Green Hill

After saying goodbye to Aunt Jane, we left. This time it was Alex driving the car. Me, Sienna and Mandy sat together in the back seat.

Skipping a two-hour trip in jest makes the trip feel good. It didn't feel like we were arriving. After Alex parked the car in the parking lot we all went down. The cool air immediately stings the skin once it is out of the car. Good thing my clothes are warm enough because I can't stand the cold.

We walked to the stairs. Then stop looking ahead for a moment. There may be hundreds of stairs that must be climbed to get to the top.

"Prepare to feel sore tomorrow!" said Mandy who first climbed the stairs. 

Then Justin followed.

"Who is afraid" said Justin lightly.

Sienna started following Justin. Only then were Alex and I in the back.

Not even half the stairs I climbed was exhausted. I decided to stop for a second. Mandy was already quite far ahead, walking alone with the guidebook in her hands. While in front of Justin and Sienna is still so excited. I try to regulate the breathing that is starting to get overwhelmed. Alex came up from behind. He just kept walking behind me.

"You tired? Drink first!" he said while giving me a bottle of mineral water.

I received it and opened the bottle cap that was still sealed, immediately drank it.

"Trims," I said and returned the drink.

"Together," replied Alex.

"We can stop for a while if you're still tired" he continued.

"No, I'm strong enough!" I said and continued the journey.

Alex followed. But now he walks beside me.

"Have you been here?" ask Alex.

"Yet. This is the first time" I replied.

"The same with Mandy then. Justin and I were here a year ago. Nothing has changed. The atmosphere is still the same" Alex explained.

"Oh .. That's why Mandy's taking guidebooks everywhere?!" I muttered.

Alex smiles.

"Maybe or may be a habit. Because he likes to separate himself from the group. He prefers to explore alone" Alex said.

"That's so he doesn't get lost" I added.

"Yes" said Alex.

For a moment we were silent. Each one walked up a few stairs.

"I'm sorry, I didn't answer your phone. I'm asleep" I said later.

"It's okay. My fault called you too late" Alex replied.

"What did you do that night so you haven't slept?" ask pleasantries.

"Thinking you!" answer Alex. 

An unexpected answer.

"Why think of me? No other work, huh?!" ketus.

Alex smiled at the smile.

"Let's know, my heart wants to think of you. Can't it? Or have you found someone you like?" tanyanya seriously.

I was silent not knowing what to answer. If you've talked the feeling of the atmosphere so bad this way.

"Have not thought about it. Come on, we've reached the middle of the peak!" said Alex.

In the middle of the peak means there is still half way to the top of the hill. But here there is a resting place, a food store and souvenirs. Mandy was sitting resting in one of the food stalls. Justin and Sienna joined him. Alex and I approached them. But the table in this tavern was so small that Alex and I sat separately at another table.

"You must not have eaten? I'll order something, yeah!" alex said attentively.

"No need. I have breakfast!" reject me.

But Alex insisted on ordering food for me.

"Your breakfast is very little. It's lunch time anyway. I'm afraid you're not strong up. You just wait a minute, I'll be right back, '" he said and passed by entering the tavern.

Not long after that he returned with two bowls of warm tofu soup. He put a bowl in front of me.

" Come, get eaten!" tell it.

"Trims." I said while smiling at him.

I also started enjoying the warm tofu soup. With this cold air, a bowl of warm tofu soup is quite able to reduce the cold in the body.

"Ec ... It feels the same as a year ago!" alex said so much to enjoy the soup.

"Year soup? Or atmosphere?" manyu tease.

Alex looked at me with a smile. He said, "it could be both" and then continued to eat.

I-i understand. Right or wrong this is my assumption.

"Ec ... It's not right to say girlfriend. Because at that time I had not dated him, still harboring feelings of like," he replied so honestly.

"Oh," I murmured.

I'm not interested in asking more. But I'm curious about the story as well. So decided to ask again.

"Then, what are your feelings conveyed?"

"Yes. I expressed my feelings a week later. We were dating but unfortunately our relationship only lasted two months" replied Alex.

