"Why are you hiding this from me, Flora?"
Alvaro was so visibly angry when he learned of his son's illness. He did not expect if it turns out Gavin has a disease that sounds very terrible from the explanation of the doctor.
Luckily Gavin was quick to get treatment in the hospital and his blood type was the same as Gavin. The boy lost quite a lot of blood from the impact. His condition is still critical and received treatment from a doctor.
The two waited outside as they were not allowed to enter by the medical team.
Flora was still crying as hard as worrying about her son. He could not think well in such a situation.
"Flora ... Answer me!" urge Alvaro who is still upset.
"You think this is easy? I'm confused too!" refute Flora half yelling. Alvaro's question bothered him a lot, while he wanted to calm down first.
"What kind of mother are you? Tega separated his own son from his father. If you know Gavin's condition like this, let me take him from the beginning."
"If Gavin is with me, I can provide him with the best care and doctors. Your behavior is endangering Gavin's condition!"
Alvaro was very disappointed with Flora's attitude. From the beginning, the woman kept hiding the fact that Gavin was her son. If he hadn't investigated his own past, Flora would never have been honest with him.
"You've never been in my position, don't assume that you're the only one who can make wise decisions!"
As a mother who has been with Gavin for six years, of course Flora does not want her son taken.
Alvaro was eager to express his anger, but he refrained from remaining patient.
"You think I haven't had any trouble all this time? I was also looking around for the woman who slept with me that night because I wanted to take responsibility! You ran away from me yourself!"
Flora looked at Alvaro sharply. "I did it to keep your wife and children feeling! If I wanted to, I would have told everyone that Gavin is your son!"
"I've been doing a lot for Gavin's recovery. I've contacted hospitals to international donor foundations to get bone marrow that matches it. But, as of now there's no news."
"You also don't know what advice the doctor gave me" Flora said. He wiped the remains of his tears.
"What's? The doctor suggested what? If the cost doesn't matter to me, whatever I'll give Gavin's recovery." Alvaro was impatient to hear it. He wants the best for his son.
"The doctor told me to have another child!" answer Flora firmly.
Alvaro was stunned to hear that absurd-sounding answer.
"Doctor's word, Gavin's siblings are more likely to have a spinal cord match to be donated to Gavin" Flora said.
Alvaro swiftly grabbed the woman's hand until their eyes looked at each other. "Let's get married!" he said spontaneously.
"Why indeed? If that's the solution, why don't we do it? Rather than you marrying carelessly, your son probably won't have a high match for Gavin. Better marry me, right? Because Gavin is my real son. If someone else is your husband, he may not love Gavin as much as I love him. Do you still want to be stubborn about this?"
Alvaro spoke very seriously. He thought of nothing else but Gavin's recovery.
"Don't forget, Alvaro. You already have a wife and children. They will be hurt if they hear this," said Flora. If it were that easy, he would have decided long ago.
Alvaro was silent for a moment. "I'm going to divorce Prilly and marry you" she said lightly.
"What?" Flora doesn't believe in me and Alvaro. "Have you made your decision? What kind of a man are you?"
Flora had been holding herself back from harming anyone. But, Alvaro too easily followed his own will without caring about the feelings of others.
"I married Prilly just to cover her up from the embarrassment of being pregnant first. Leon's not my son. Do I have to put their feelings first in comparison to my own son's safety?" ask Alvaro.
Now, Flora who was looking at hearing that fact.
Alvaro again grabs the hand of Flora, the woman he has long loved. "You don't know how happy it was when I found out you were the woman I slept with that night. Not because I did it on purpose, but I'm happy that woman is you, the only woman I've loved for so long since we were in high school." she finally expressed her honesty.
"Well! No kidding!" Flora did not want to believe Alvaro's words. He tried to take the man's hand off him, but could not. He couldn't believe that Alvaro had that feeling for him. At High School, the man even likes to bully himself who is still fat.
"I don't want to joke, Flora! I'm being honest with you!" Alvaro.
"Your behavior always bothered me until I wasn't at school. You also said that I was fat and ugly. Where is anyone who likes someone but instead mocks him every day?" tepis Flora's.
"There! That's me ... I'm the guy. I liked you a long time ago. That's why I like to bother you to get your attention" Alvaro replied.
Flora's a notoriously smart and quiet kid in High School. His body was indeed a little fat with thick glasses that were always worn. His appearance is somewhat geeky and according to Alvaro who is the type of child slang, it is very difficult to approach women like Flora. Their social status is different.
Since childhood Alvaro was taught his parents to choose equal friendships. Likewise when choosing a partner. If his parents knew he liked a girl from the common people, his parents would definitely keep Flora away from him.
Only one way that Alvaro can always be close to Flora without making anyone suspicious, is by doing annoying things to disturb Flora. Everyone thinks that Alvaro likes to bully Flora. In reality, it was just his way of getting close to Flora without being caught.
"If you marry me, I'll make sure you're happy, because I love you so much. I love Gavin too. Flora, let's marry me" Alvaro assured.
Flora still can't decide. It felt strange to hear the sudden confession of love from that annoying guy. Even Alvaro's infuriating demeanor still continued when he was first accepted into the company.
"Family patient Son of Gavin, please be able to enter the room. His son is conscious."
A nurse appeared from behind the door of the treatment room, stopping the serious conversation of the two. Soon they approached the nurse to see Gavin's condition.
