The journey continued, we went outside from the plaza. Mr. Mark took me somewhere. A cathedral in the center of St. Barbara.
"This St Cathedral. Barbara. The first building in St. Barbara before the shop house and plaza there. Unfortunately, for the public it is not open every day. So, we can only see the outside" explained Mr. Mark with passion.
"That's so lovely!" I said I admired the beauty of the cathedral even if only from the outside.
Looking at the clock tower in the cathedral that almost pointed at 12 p.m., Mr. Mark immediately brought me back.
"Lunch time is almost here. Come on, we're back, Riza!"
"Yes!"
We arrived at the place. In front of the van is Mandy waiting while reading a book. Mandy immediately gave her sweet smile as soon as she saw us.
"Have you got what you're looking for, Riza?" ask Mandy.
"I hope so," I replied, pointing out the book I just bought.
"Oh ... Good luck!" mandy.
"Trims," I said.
"The others haven't come?" ask Mr. Mark's.
"Maybe in a moment" Mandy replied.
Sienna and Justin were soon followed by Alex and Vanessa. Then complete the group. Mr. Mark told us to get into the van and we started heading to a restaurant for lunch.
The choice this afternoon falls on an open-air restaurant not far from Corola Beach. Not far from St. Barbara.
We went down for lunch. A table that was only available for four people separated us into two groups. Me, Mr. Mark, Mandy and Alex at the first table. Then Justin, Sienna, and Vanessa at the table next to him. We didn't want to waste our time ordering food and eating it. Because Alex proposed to go to Corola Beach after this. Everyone agrees too. After lunch we headed straight there.
Beach visitors are quite crowded this afternoon. Most are tourists. We started to split up everywhere. After Mr. Mark told me to get back together before 6 p.m.
I started walking down the beach. Alex followed later.
"Hi, Eriza!" greet Alex.
"Hi!" my reply.
He seemed excited and nervous. He was silent about something he seemed to have a hard time saying.
"Eriza," he called.
"Yes. Why?" my many.
"Ec ... Tomorrow afternoon ... we'll all be home .. leave New Angeles I mean, go back to Jackville," he said intermittently.
"Then?" I asked while looking at him who was getting nervous.
"Yes ... I hope we'll still call each other next" Alex replied.
"Don't you keep my phone number?" my word.
"Yes, I still keep it. You don't mind if I call you one day? Or did I visit you in Losta?" ask Alex expectantly.
"Yes, please! As long as it doesn't interfere with my rest" I replied.
Alex grinned.
"No. I will definitely choose the right time" he said.
From a distance Vanessa comes and approaches Alex. With a quick and frenetic talk try to grab Alex's attention. And forced him to go with her. Alex refused.
I also don't want to linger in Alex's way of going with Vanessa. I chose to leave them alone.
"Sorry, I'll go first, yeah!" I said in passing.
"Eh .. uh ... Eriza, where are you going?" call Alex to try and hold me.
"Leave it. Let's go over there!" vanessa said while pulling Alex.
I walk towards the hut. In one of the huts saw Mr. Mark is sitting down and relaxing. I decided to go there. Without asking, he sat down next to her.
"Want a drink?" bargained for.
"No. Thanks," reply.
"You don't like the beach, do you?" tanyanya guess.
"I love the beach. Why do you ask that?" I answered while asking back.
"I think you don't like the beach because you don't go down to play water, or make things with sand. Even sitting around in this hut with an old man. Hahaha .." replied Mr. Mark laughed..
"Then you don't like the beach" it's my turn to say.
Mr. Mark laughed softly.
"Oh ... Oya, your entourage will be home tomorrow. Does that end your job here?" my many.
"It can be said that. I gotta get them back to Jackville. Then look for other tourists who will be on vacation. I work alone without the intermediary of a travel agent" explained Mr. Mark's.
"Don't it bother so much?" ask again.
"No. Easier and cheaper. We are free to go anywhere without being chased by time. You do not have to follow the procedures of the travel agent. They pay me enough for my services and I'll take them where they want to go for whatever they want" Mr. Mark explained excitedly.
"Oh, nice job. I will never be bored" I said.
"Yes. But first you must know the ins and outs of the city that will be your destination. Only then can you be their driver" replied Mr. Mark laughed while. I laughed with him.
"Oh yes, Mister. There are no public transportation that can be used from the hotel to Dixie Holly? And how long does it take?" ask me about Mr. Mark's.
"There are city buses going there, but buses only operate until 10 p.m. The travel time is obviously a little slower. If you want to hurry, take a taxi. Find a taxi that provides 24-hour service and is safe for a girl like you" replied Mr. Mark's.
"Then does Mr. have a reliable taxi acquaintance and serve 24-hour calls?" askaku with passion.
Mr. Mark thought for a moment.
"Ec ... There are. Waita minute!"
And he began to pull out his wallet looking in the small pocket of his leather wallet. Then take out a business card. He gave it to me.
"This is his business card. He's an old acquaintance of mine. He has worked for decades as a taxi driver. I'll make sure he's a trustworthy man. And serve a 24-hour call," said Mr. Mark's.
I accepted. A business card with the name 'Richard Billy' along with his phone number is clearly displayed.
"Take it! I have a lot," said Mr. Mark laughed while.
"Trims," I replied with a smile.
On the shore are Sienna and Justin. Sienna turned towards me who was probably astonished to see I was so familiar with Mr. Mark's. I waved to him. He also replied to her.
Then I left Mr. Mark's. Walking without direction on the coast. When I saw Mandy sitting under her own coconut tree. I approached him and sat down beside him. His gaze could not be separated from the thick book that he always brought everywhere.
"Am I interrupting?" my many.
"No. Relax" he replied without looking.
"What are you reading?" aska I want to know.
"The last novel of Harry Potter. I was left behind and wanted to finish it as soon as possible" Mandy replied excitedly.
I raised both my eyebrows. Does this have anything to do with her weird makeup? Like Luna Lovegood?!
"Do you like Harry Potter? Why not just watch the movie?" my many.
"You will be disappointed after reading the novel and then watching the film because there will be many scenes removed" explained Mandy.
"Oh, so. I don't know if I've even read the novel" I said.
Mandy then closed the book and looked at me strangely.
"How are you planning?" suddenly tanyanya.
"What plan?" I asked back, not understanding what he meant.
"You approached Mr. Mark's definitely not for no reason, is he!?" mandy tangent.
I fell silent while frowning.
"Have you got the information you're looking for?" ask Mandy. "About that mysterious inn," he continued.
"Oh ... Not many. He himself does not know. I bought a book about Dixie Holly in St. Barbara. I hope the book answers my curiosity" I said.
"Mc ... I think it'll be more exciting if you go in and see for yourself what's inside the inn. And prove for yourself whether a ghost or a human figure you saw at that time," Mandy commented lightly.
"Huh? I have to get into that inn? You kidding? Mr. Mark himself said that anyone who goes in there will not be able to go outside," I said unthinkable crazy idea from Mandy.
"That's just a rumor just to scare. What's wrong with proving. Aren't you very curious about that place! Well, if you have enough courage to do it," Mandy replied defiantly.
It's true that I'm curious half-dead about that old inn. Moreover, the figure that appeared disappeared suddenly in front of that window. Makes me wonder what's behind Dixie Holly. That place could not have been built and left alone. There must be another reason.
"Eriza," call Mandy to wake up my daydream.
"Eh ... Huh yeah?" my answer.
"Just be quiet. Come on, join Mr. Mark's in the cabin there. I'm thirsty, I want to buy a drink" Mandy asked.
"Yes, okay," I agree. And we went to the same cottage where Mr. Mark sat.
