131. Cave Fire

In the meeting hall but in a different place again held a meeting to discuss the night lanterns that will soon be carried out by the Palace.

There were already countless people present fulfilling the call of Marquis Gaustark. After obtaining an important notification letter from the person they called the Great Lord, Marquis Gaustark finally gathered his comrades to discuss it.

After everyone felt they were all present, Marquis Gaustark finally opened a meeting.

"Some time ago I got a letter from the Great Lord. He told us that the night we had been waiting for would come and ordered us to begin our preparations from now on." Marquis Gaustark.

"When did the night come, sir?" Ask one of his colleagues.

"It seems to coincide with the night of the lantern. Perhaps soon His Majesty will announce the festival and will appoint one to prepare for it all. For that the Great Lord hopes that we can get a chance to take charge of that festival." Marquis Gaustark.

"Can you explain more in detail? I honestly don't understand it very well." Pinta is one of his colleagues

Marquis Gaustark nodded slowly. "His Majesty the King will carry out the festival and certainly needs someone as the person in charge of all the activities that will be carried out. The Great Lord requested that we volunteered to take care of the festival in order to make our plans easier." Marquis Gaustark.

Everyone nodded in understanding hearing Marquis Gaustark's explanation. "Good sir." Say them simultaneously.

"We also have to check the plans we have prepared beforehand. Don't forget to send a letter to the allies, tell them we're ready to execute the plan." Marquis Gaustark.

Everyone nodded slowly hearing Marquis Gaustark's words.

"It's time we get up and get rid of those people." Said Marquis Gaustark while laughing loudly.

All of his colleagues laughed at the thought that their plan would work. "We don't have to follow those stupid rules anymore. It's time we step forward and dethrone the King's descendants." Viscount Wilson said with a loud laugh.

"We will form a new kingdom of Apollonia. Besides being famous for his wealth, we'll form it as a kingdom feared by all the other kingdoms." Said one of the other nobles.

"Betul but what about the preparedness of the Eagle Knight Group?" Ask the other nobles.

"They cut off communication with us. Looks like they won't be joining us again." Answer Viscount Wilson.

"Leave it!! The explosives we need before have been delivered and stored in a safe place." Marquis Gaustark did not care.

Everyone nodded correcting Marquis Gaustark's words. Not long after, a bodyguard came in to report something.

"Now Sir." Said the bodyguard worried.

"What plane?" Marquis Gaustark asked in astonishment.

"The location of the explosive storage burned and damaged all the materials." Report the guard.

Marquis Gaustark and his companions were shocked to hear the news and they ran out towards the explosives storage location.

Alben Benito along with several other Elders and Teachers had a meeting back to discuss the matter of materials he had sent to Marquis Gaustark.

According to the information he managed to gather, the night of the full moon that their Great Lord had been waiting for would fall right on the night of the lantern.

Feeling that their retaliation had not been fully reciprocated, Alben Benito along with the Elders and the other Masters began to devise a plan to destroy all the materials they had sent before in order to avenge his heartache.

One of his Disciples divulged information related to the place where the other explosives had previously been sent by the Eagle Knight Group. Feeling that this time it was an opportunity to destroy Marquis Gaustark's grand plan, Benito devised a plan to burn the place down so that Marquis Gaustark and his comrades would feel the sense of destruction they had felt before.

After the meeting was over, Benito sent several disciples to carry out their plans beforehand. After leaving the Eagle Knight Group Residence secretly. Some of the disciples met with the bodyguard who became his partner in the designated place.

The location of fuel storage is still in the Capital but in a place that is not crowded. It was similar to a small cave and contained a lot of explosives.

After tricking some of the guard Guards of the place, several Eagle Knight Group Disciples splashed out a small fire then quickly ran out before the fire grew.

Not long after they came out, from inside the mouth of the cave came out increasingly more smoke. One by one the bodyguards came out to save themselves, there were also some bodyguards who were brought out with the help of other bodyguards.

There was a huge explosive sound coming from inside the mouth of the cave and it lasted so long that it lured people to the source of the sound. The thick black smoke added to the curiosity of people to know about what was going on.

The place that was originally very quiet and not crowded was visited by many people now became very crowded surrounded by many people who wanted to see what had happened. It was not long before Marquis Gaustark and his comrades arrived and were puzzled to see the many people who had gathered.

Before splitting the crowd, Marquis Gaustark normalized the look on his face to avoid being suspected by many and joined the crowd.

Not long after, Seint and Artem came along with other soldiers to see the location of the fire. Seint got off his horse and walked closer to the mouth of the cave which was still emitting a pitch-black smoke.

"It looks like there's an explosive inside." Said Seint while trying to inspect the outside of the cave.

"Right be Your Majesty." Artem then walked up to Seint and whispered a small whisper to him. "Master Marquis Gaustark and his comrades are here and are joining the other residents."

Seint just listened silently then pretended to look at the many people who were gathering. Marquis Gaustark and the others lowered their head to hide from Seint.

Unfortunately Seint's eyes had already caught some of the faces he knew as nobles who had high standing in the kingdom.

"It seems like other than in the residence of the Eagle Knight Group that has explosives. They keep it in this place." Say Seint quietly.

Artem nodded small. "Yes Your Majesty. But this time it wasn't our plan, and then who set this place on fire?" Artem asked confusedly.

"It looks like the Eagle Knights Group, it's possible that they want to take revenge for feeling betrayed. They also lost explosives the night of the fire. It could be that they wanted to take revenge by destroying the same weapon they had before." Obviously Seint.

Artem nodded in understanding. "Then what should we do? Are we going to arrest Lord Marquis Gaustark for hiding this?" Ask.

"No!! Let them see it first. We follow their game like a plan. We'd better check out all these places "Strictly Seint

"All right, Your Majesty." Artem answered and then walked towards the soldiers who had come with them.

"Soldier!! Explore all these places! Find something that looks suspicious and report it to us immediately. Also find the person in charge of this place!!" Artem Strictly.

"Good sir." Say all the soldiers and move to spread out to facilitate the investigation.

Seeing the Soldiers had surrounded many of those places, Marquis Gaustark and the other comrades gradually walked backwards in order to keep their whereabouts unknown. After feeling safe, they finally walked away from the place after taking care of the bodyguards that were guarding around the cave.

Seint watched everything they did in silence, just let Marquis Gaustark and Alben Benito attack each other. Losing a lot of explosives and other tools at least reduced a lot of the opposing party's strength.

If on the night of the lanterns later they were actually attacked, at least they had already reduced a lot of their strength earlier.
