Chapter 3: The Boss of the Bully Builder

The first day of work Flora was immediately asked to accompany Alvero to meet a client from Singapore. The man still had time to mock him occasionally with the name “Bul-bul” which is a mockery when SMA. Flora could only try to ignore Alvero's childish behavior.

“Your appearance is very ugly, fortunately it is helped by your good communication skills,” said Alvero after the meeting ended.

“He can't change,” grumbled Flora who was upset in a small voice.

“Just tomorrow you have to dress up neat and beautiful. If you need plastic surgery. If there is no cost, I will finance,” added Alvero.

“Cih, cocky!” lirih Flora's.

He did not know if he would be able to work with the man next. It was only the first day that he wanted to stop.

“You've been talking since why shut up?” alvero protest.

Flora smiled. “Good, Sir. I'll do what you ask,” he said.

“It will be very difficult to dress your ugly face. But, at least you're not as fat as you used to be. Your cheeks are also more tapered now.”

“Pak, can't you stop discussing my physique?” finally Flora let out her complaint.

“You offended?” ledek Alvero's.

Flora did not think there was such a man. Although his face was handsome, but if he was the only man in this world, he would not choose him. Flora is also relieved that Alvero does not know that Gavin is her son.

“I better raise a lot of money for Gavin's treatment than to ask a narcissistic and arrogant man like him,” grumbled Flora softly.

“What did you say?” Alvero was like hearing Flora speak something.

“It's okay, Sir. I am ugly,”.

“Nah, you admit it yourself.” Alvero smiled happily. I don't know why he was so happy to be able to tease someone who he hadn't seen for so long. “Then, we go to the lobby for a bit,” take him.

“Isn't my working hours over?” flora Protest.

Alvero squinted next to his eyebrows. “I just want to introduce you to the person who used to make me a drink. Because you are now the secretary, so you have to make it for me.”

Flora did not believe that being a secretary also had to prepare drinks for her superiors as well. He felt like he was being made a servant.

“After that you can go straight home,” said Alvero.

Flora can only obey. He followed his boss into a special elevator that was different from the one he had taken this morning. This elevator looks better and more luxurious.

“This is a special elevator for company officials. Since you are my secretary, you can wear it,” Alvero said.

Ting!

Elevator door opens.

A boy stood straight in front of them. His eyes look clear and sparkling.

“Mama ...” Call the boy innocently.

“Papa?” call him again when he sees Alvero, the man standing next to his mother.

Flora was panicking. He stepped out of the elevator immediately holding Gavin and closed his mouth. Meanwhile, Alvero was still stunned on the spot. It was like hearing the boy call ‘Mama’.

“Sorry, Sir. Looks like I have to go home now,” Flora said awkwardly.

“Mama, what a handsome om it ..”

Flora shut her son's mouth. He does not want Alvero to know that Gavin is his son. “Sorry, Sir. I'm home now!” he immediately ran away from Alvero.

Alvero came out of the elevator feeling astonished. Since graduating from High School, he has never met Flora again.

“Flora already have children? Means he's married?” ask him to yourself. “So the kid called ‘Mama’, right? Or was that kid calling ‘Papa’? Sure enough, Flora's time is married?”

As Alvero recalled, he had read all the biodata that Flora gave him. Education history and work experience and abilities he has read carefully. He believes if the biodata is written that Flora status is still single.

“Is she already a widow?” he was getting curious.

Alvero re-entered the elevator to his room. He took Flora's biodata, which was still lying on his desk. He read it again. It is clearly written that Flora's status is single.

“I'm not wrong, right? He is still single,” muttered Alvero.

“The child's age seems to be the same as Leonard's, maybe about five years old. Since when did she become a single mother?”

Alvero turned his gaze to the family photo attached there. He thought the boy he had seen was about the same age as his son, Leonard.

He took his cell phone and called someone. “Please find information about my new secretary. All things, just get the information. Tomorrow I wait for the report to be on my desk!” his orders.

