Reasons for Dispute

Damian was still talking in front of his staff. He gave a little more speech because soon his company will work with the Avicenna Group. He wants his subordinates to increase their performance and make this company more advanced.

Vania kept her head down but she listened carefully to all of Damian's words. Until Damian stopped the meeting that morning and asked all staff to return to their respective workspaces.

As Vania moved from her seat...

"You! Come to my room!" damian pointed at Vania.

The appointed Vania still did not understand the situation. He gawked when he saw Damian coming out of the meeting room.

Vania looked at Josh who was still there. Josh convinces Vania that he has to go with Damian.

Vania followed Damian's steps until she arrived at the CEO's office. Damian went straight to his big chair and sat there.

"Come here!" damian said with a soft voice.

Even Vania was jolted because Damian's voice was so melodious as she was in the meeting room earlier.

"What's up, Mister?" asked Vania to vent.

"It! It's yours, right?"

Damian thrust out a cracked pair of glasses from Vania. Vania did not answer but she took the glasses from Damian's hand.

"I've replaced it with a new one. This is! Accept it!" Now Damian thrust a paper bag towards Vania.

"But, Mister..."

"Don't refuse! I want my staff to work well. Therefore, I also have to provide good facilities. You're the new accounting staff, aren't you?"

Vania nodded. "Thank you, sir."

"Then..."

Damian paused his sentence. Vania knew what Damian was going to say. This must be related to the incident some time ago, Vania thought.

"You better not judge what your eyes see. You should see it from the other side. Understood?!"

Vania nodded back. Suddenly the door to Damian's room opened and Sitta went inside.

"Damians! Oops! You have a guest?" sitta asked as she looked at Vania.

"You can go!" damian told Vania.

Vania saluted and then walked out of her boss' room. Vania breathed a sigh of relief as it turned out that Damian had not given her punishment.

"Damians! From today on I'll work for you" Sitta exclaimed and hugged Damian.

"Stop, Sitta! We're in the office! I don't like your attitude like this!" smirk Damian looks scary.

"okay! All righty! Now, what can I do?"

Damian looked back at Sitta fiercely. What a gaze that Sitta never got to know Damian.

"You're here to work! You should have known what you had to do! Just ask Josh! I'm busy! You better get out of here!"

Sitta who had no choice finally walked out of Damian's room in disappointment. Though he had helped thwart Nathan and Edo's cooperation, but even Damian was not grateful.

In a different place, Nathan was checking the files on his desk. Harvey looked at Nathan who looked serious. Especially now Nathan wears his glasses, and that adds a plus to his appearance.

"Master!"

"What's up, Harv?"

"Wouldn't you take action on what Miss Sitta did? We could've reported him to his father."

Nathan closes his file and looks at Harvey. "I do not want to interfere in their disputes. That won't benefit me. Then about Sitta... The girl can't work. She was the same as Marina who was just using the power of their family."

Harvey nodded in understanding. "But now you have accepted the cooperation of the Ford Company. Isn't that weird?"

"What can I do? In business we have to put aside the heart, Harv. So, I'll just take advantage of him."

Harvey nodded back.

"Oh yeah, when's the meeting with Damian Ford?" ask Nathan.

"This one, sir. They've sent the file."

Harvey saluted then passed.

In the evening, Edo who felt tired returned to ride his motorcycle to become an older brother ojol. Actually he did not intend to find customers, but if anyone needs help, then Edo will be happy to take them.

"Hi, Miss! Looks like we are indeed destined to continue meeting ya!" edo said when he saw Vania carrying her plastic bag.

"Mr Edo? How come it's here?" ask Vania who is a little confused.

Edo laughed again. Plain girls like Vania turned out to be able to make her mood improve.

"All right! This time it's not free. Can you cook?"

"okay! That's what I need. You cook me some food, and I'll take you home. How's it?" bargain Edo.

Vania nodded in agreement. He immediately gave Edo his bag of groceries and he climbed into the back seat of the Edo motorcycle.

Before long, they arrive at Naina's house. Today Naina came home late because she had to work overtime.

Vania immediately executed the food ingredients she had bought. Vania deftly processed the food to make Edo swallow his saliva. Edo could not wait to eat Vania's cooking.

It didn't take long, Vania served food to Edo and herself. Not to forget Vania also left food for Naina if the girl is hungry in the middle of the night.

"Please enjoy!" vania said with a smile.

Edo greedily ate the food in front of him. In fact, he prefers to eat home-cooked food rather than eat at an expensive restaurant. He loved his mother's cooking.

After eating dinner, Edo and Vania sit on the porch of Naina's house while waiting for the girl to come home.

"How long has it been Ojol's brother?" ask Vania.

"Have you ever had a fight with your best friend?" ask Edo.

Vania frowned. "What was the reason that you were at odds?"

"Sorry! I didn't mean to interfere!" Vania cupped both her hands together.

"It's okay. I should have forgotten all that. Because he also no longer exists in this world." Edo story with a sad face.

"Him?" Vania tried to understand what Edo was saying.

"The three of us were friends. Me, Samuel and one more friend of ours. We always spend time together. One night, he invites Samuel to bet on a wild motorcycle race. It's really unethical. I disagree, but Samuel agrees. We were 20 years old at the time. We are still curious about many things. Until finally the race was done by Samuel and him."

Vania listened to Edo's story.

"Samuel was involved in an accident in the race. And his life was not helped. He is the backbone of his family. Samuel's family tried to sue him by going through the law. But what is the law for the weak like us. He has power and also treasure. He even bribed everyone related to the accident including Samuel's family."

Vania's hand stretched out and rubbed Edo's back.
