"Do you want to embarrass me and become someone's gossip?!!"
Linda rushed in. Erik's words were like they contained magic that made him obey without daring to refute. He entered despite not knowing what his fate would be like.
"What are you going to do here?" erik asked as soon as Linda walked into the house.
"A ... I ... " Linda even lost her voice.
"What are you talking about?!"
Linda glanced at Diana who was sitting sweetly on the sofa while looking at her nails. It seemed Linda could not say what her arrival meant if there was Diana among them.
"Why? Don't like Diana here?" Erik noticed a glimpse of Linda glancing towards Diana.
Linda shook her head in fear.
"Mas ... You want us to separate. Apologize to your father and mother, after which they will forgive you and allow me to return to this house."
Erik laughed at Linda's words.
"But I don't want us to split up, you don't want us to split up either, do you?"
Erik laughed again. "Of course I want to!" erik replied quickly.
Linda could not believe hearing Erik's answer. "Mas ...?! Tell me it's not true. You don't want to be separated from me, do you?" Linda hopes there is still a little love in Erik's heart for her.
Erik brought his body closer to Linda and whispered something in Linda's ear. "Listen, I already have Diana now. He has met all my needs. So you are no longer of any use to me. Divorce whenever I'm ready!" erik whispered in Linda's ear.
"If you don't have a problem getting divorced from me then why are you hiding our marriage book? Isn't that a sign that you don't want to part with me?" Linda could not hold back her tears. He did not want this divorce. As bad as Erik is, he still loves him because Erik is the first man in his life.
"I'm not hiding it!" shangkal Erik's. "I wanted to deliver it to you immediately, but I could not. If you came to pick it up, it was a coincidence. I don't have to bother going to your house and meeting your father and mother!"
Linda's heart seemed to be sliced to hear Erik's answer. His intention to come here was to persuade Erik that he would apologize to his parents for what he had done, hoping that his household and Erik could still be saved. But Linda got the answer she didn't want.
"You want to be separated from me, don't you? Yes, I'm divorcing you right now!"
Like in a lightning strike, Erik very easily said the word divorce to him.
"Mas ... " Linda has no power to speak. He could only look at the man he loved so much with a look of despair. It had been so far his sacrifice for Erik but Erik had easily dumped him. Erik has found a woman who is able to meet all his needs so that he is no longer useful to Erik.
"Erk ... Is it still a long time? If there's still something you have to take care of, I can go and come back later." Diana shouted spoiled from her seat.
"For a moment, dear ... It's over." Erik replied to Diana's question with his message.
"This is the wedding book you want. You take care of everything yourself I don't care! Now you can get out of here and never come back!" Erik kicked Linda out. "And remember, from today on you are not my wife anymore!"
It hurts Linda's heart. But he tried hard. He wiped his tears and stepped out of Erik's house. Even outside, Linda could not go anywhere because her motorcycle was covered by Diana's car.
Linda wanted to cry as hard as she could but she held it back.
Erik and Diana were out of the house. Erik walked while holding Diana's hand, which Erik rarely did to Linda. He seemed to deliberately want to make Linda's heart hurt even more.
"Don't forget that your house keys will be replaced immediately so that strangers can't enter" Diana said as they walked past Linda as if the stranger Diana meant was Linda.
Then they both left in Diana's car. Linda could only stare at their departure in silence. All he wanted was to leave this house immediately. But when he can go his feet just don't want to step. It's hard to leave this house forever.
Linda leaned her body against the wall while looking at the house she had lived in for years. Finally she let out her cry without being able to hold it anymore.
Linda cried for a while.
Linda wiped her tears. He stood up straight and put his feet up. It's time he picked up Aruna at school.
*
Along the way back Linda kept daydreaming. Aruna even reminded his mother several times because several times also the motorcycle they rode almost nudged other vehicles.
"Mom's okay?" ask Aruna who is being piggybacked by Linda.
Linda did not answer.
"If you are tired we can stop and rest first" Aruna said again. But Linda still did not answer. It seemed like his mind was in another world.
"Mother?!!" Aruna called her mother in a louder voice. Linda flinched then pulled over and stopped the bike.
"Why Runa? You all right?" Linda panic.
"Why mother? Is mom okay? Since then Runa invited mom to talk but she was silent."
"Oh .. "that's all that came out of Linda's lips.
"Mom's okay?" Aruna repeated her question for the umpteenth time.
"No, I'm fine" Linda replied. "Let's continue the journey."
Linda finally got home. He went straight into the house and locked himself in his room. He wanted to think things through first before talking to his parents.
After dinner, Linda talked to her father and mother while Aruna was studying in her room.
"So I've taken the marriage book at Mas Erik's house. So I can take care of my divorce as soon as possible" Linda said flatly.
Mr. Yanto just nodded listening to Linda.
"If you're afraid of being alone, ask Sari to accompany you to take care of everything." Mr. Yanto was silent for a while.
"I'm sorry Mr. Lin, you were in a hurry to receive Erik's proposal and now you're the one who told you to separate from him."
Linda speechless.
"Although you already have children, for your father and Sari is still the father's little daughter. Until whenever you won't accept if anyone hurts you." Pak Yanto's voice started to hoarse.
"Mother and father raised you lovingly. So how could you possibly see that you live to suffer like that? Which parents can let their beloved child be persecuted by her own husband?"
Linda was crying when she heard her father's words. Maybe it's true, divorce is the best way for her.
