85. INTRODUCE HIM TO US

        There was a sense of shame when I met Kak Jo this morning in the dining room at breakfast.

Remembering him who found out that I eavesdropped last night. Does Mom know I'm behind that wall?  I continued my breakfast as usual, not greeting the others including Mama and Kak Johana as well. I want people home to see my protests continue. I couldn't bear to not talk like before.

    "Oom!" Vania who was sitting on my left side called me slowly. I looked up and raised my eyebrows.

I forgot she was a toddler, I responded like I was responding to Josh.

    "Why, Sweety?" ask me and immediately change my face. I don't want him to be afraid of seeing the intimidating mimic that I've been presenting to him. It's enough that for a few weeks he's been scared and away from me.

    "When are we going to the park?" asked Vania with her innocent face. His eyes are round and very clear. Her hair was in high pigtails and leaving her bangs that were only half her forehead made her like a doll.

    "Come, continue eating again so hurry up!" I rubbed his head then sat back in the starting position and continued to eat breakfast. No one was involved in our conversation.

    "No, Om Josh must be busy keeping sick people medicated." Vania with her mouth full answered while shaking her head.

    "Take the food, baby!" tegur Mami ~Kak Johan~.

    "But later in the afternoon Oom is not busy loh Van, how, want to take Oom too?" Josh why so hard?

    "No! Vania same with Jan Jan ajjah." Vania immediately continued eating after answering Josh. And still shook his head even though Josh tried to offer various kinds as bribes.

    "Oom buy the latest bibi, will you?"

    "Well, are we having ice cream?"

    "No, Vania's the same as Jan Jan ajjah."

    "Om buy---"

    "Udah Josh, he doesn't want to be forced. That means he wants to be with Om Jan, not with you. Do not get used to the promise to buy this. Not well. Ntar he got used to having to be bribed." Jo's sister took action as a mediator.

My guess was right, all those adults were staring at me as it turned out.

A sound on my office door. I raised my head and looked at the door that was opened and Wulan's head appeared in my Papa.

    "Do you have time?" asked my father after he got into my room.

'Ck, there's no way I'm saying no, right? for free! the one who asked was already in sight.'

    "Sure!" I answered while standing up, walking towards the sofa in my room.

    "Please two coffees well, Lan!" I told Wulan and nodded before she walked out of my room.

My dad and I sat facing each other, nobody talking for a while. Until Wulan came and put two cups of coffee on the table.

    "Is there anything you want to say?" I'm just asking. Waiting is boring, right?

Even though I asked, Papa remained silent and of course I became confused and completely wrong.

I was thinking negatively when Papa set his eyes on the whole room. You know what I think?Will this room be given to someone else? Will papa's anger affect my job?

I'm starting to deg-degan actually, because I don't have a backup if depak.

I chuckled at Papa's reply. In my heart I thank Ayu for forbidding me from buying an apartment or a house at that time. If he had agreed yesterday, I would have finished it.
