That morning at the residence of Devan Avicenna. Mira and Karel sat together at a table. They kept quiet and there was nothing they talked about during breakfast.

Mira sees a strange gurgle in her son. After the announcement of Giga and Carissa's relationship, Mira felt that Karel had become moody and did not say anything.

Mira finished her breakfast. He looked at his son who was lazily feeding food into his mouth.

"Learn. The final exam is soon. I got to get a perfect score."

Karel laughed cynically. "I'll give you a gift if you surpass my grade last year."

Giga. "I'm not interested. I have my own standard of worth without being compared to anyone else."

Karel shook his head slowly. "Are you going to keep doing this? It was five years ago."

Giga kicked off his desk. "What do you mean talk like that?"

Karel grinned. He crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"You've made Carissa a stupid girl by chasing you. Do you realize you've hurt her?"

"He himself wants it. Why do you care?"

"You!" Karel was carried away by emotions. Talking with Giga was just a waste of energy. Either his heart was dead or it just covered up his fear.

"I'm here because Nathan called you to dinner. Then excuse me!"

Not wanting to continue arguing, Karel chose to go out of Giga's room. He just told me what Nathan asked for.

Giga sighed. He cursed himself who had spoken harshly to Karel. The man was a year older than her.

Giga took off his glasses and massaged the base of his nose. He could no longer focus on learning. Giga opted out of the room and greeted everyone at the dining table.

"Yes, we are all family. I mustn't forget that. Although I don't like Aunt Mira and Karel, they are my family. I have to respect them like my father and mother respect them" Giga said.
