My husband's Traumaku

My husband's Traumaku
Chapter 41. Pick up Aruna

Linda was struggling with cloth and thread when her phone suddenly rang. Linda immediately answered the phone because Aruna called.

"Mother ... " Aryan's voice from across the phone.

"Dear, what's wrong?"

"What's mom coming home tonight?" Looks like Aruna already knows that her mother won't be coming home tonight.

"Maybe tomorrow morning. I still have a lot of work to do." Linda still has a lot of work. Even want to be overtime until tomorrow morning is not necessarily finished.

Aruna was silent for a moment. Maybe he's disappointed.

"Can Runa stay at dad's?" ask Aruna suddenly.

Linda did not answer. A few hours at his father's house might be fine. But if he stays, he can't allow it yet. Anyway this week is his ration with Aruna.

"Mother ... Can Runa stay at dad's?" Aruna repeated the question.

"Why do you suddenly want to stay at my dad's house?"

"Didn't mom come home tomorrow morning? Tonight Runa is lonely if mom doesn't come home. So I want to stay at Dad's."

"Are there no grandparents? Runa can also ask grandma to deliver to Tika's sister's house, Runa can stay at Tika's sister's house."

"Every day Runa with Grandpa and Grandma Mom. Runa has also often stayed at Tika's sister's house. Runa is bored."

"Tomorrow if mom comes home how? Mom's time is far away from home even Runa not at home?"

"Tomorrow I'll have my dad drive Runa home early in the morning. Before mom gets home. Can you please, Mom?!"

"Did your grandfather give you permission?"

"Grandfather told me to ask mother. If you allow grandfather to also allow. That's why Runa called mom. Can you ma'am?" Aruna started whining.

Actually Linda did not want to give permission, but pity as well. Tonight he was busy with his work.

"Allah ... Just this once."

"Thank you, I'll see you." Aruna hung up the phone. He seems to be very happy because he got permission from his mother. Linda smiled looking at her phone. Sad and happy she felt at the same time. Sad because his son was not so expecting his presence but he was also happy because Aruna was happy.

Indeed after Aruna got closer to her father she became carefree and looked happier. Linda could see and feel that. Therefore, his attitude towards Erik softened a little even though he kept his distance.

Aruna always told her father kindness whenever they spent time together. Sometimes Linda gets jealous when she hears Aruna tell her father.

Often Linda wonders if Erik is really that good now? But hearing Aruna always praising her father was possible. The boy can't lie.

Sunday morning

Linda has arrived at her parents' house. It felt like he was not excited to enter because there was no Aruna who welcomed his arrival as usual.

Bu Yanto was in the garden picking vegetables. Then Linda approached the mother who did not know her arrival.

"Aruna hasn't been delivered yet?" ask Linda to her mother.

Bu Yanto slightly flinched. "You're making me startle Lin! Not ... Erik promised to drive her this morning. But don't know why it hasn't been delivered yet."

Linda looked at the clock on her phone. "It's eight o'clock. Do I need to pick it up?"

"No, I'll wait a minute." Linda refused the advice of her mother. He's lazy to call Erik first.

"Did you believe in Mas Erik?"

"What do you mean?"

"Today Aruna talked about her father a lot, and even praised him more. Don't know why I still can't trust Mas Erik completely."

"Maybe it's because you're still holding onto her anger. He's good Lin." Bu Yanto smiled. "Now it is more polite to your father and also more talkative. It's like more adult."

"What time is Mom?" Linda started picking vegetables.

"Mother wouldn't believe it if she didn't see it with her eyes. Mother did not understand, back when she was still the daughter-in-law of the mother her attitude was like that. As he pleases, ignorant of manners, arrogant. Coming to this house is also only occasionally. More often you come alone or with Runa." Bu Yanto spoke while picking the vegetables he was going to cook.

"Now that she was no longer the daughter-in-law in this house, she came very often. Either deliver something for Aruna or for your father, for mom. There's a reason to come here. Runa, too, was happy if there was a father. Why hasn't he been like this for a long time?"

Linda listened to her mother's story.

"Mom think it's time we started trusting Erik. Throw away your curiosities. All this time Aruna he delivered home safely and did not mind. When did he want to hurt his own son?"

Everyone believes in Erik's change. Linda had no choice but to start trusting the man.

Linda looked back at the clock on her phone. "It's nine o'clock, why hasn't it been delivered yet?" linda was impatient.

"If you can't wait to meet Aruna just call Erik. Have him deliver Aruna now" suggested Bu Yanto.

Suddenly Linda's phone rang. Erik called.

Linda answered the phone immediately.

"Hello ... "

"Cin ... Aruna doesn't want me to drive home. He's still playing with Sella."

"Oh ... " That's all that came out of Linda's lips.

"I'm not feeling good to you. Can he stay here longer?" asked Erik subtly.

Linda could not answer. He had tried to go home in between his busy life for the sake of Aruna. If he does not meet his son here, then he will go home in vain. Moreover, today was his ration with Aruna. Aruna should be with him now, not with her father.

"Or maybe you'll pick her up. Who knows if he'll come home if you pick him up?!"

"All right, I'll be there." Linda hung up.

Without a second thought Linda immediately agreed to Erik's suggestion. He did not suspect anything of Erik's words. He wanted to see Aruna immediately because it had been two weeks they had not met..

If he waits until Aruna wants to go home, it might be late afternoon. And that means he can only be with Aruna for a little while because he has to go back to town tonight.

"From Aruna's father?" ask Bu Yanto.

"Yes, his father said he didn't want to go home. The tumben? Can't wait to know I'm home?!"

"His name was also Lin's children. Maybe he's taking off the same kangen that was your neighbor first, the Sella or what her name is. Almost every night he said he wanted to play at Sella's house."

"I'm going to pick up Aruna first Ma'am" Linda told her mother.
