Chapter 23: The Rebuttal of Papa

"Finally there."

Flora let out a sigh of relief as the car she was riding in stopped in front of Alvaro's house. For two days he endured his longing for the child. The business dealings he was taking on outside the city could be completed sooner than they should.

Alvaro actually invites Flora to come home tomorrow. However, he forced to go straight home despite the new night until after a 5-hour journey.

"You just stay here, yeah! Gavin must have been sleeping, too" pinta Alvaro sat next to Flora.

"No, I'm going home now. If Gavin sleeps, I'll wake him up. It's not good to bother people over time" Flora said.

Gavin held down Flora's hand which was about to grab the doorknob. "Who do you call someone else, hm? I'm Gavin's father" he protested.

Flora just smiled. He took Alvaro's hand off him. "That's it, don't talk about it anymore, yeah! You just leave the seeds, but I carry them and raise them myself" he said. He opened the side door and got out of the car.

Alvaro with a slightly irritated face also followed Flora who rushed into the house.

"Bas stubborn!" alvaro lirih.

The atmosphere of the house was quite quiet considering that it was late at night, the waiter had rested in his place.

"What are you in a hurry for? Gavin must have slept. You are very worried, even though the servants also take good care of him," said Alvaro.

"Yes, Sir. Thanks for that. But I miss my son so much" Flora said.

"Aah!"

Suddenly the sound of screams from the top made Alvaro and Flora startled. Both of them immediately rushed to the top floor.

"Gavin!" flora shouted in panic.

He was surprised to see his son lying on the floor with a bloody forehead. His feet immediately trembled as if limp and not strong to stand looking at that condition. Meanwhile, not far from Gavin there are Leon and Prilly who do nothing to help his son.

Feeling anxious, Flora ran up to her son and hugged him.

"Mama ..." whine Gavin.

Flora was still shocked and trembling with her son's condition.

"What's this about? Why is Gavin hurt?" ask Alvaro who was surprised. He saw Leon there too.

"Gavin accidentally fell, honey. Leon and Gavin had a bit of a fight. If it wasn't for Gavin saying he wanted to have a papa like you. Leon won't be angry either" Prilly said in defense of his son.

She was quite surprised to see her husband's return sooner than she expected. His heart was a little worried that Alvaro would get angry because of that incident.

"Leon, what's going on?" ask Alvaro. He doesn't believe Prilly's words.

"Papa, Gavin is evil. He wants to take Papa away from me. He also yesterday pushed Mama to almost drown in the pool. Mama's leg is still sprained" Leon said with fear.

In fact, he felt guilty for pushing Gavin so hard that he hit the table and his forehead bled. However, he is more afraid if his father is actually taken by Gavin.

"This kid has no manners! Listen to yourself, honey! He called you his father. How can Leon not be angry, try? This must be his mother's teaching too!" pissed Prilly.

"Papa ..," Leon whines while hugging his father. He was so afraid of losing his father.

Alvaro sighed. He scrunched his own forehead which felt dizzy. It is unexpected that the chaos in his house is only because of a small matter.

"Prilly, shut up! Don't make things worse and make Leon's misunderstanding worse" Alvaro said.

"But, honey, is it wrong for me to defend my own son? Leon's your son, he's afraid his father's taken another son!" Prilly won't budge. He insisted that his son was innocent about the incident.

"Honey, Mama has reminded you not to haphazardly call her papa," said Flora reminded her own son. He did not know that Gavin would call Alvaro Papa. The child is usually very obedient.

"Sorry, Ma ... Gavin just wants to have Papa" Gavin said innocently.

That clear eye gaze always rendered Flora helpless. On one hand he was eager to make his son happy, but on the other hand he was also unwilling to destroy the happiness of others.

"Mama, Gavin's head hurts. Gavin's eyes are dark, "gavin complained.

Flora was again worried about her son's suddenly weak and pale condition. "Darling, you're okay, right? We'll be home soon, baby!" he said while shaking a little Gavin's body in his arms.

Gavin didn't give a response. The boy looked increasingly limp and finally closed his eyes unconscious.

"Gavin! Gavin! Wake, Honey!" flora shouted in panic. He increasingly shakes his son to wake up. However, Gavin remained unconscious.

Seeing that, Alvaro let go of Leon's embrace. He ran to Gavin.

"Flora, what's the matter with Gavin?" tanyanya's worried. Especially seeing Flora who was already crying.

"Here, you spoiled child! Just a little blood has passed out!" prilly Cibir.

Leon is stunned at the spot to see his father who cares more about other children than him. He feels very sad.

"Sir, please help me get Gavin to the hospital. He must be helped immediately" Flora said in a trembling tone.

"Yes, yes, let's take him to the hospital" Alvaro said.

Quickly the man took Gavin's body and carried it. While passing Leon, he only stared at the boy briefly and then ran away to take Gavin out of the room. Flora followed behind while crying.

"Sir, hurry and get us to the nearest hospital!" alvaro ordered the driver to rest in the front yard.

Hearing the command from Alvaro, the driver rushed to open the car door to let Alvaro and Flora go inside with Gavin. Without waiting for long, the driver drove out his car.

"Why can't his blood stop? Is the wound bad?" alvaro asked worriedly as well as astonished. His shirt was covered in blood and still wet from Gavin's head.

"He mustn't be hurt, sir" Flora said as she continued to cry. "Sir driver, can you drive a little faster? Gavin should get a doctor's treatment quickly!" his insistence.

"Yes, Mom. Here I try to drive as fast as possible" said the driver.
