consequences, you are humiliated. Why Krishna? he's not a king! Yudhishthira, why do you defiantly defile the primary reverence at the meeting of the honorable kings? In fact, even if he sees the age he is not worthy. Or if you admire white hair, isn't his father still alive? Nor can you give him the ultimate honor because he is your advisor. Your advisor is Durna who is now here. Is it because he is most qualified in the execution of the offering ceremony? Obviously, no! Because of Begawan Wiyasa, the master is also present here. It is better that this honor be given to Bhisma, even though he is already udzur, he still deserves the main honor because he is the elder of your family. Or Mahaguru Kripa, your family's teacher, who was also present here. Why do you give the greatest honor to this man? Ashwatama, the hero and scribe, is also present here. Why did you choose Krishna and not him?"

"Among the sons of the king who were present here was also Duryudana. There was also Karna, a disciple of Parasurama. Wasn't he the hero who defeated Jarasanda with just one hand? Ignoring him, because of the child's picky attitude, you chose Krishna for the ultimate honor. Krishna is not a descendant of the king, has absolutely no officer, no scholar, no saint, even green. He is nothing more than a lowly coward! By choosing Krishna, you degrade all the kings and sons of the king you invited in

here."

"Her kings, I am not against bestowing the emperor's hands on Yudhishthira. Personally, we are not too

it matters whether he is a friend or an enemy. Because many hear about the nobility of his cultivation, we want to see if he can hold fast to the banner of dharma. Look now he is arbitrarily insulting us. Is the decision to pay homage to the crafty Krishna, who killed Jarasanda in such a subtle way in harmony with his famous nobility of mind? Thus, can we still call Yudhistira a virtuous person?"

Then he looked at Krishna and said: "You really don't know yourself. Wanted to receive the honor that you don't really deserve, from the Pandavas who don't know manners. Are you not glassy? Have you forgotten manners?

Do you not realize that this honor is actually insulting and humiliating to yourself? This respect is like showing valuable things in front of people's eyes

blind or offer a virgin girl on eunuchs. In short, this honor is actually an insult to you."

"Now, it becomes clear that Yudhistira, the senile Bhishma, and Krishna are the same."

After finishing with his sharp and heart-piercing words, Sisupala rose from his chair and invited the other kings to leave the meeting. Many followed in his footsteps.

Yudhishthira calmed the atmosphere with polite and patient words.he begged them to calm down and sit back down.

But the effort was in vain, they were already burning with anger. Sisupala's anger eventually culminated in a fight against Krishna. After a fierce fight, Sisupala died at the hands of Krishna.

Eventually, Rajasuya was able to do as he should and Yudhishthira was crowned emperor.
