Karel thought about everything her mother said. In the office, he could not focus on work. Until finally, the sound of his phone made Karel realize.

A call from Carissa.

"Hello, what's wrong?"

"Sister, can we meet?"

"Hmm, where?"

"Cafe near sister's office."

"All right."

Call ended. Karel fixed his appearance and walked out of the room. He glanced at Merlinda who was busy doing her work.

Karel did not greet Merlin as usual. He went straight to the cafe.

Arriving there, Karel sat opposite Carissa. Karel stared intently at Carissa.

"Why look at me like that? Do I look like a criminal?" ask Carissa.

"No! But I'm sure this must have something to do with you."

"W-what? What is brother talking about? I don't get it. I asked to meet because I was just bored. That's all!"

"I'm sure either you or your mother are looking into Merlinda's past."

"What?! Merlinda's past?" Carissa still doesn't understand Karel's words.

"really. My mom told me she got information from your mom that Merlinda was the son of the man who kidnapped Giga."

Carissa gawked in disbelief that Karel would just leave her. Carissa immediately contacted her mother and asked to meet.

"Mama! Is that true? Is it true that Merlinda's father was the one who kidnapped Giga?"

"Yes, that's right. Mama got it from a reliable source. Now it's time for you to show Giga who she likes!"
