89. Hope

After traveling for three days, finally Seint, Lilian, Artem and some of Seint's bodyguards reached their destination when the sun was directly above them

Barren, one word that Lilian fit in gave for the place. Along the way to the inn, Lilian was busy observing the surrounding area.

No wonder many residents who live in this region choose other places to be used as a place to live to see the condition of the region.

Not many people pass through their journey. That place could be said to be like an uninhabited dead city.

Not long after, they finally arrived at the inn. The condition of the place is very shabby, it looks like it has been a very long time that the place has never been treated because of their inadequate financial condition.

In front of the inn were a few people who seemed to have already known of their arrival. A few middle-aged men walked up to them after everything had descended from their respective horses.

"Our respect Your Highness the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess." Respect them simultaneously.

"M." mm." Mumbled Seint.

"Include my name Asadel, the trusted servant to lead this region. Earlier I apologized Your Majesty for welcoming you in this way." Said while looking down.

"It's okay ... It's been more than enough." Answer Seint flat.

"Please enter Your Majesty ... We have prepared lunch but once again I apologize for only a simple menu we can prepare." Obviously Mr. Asadel.

"It's okay." Said Seint then grasping Lilian's hand to walk along.

The inn looks shabby outside but is very comfortable when they enter it. Although there are no conspicuous items in it but the place is very clean and tidy.

"Please Your Majesty." Said Mr. Asadel who directed Seint and the others to occupy the seats they had provided.

"We will discuss about the condition of this region after the Crown Princess rested for a while. Last night he only fell asleep for a while because we had to get here as soon as possible." Clearly Seint was long while staring at Lilian.

"All right, Your Majesty." Said Mr. Asadel.

They ended up eating the dishes provided by the people there. Although simple, Lilian could see the sincerity of the people who had welcomed her.

After resting and cleaning up, Lilian walked to where Seint and the others were gathered. There were already a lot of people present there to discuss the condition of the region.

Seint pointed to a chair beside him for Lilian to sit on. After seeing Lilian already sitting comfortably in her place, Seint gazed at Serious Lord Asadel.

"The Crown Princess has arrived, please convey the condition of this region!!" Firm Seint.

Lord Asadel nodded briefly. "The conditions in our region are getting worse and worse, Your Majesty. Most of the inhabitants of this region choose to leave this place and look for another place for them to live. As the leader of this region I feel like I failed because I cannot give my best to the residents here" he explained with a sad face.

"How many people are left to stay?" Ask Seint.

"Thirty percent of His Majesty's hundred percent. About two hundred people including a child." Report Mr. Asadel.

Seint nodded briefly. "Where did you get your groceries all this time?" This time Lilian asked.

"We get food from outside. We have to pay double the price because the area is too far from the capital." Answer Mr. Asadel.

"You have to pay twice as much for groceries, then where can you earn if this place you can't manage?" Lilian asked curiously.

Lilian stared softly at the residents of the area. "Don't you have any thoughts of leaving this place?"

Lord Asadel looked down languidly. "We've lived here a long time, Your Majesty. This place is part of our lives, it's not easy for us to leave this place." The answer.

"Previous what efforts have you made?" Ask Seint flatly.

"We have planted seedlings dozens of times and hope to grow, but our hope is always not realized. We've been doing soil treatment and planting different seedlings but still the results have failed." Obviously Mr. Asadel is sad.

"Can't you do anything other than farming? You can try to do other work such as making tools of war or so on." Lillian Bargain.

Lord Asadel looked down languidly. "We have tried Your Majesty, but because our distance is too far, the materials that come have a high price. Our products will be sold at expensive prices while other places sell them at low prices. People would prefer cheap if the materials were the same." The answer.

"What about the water source here?" Ask Seint.

"We have abundant water resources, Your Majesty. For some reason all the efforts we have done have always failed, maybe the land here is not suitable for us to cultivate. There are so many creeks in this region even though the water feels weird." Obviously Mr. Asadel.

"Weird why?" Ask Lilian.

"The water flowing in all the creeks was warm even in the early hours of the morning." Obviously Mr. Asadel.

Lilian looked at Lord Asdel seriously. "Did the people here use that water for drinking and so on?" Ask.

Mr. Asadel shook his head slowly. "No, Your Honor, we're consuming water elsewhere. In the area near here there is a waterfall whose water is so fresh. Because the water was fresher we decided to consume it." Clearly again.

"Nobody ever investigated the river water?" Ask Seint.

Lord Asadel nodded quickly. "It is His Majesty. We used that water to water our plants, so experts came to check it out but experts didn't find any strangeness in that water." The answer.

Lilian nodded slowly. "There's a volcano near here?" Ask Lilian.

"There's Your Majesty. The tributary was formed due to the lava leftover from the volcano." Answer Mr. Asadel.

Lilian rounded her eyes perfectly hearing Mr. Asadel's reply. "That's the answer!" Screeched Lilian hard.

"What's wrong? Do you know anything? Ask Seint curiously.

Lilian nodded enthusiastically. "If my guess is correct then this place will be one of the greatest sources of income for our kingdom." Lilian replied with a serious look.

Everyone stared in disbelief at Lilian. So far there have been a lot of people researching the place, but no one has been able to conclude anything. Lilian had not been there for a day yet but the girl had immediately deduced something big.

"Your Majesty is sure?" Ask Mr. Asadel in doubt.

"I'm not sure yet!" The words of Lillian that made everyone come back lethargic. "I'm not sure yet because I only heard stories from you. To convince me then take me to that place!!" Lilian said enthusiastically.

Everyone looked back at Lilian with a look of hope. The residents had little hope of hearing Lilian's words. All this time they had never heard the slightest bit of hope from experts. So that they do not want to be too hopeful with Lilian's words.

Lilian displays all the ingredients she needs to ensure something she deduces. After all the ingredients were available, Seint ordered everyone to go to the place they were telling them about.