“I want to see Mama's new workplace,” replied Gavin without guilt. He was busy enjoying his lollipops.

Flora sighed. “Gavin, don't repeat again, yes! Miss Rida was so worried about you,” her advice.

Gavin nodded. “I'm sorry Gavin yes, Ma,” he said innocently.

“Iya, Darling. Mama has forgiven you,” reply Flora with a genuine smile.

The boy had already thrown his school into an uproar. All the teachers at Tunas Permata School thought Gavin was missing and kidnapped. It turned out that the smart boy went alone to the company where his mother worked.

“Gavin,” call Flora.

“Iya, Ma?”

“You were in Mama's office riding what?” ask Flora curiously. The distance between the office and Gavin school is quite far and Gavin does not give pocket money.

Gavin gave a big smile. “I was pretending to be a lost child, Ma. Then, there's a cop passing by. Gavin said mom worked at the company. So, Gavin was ushered there,” he said.

Flora's heart feels like it's about to be dislodged. He humbled himself and knelt down in front of Gavin until their gazes aligned. “Gavin, listen to Mama carefully .. don't do anything like that again, yes!”

Gavin nodded.

“If you want to meet Mama or want something, tell Mother Teacher or Mama. Don't go alone.” Flora felt lucky because this time her son met a kind-hearted cop. He could not imagine if what Gavin met was a kidnapper, maybe Gavin is really missing right now.

“Iya, Mama. Advice Mama will I remember,” he said.

“Ah, this is new good boy Mama,” praise Flora.

He hugged his son while continuing their journey to the rented house.

“Mama, Om handsome who was it?” ask Gavin.

Flora feels so lazy to discuss

a guy sucks like Alvero. However, his son would not be content to ask before he answered. “She's Boss Mom, Babe.”

“It looks like Gavin is similar to that Om, Ma. Is he Papa Gavin?”

Flora was silent for a moment. “Sstt! You do not carelessly call “Papa”, someone will be angry!”

“Why angry, Ma?” ask Gavin curiously.

“Bos Mama is married, she already has children too. Later his son is angry if you follow him calling him ‘Papa’.”

That night Flora was sitting with her son enjoying dinner while watching television. Gavin was used to eating by himself. The boy looks good eating his favorite rice and shisamo fish.

Flora is still struggling on her laptop compiling a schedule of company meetings with clients. He did not want to give the CEO of the annoying company could criticize his work.

"Ma, the boss in Mama's office is suitable as my papa because he is very handsome just like me" said Gavin.

Flora just sighed. He thinks his son also inherited the man's narcissistic nature. Gavin's face was also quite similar to Alvaro's, let alone his two eyes.

"Gavin, you told me not to think that way again."

"But, we're moving in to find Papa, Ma. So, where's my dad?" urged Gavin.

He wanted to know who his father was. He is often abused by his friends because he does not have a father.

"You're patient, yeah. Later when the time is right, we will meet Papa," said Flora to calm her son.

"Mom has a picture of Papa? We can take him to the police station to help find him" Gavin said.

Flora's son is too smart to be fooled. From childhood, the child grew up to be a critical child. Everything is asked until sometimes he is confused himself to answer it.

"It just so happens that Mama doesn't keep a picture of your papa, honey," Flora reasoned.

"All of Gavin's friends have photos with his mother, Ma. It's just Gavin who doesn't have it" Gavin protested.

Flora stops her work and approaches Gavin. He hugged the child he loved so much. He recalled the photo in Alvero's office. Her tears fell, sadly, she could not tell that Gavin's father was actually nearby.

"Mama why cry?" ask Gavin.

"Soalnya Mama is sad not yet able to bring Gavin with Papa. Mama's sorry, yes," said Flora.

With his little hand, Gavin wiped the tears that ran down his mother's face. "Yes, Mama. Its alright. Gavin will help you find. Don't be sad anymore."