"Quick that? What's going on?" I'm so sorry about Alex's love story.

"different opinions. We don't fit. Our nature is opposite, yes equally stubborn and difficult to give up" replied Alex.

"Oh ... Maybe he's not your soul mate!" I said.

"Yes. May you be my soul mate!" alex said slowly.

"What?" I asked because I didn't hear clearly.

"Ah, it's nothing! You done eating? Prepare your energy, we'll be on our way!" said Alex shifting the topic.

"I'm full. Looks like our friend at the table next door is about to go up again!" I said as soon as I saw my three friends starting to rise from their seats.

"Let them go first. We can catch up later. You just take a break!" alex's proposal.

"But I'm not tired anymore. My feet are strong. Come on!" take me forcibly.

"Okay, okay! But if you're tired tell me, I'll carry you!" alex's message was punctuated by laughter.

"No way!" reject me raw. Alex laughed louder.

The journey resumed. What an exhausting journey. I stopped taking a few breaks a few times. With Alex always beside me. Many times he offered to carry me even though it was a joke. But I still refuse.

Imagine climbing hundreds of stairs is not an easy thing to do especially for the first time. But once arrived at the top of the hill, all the fatigue is paid for by the scenery is so amazingly beautiful. I understand why this place is called Green Hill. Because the view of the green hills that are really beautiful spoil the eyes. All the fatigue was gone.

Many visitors made it to the top. They seem reluctant to go down. As in the middle of the peak, here also provided food vendors and resting places. But so neat and clean. I saw an empty chair near the fence and I immediately sat there. I haven't found Mandy, Justin or Sienna here. Maybe they're resting in one of the taverns. Alex sat down next to me and gave me a bottle of mineral water. I accepted it and said, 'trims'. Again new mineral water that is still sealed. And I finished the drink until I had half a bottle left. I'll give it back to Alex. In front of me unabashedly Alex finished the rest of my drink earlier without distancing his mouth from the lip of the bottle. I was stunned to see it.

"Are you tired?" ask Alex.

"No. That tiredness has paid off with the beautiful scenery here," I replied.

"You likey? Good though. Our long journey has not been in vain" Alex said happily.

"By the way, I didn't see Mandy and the others. Where are they going, huh?" I asked Alex. Maybe he knows.

"Maybe they went to one of the shops. You want to eat again? We can go to the grocery store there," asked Alex, pointing at the tavern he was referring to.

"No, I'm still full" I refused.

"OK," said Alex.

"Riza, what kind of flowers do you like? If I may know," he asked later.

"Tulip," I answered briefly.

"Why Tulip? Most women love Roses" Alex asked.

"Because Tulips are the symbol of perfect love" I replied.

"Oh, so. I just found out! But I prefer Edelweis" Alex commented.

"Why?" I asked back.

"Because Edelweis symbolizes eternity and true love" Alex replied steadily.

"Edelweiss is rare. Don't you pick it up again!" I said with a smile.

"Yes, therefore I dare not pluck it. I want to present it to you!" alex was disappointed.

"Where did you see the flower? Don't they just grow in the mountains?!" I said.

"There are some down there" Alex replied, pointing to where the flowers had grown.

I followed his finger pointing. Yes, there are some that are blooming.

"I think he only grew up in the mountains" I murmured. Alex nodded.

Suddenly Mandy, Justin and Sienna appeared in front of us.

"Hey, you guys are so cool! Are we interrupting?" Justin said in a mocking tone.

"Of course not. Where the hell have you guys been? Now just showed up!" ask me while shifting the position of sitting more docked to Alex. So that these three friends can sit together.

"We've eaten. Uh ... The food here is delicious. The cold air kept my stomach hungry" Justin replied in his signature style.

"Basic, the diner!" tease me. And the others laughed at him.

Everyone seems happy. I could also feel an aura of excitement from Alex clinging to my side. His face was more cheerful than before. There was no tired hue from their faces. Everyone seems happy.

This is the day we spent at the top of this beautiful Green Hill. With laughter with cousins and new friends. The burden on the heart also decreases slightly.
