My husband's Traumaku
Chapters 18. Divorce?!

Diana breezes over leaving Linda pecking in the kitchen. Linda's heart is like sliced. Erik and Diana had not thought about her feelings at all.

Linda stopped making me drink this Diana then walked out of the kitchen. She wanted to go back to her room and cry to vent her heartache. But then she accidentally overhears a conversation from Erik and Diana in the living room. Curiosity made Linda stop and listen to the conversation between the two of them.

"I can hardly believe she's your wife."

"Why?"

"Yes ... Just look at her looks, hicks and village. It's a stark contrast to be with you."

"He is indeed a village darling ... "

"You should be able to find a better one. It was fitting that you pretended you didn't know him in front of me." Diana giggles. "Are you ashamed to have a wife like her?"

Erik chuckled at Diana's question.

Linda continued to listen to the conversation of the two of them until she did not feel that her tears had already poured down her cheeks.

"Why don't you just divorce her?"

"Hm ... I haven't thought about that at the moment. You know I don't have a maid? If I divorce her then who will clean the house and take care of all my needs?"

Linda's heart ached at Erik's words. True said Sari, Linda had never realized that Erik had never treated her like a wife. Erik was kind to him only when he had his will. The rest of Erik treated Linda like a slave.

Many times Sari, the older sister reminded Linda of that but Linda just closed her eyes and ears. He keeps convincing himself if he loves Erik and vice versa. If she obeys everything Erik told her it's because Linda did her job as a wife.

But the words that had just come out of Erik's mouth made Linda aware. Her love for Eric made her fooled by her own husband. Linda is willing to be Erik's milk cow to prove her love.

"So she's just a maid to you?"

"Yes ... Think of it that way," Erik replied casually and accompanied by Diana's laughter.

"Does that mean you don't love him?"

"Right now I just love you!" diana's voice laughed again. It seemed like he was enjoying his conversation with Erik a lot.

Linda was powerless to listen to Erik and Diana's conversation any further. He immediately ran to his room and cried.

Erik was very happy with him. Erik is the only man in his life, Linda loves him wholeheartedly and Linda is sure Erik loves her too.

Her night...

Erik went home as usual. Linda who was accompanying Aruna learned to go straight out of Aruna's room and approach Erik. She waited and prepared herself to talk to her husband.

"Mas ... We need to talk!" greet Linda as soon as Erik enters the house.

"Speak what?" reply Erik indifferently as usual.

"Please leave that woman!" linda said without further ado.

"Why indeed?"

"I love you Mas and you love me too right?" Linda was really like a fool who was still asking Erik for his love.

Erik smiled cynically. "If I love you, do we get rich?" Erik took out his wallet.

"Nuh ... Diana gave a million. He said so you could buy decent clothes. He feels sorry for you!" Erik threw the money right in Linda's face.

"Mas, but we're long married. We already have Aruna. Although not rich all this time we are fine. I'm happy to live with you even though I have to live a little bit." Looks like Linda doesn't remember what she's been through while being Erik's wife.

"If I don't leave him then what do you want?!" snapped Erik. "You're divorced, huh?!! Want to go home to your parents?!!" As usual Erik issued a threat to divorce Linda.

"Yes, I want a divorce!" linda replied firmly. This was the first time he dared to say that word. He might be able to hold on with Erik's casual attitude, but he doesn't accept that Erik is wishing for his love.

"God ... What if you get divorced from me there will be a man who will be with you?!! Look at your skinny, grasshopper-like appearance, where is there a man who would be like you besides me?!! You are not self-conscious or how the hell?!!" Erik was stirred up by emotion.

"I don't care!" reply Linda without fear. Out of nowhere he gained the courage to reply to Erik's words.

"Gat!!!" One slap landed on Linda's cheek. "How dare you?!!" Erik glared in disbelief Linda dared to say that to him.

"Where do you want to live?!! Go back to your parents' house and stay jostling with them?!! You are not ashamed to be a widow?!! You don't think about your mother's feelings that you are so proud of?!!"

Linda held her cheek. "I don't care!" answer Linda again.

Erik grew angry at Linda's reply. His hand came back forward and slapped Linda once more. Then pull Linda's hair until Linda grimaces in pain.

"Will you ask for a divorce?!" erik asked in a gripping tone.

Linda shook her head in fear. "No, my mom, I love you. I don't want to part with you. But I beg you to leave the woman" Linda replied softly.

"Diana is now my source of money. Don't expect me to leave him!" Erik took his hand off Linda's hair.

Linda kept her head down not daring to look at Erik.

"It ... Don't ask for a divorce! You are so good to live with me! Not much behavior!" Erik started to soften.

"Now I want to sleep, don't disturb!" Erik leaves Linda after Linda is completely frightened of him.

Linda's body feels weak. He drooped on the floor after Erik's departure. His body hurt but his heart hurt a lot more. For years as Erik's wife, Linda always felt afraid of her husband.

Linda held onto her cheek as she stared at the money splattered on the floor. Linda continued to look at the money, the money that became the source of her household's tempest.

Suddenly Linda remembered Aruna who was studying in her room. Soon she wiped her tears and picked them up and put the money in her pocket. In a hurry Linda walked to Aruna's room. She was sure Aruna heard her father screaming and that made Linda worried.

Linda opened the door to Aruna's room. Inside the room she saw Aruna curled up and covered her ears with a pillow.

Linda approached and moved the pillow that covered Aruna's ears.

"Are you not angry?" aruna asked as soon as she saw the face of the mother in front of her.

With all her heart Linda forced herself to smile in front of Aruna despite her heart crying bitterly. "Dad not angry. Mom and Dad just misunderstood. It's okay now."

"Runa doesn't like to hear dad yelling at mom. Runa doesn't like to see mom cry because of dad."

Linda's heart grew saddened to hear her son's words.

"Mom didn't cry." Once again he forced a smile in front of Aruna. "Where?" ask Linda in a hoarse voice. She opened her eyes wide and showed Aruna that she was not crying.

Then Linda hugged Aruna and then Linda's cry broke again behind Aruna's back.

"What's mom's cheek red from being hit by dad?"
