143. Punishment

A few days had passed, the activity returned to normal as before the battle. King Reinal mobilized all the soldiers who were still healthy to immediately clear the rest of the battle. The ground cracked, buildings collapsed, and other chaos began to be cleaned and arranged as before.

All the traitors were stunned to hear the stern remark from King Reinal. They finally gave up and took the bowl of poison in front of him. They remembered what they had done before that they had to die as they are now.

Slowly one by one the traitors fell to the ground after drinking the poison. They died in terrible conditions, before dying they held their necks because the poison seemed to burn their throats. It was not long before Viscount Wilson fell down as the poison began to react in his body.

Marquis Gaustark clenched his hand strongly because he felt unfair with his life. The life that always makes him feel comfortable must end up drinking poison. Marquis Gaustark tightened his grip on the bowl and then drank the poison with a few sips.

It was not long before the poison reacted in Marquis Gaustark's body and he finally exhaled his last breath. After all the traitors no longer moved, the Soldiers came back and put the bodies into the cart and would be buried immediately so as not to bring the plague if left too long.

Seint and Artem rode a horse to Duke Marven's residence. After a few guards opened the gate and escorted him into the Duke Marven's residence.

As he walked into the residence, Seint saw many servants running in panic. Seeing Seint's confused look, the bodyguard stopped one of the servants.

"What's going on? Why does everyone seem to be panicking?" Ask the guards.

"His Highness the Crown Princess again fell unconscious again. We must quickly prepare some ingredients to be used by the healer as medicine." Answer the waiter.

"Then I'm sorry for getting in the way of your work." The bodyguard felt guilty.

The waiter just nodded then quickly walked away. Seint and Artem immediately walked away from the bodyguard after hearing the servant's words.
