Chapter 19: The Child of Flora

"So, what business are you doing in my office?" ask Alvaro with a sharp tone.

He doesn't like Prilly acting out of bounds at all. There is an agreement between them that Prilly should not interfere in his affairs, nor should he. He only agrees to marry at the insistence of the family, but he does not want to be Prilly's husband.

"Darling, where were you last night? Leonard's got a fever, he's looking for you" Prilly said with a clear face. He displays sadness for Alvaro to feel sorry for him.

"If she has a fever, take her to the hospital or call the family doctor" Alvaro replied.

"You don't know what our son is like? He's so spoiled, he wants you to seduce him" whined Prilly.

Gavin held his mother's hand. He could only look at the man he used to call papa being with other women. He felt sad, he wished his mother was near the father.

Meanwhile, Flora threw away her gaze. He is very upset by Prilly's words about his son. Moreover, the woman was acting pretentious and innocent.

"Alright, take Leo to the doctor first. Tell me that today I'll be home soon" said Alvaro.

Prilly developed a wide smile. He feels very happy. "Alright, Honey. We'll wait for you to come home" he said, giving Alvaro a spontaneous kiss before he left the room.

The atmosphere became clumsy.

"Flora," call Alvaro.

"Yes, Sir?"

"Why is Gavin here?" ask Alvaro.

"I'm sorry, sir. Gavin School is on holiday, I don't know where to put it. So I took him to the office."

"But then we have a meeting. Is this the schedule?"

"Really, Sir. No need to worry, Gavin's a smart kid. He could wait here quietly as long as there were toys and food. I've prepared everything."

Flora shows an angle to relax for Gavin along with all kinds of supplies brought from home.

Alvaro was still doubtful. He was worried that Gavin would make a mess in the office. He took his cell phone and called someone.

"Come to my room right now!" his orders.

Flora was shocked to hear Alvaro's words. "Sir, you want to drive Gavin out of here? I can guarantee he won't interfere" he said worriedly. He was afraid that Alvaro would call security to take his son away.

"You take it easy, I'll just find him a friend during our meeting" replied Alvaro.

Not long after, a young male employee entered the room. His name is Rion, the apprentice of the marketing division.

"What did you call me?" ask Rion curiously. He seems afraid to be scolded because he may have made mistakes that he did not realize.

"This morning Flora and I had a meeting for about two hours. You please accompany this child here" Alvaro said.

Only once did he see the boy there. He was sure it was not Alvaro's son because it was different from the picture in the photo. Moreover, Alvaro is famous for not liking small children, no employee should dare to bring his child into the office.

"He's my son, Rion," said Flora. He no longer wanted to cover his son's whereabouts to anyone. Having Gavin is a happiness for him, not a disgrace to hide.

"Huh? Flora's mother has a child?" Rion stunned. The new employee who was assessed was already having children. He hopes to be close to Flora. Hope you know that fact.

"So how, you can take care of her, right?" ask Alvaro to make sure.

"Yes, Sir. I will take good care of this child," replied Rion clumsily.

"Flora, the materials for this morning's meeting are ready, right? We better get to the meeting room early to prepare everything!" alvaro Pinta.

"Good, Sir. I have everything prepared!" answer Flora steady. "Darling, you're a good boy here, yeah! Mama wants to work first" he whispered to Gavin.

He grabbed a briefcase and carried some documents following Alvaro out of the room.

Alvaro walked at a brisk pace until Flora had to half-run to keep up with his pace.

"Next time don't deal with Prilly!" Alvaro's orders.

Flora wondered why she was the one being scolded. "You take it easy, sir. I'm not going to say that Gavin is actually your son. He's just my son" he said in annoyance.

"Who's got a problem with that? Gavin is still my son. I just don't want you and Gavin to get in trouble because of him."

"Then you should teach your wife to be polite!" tepis Flora with how dare.

Alvaro stopped the move. He stared at Flora. However, the woman also looked at him boldly.

"Well imagine what it's like to hear your son being called an illegitimate child? Are you not hurt?" flora.

Alvaro sighed. What Flora said was true, which is probably the woman would just shut up when her son was insulted. He was just worried that Prilly would hurt them.

"Yes already, I did! We better focus on meeting later. Especially tomorrow we also need to go out of town for a review of the project again. Let's go inside!" bring Alvaro.

They entered the empty meeting room. Alvaro wants everything ready before the meeting starts.

"Do I have to take part in the project review tomorrow, sir? Can't it be replaced by a section chief?" ask Flora.

"How are you? You're my secretary, time doesn't come?" Alvaro looked at the woman in surprise.

"It's not so, sir. What about Gavin. I don't know who to leave it to. It is also impossible if I invite him," said Flora anxiously. She fears Samantha has kidnapped her son.

Alvaro was confused. He thought of the best way for Flora to stay on a business trip without worrying about leaving Gavin.

"That's my business, you take it easy. Gavin I'll handle it" Alvaro said lightly.
