Prince From Another World

Prince From Another World
Finally Meet Edgar

Almost nine in the morning. In a hurry I got out of the hotel. But I haven't seen Roger's cab parked out front. I patiently waited.

Not long ago the taxi that I had memorized the license plate number appeared. I jumped straight into the front seat.

"Good morning, Riza!" greet Roger warmly.

"Morning, Roger!" my reply.

"Sorry to keep you waiting a little bit! The road is a little jammed!" roger explained.

"It's okay, Roger! How long does it take to get to Montana?" my many.

"About two and a half hours! Mediterania Residence is on the offshore edge," replied Roger.

"Is there a beach there?" my many.

"Yes. The room was directly facing the sea!" answer Roger.

"If I may know what business you're in there for?" ask Roger next.

"I just got the information that my friend was staying there!" my answer.

"Oh. Your friend is definitely not an ordinary person!" roger was very sure.

"Why do you think that?" ask me.

"Yes, as far as I know it's a fancy apartment. The average occupant comes from the upper class and socialites," replied Roger.

"Oh," I muttered.

Unfortunately this morning's trip was a little hampered due to traffic jams. As a result, travel time is longer than it should be.

Entering Montana already seen the beach on the edge of the highway. Fortunately the road in Montana was deserted so Roger drove fast in his car. By the time we got to the Mediterania Residence the hour had already pointed to one and a half noon.

We entered the apartment building. At the reception desk was a beautiful young lady in purple uniform who was smilingly welcoming us. Roger immediately approached the woman and said politely,

"Sorry Miss, we're here looking for a friend named ...."

"Edgar Juan Henley" I continued Roger's gesture.

The young lady smiled as she said.

"Wait a minute!"

He was busy behind his computer screen. He came back quickly.

"Mister Henley's room is on the 2nd floor!" the receptionist said kindly.

"Thank you, Miss!" said Roger. We were just about to get there. The receptionist immediately prevented.

"Young master, Miss, wait a minute! I'm sorry, did you guys make an appointment earlier?" ask the receptionist.

"No" I answered.

"Then I apologize! I can't let you two in if you don't have an appointment. That's the rule here! Foreigners are not allowed to enter the apartment carelessly" explained the receptionist.

"It's okay. We understand!" my answer.

Roger thought of an idea. He asked for a piece of paper and a pen at the reception. Then he told me to write my phone number and my name there. After that it is put in an envelope that is available next to the table. Roger handed the envelope to the receptionist.

" I'm sorry Miss, you can please pass this letter to Mr. Henley, can't you?" pinta Roger's.

"Sure, Sir! I will tell you!" said the receptionist.

" Thank you!" said Roger.

Roger and I left the apartment. We went back to the hotel where I was staying.

...****************...

Like the usual nights I go to see Wallace. I told him about the thing I went through this afternoon. Thank you all for helping me. But unlike any other night, Wallace is more silent tonight. It was as if he was thinking of something. He wouldn't even tell me when I asked. He just said 'I'm fine!' and 'it's okay'.

But clearly on his face was a worry. I thought maybe he had a personal problem so I didn't want to bother him. So I left her sooner to give her some time alone.

I went back to the hotel earlier than usual. My phone was left behind when I left. As soon as I took it off the table it was dead. It looks like the battery runs out, then I immediately charge it without me turning it on again. I immediately decided to go to sleep.

...****************...

After the morning shower, the body feels fresher. I grabbed my phone and I'll turn it on. Messages also go in a row once the phone is on. There are dozens or even dozens. And all from the same number, unknown number. One by one, I open and read. I just found out this is a message from Edgar. I almost forgot that I left my number at the receptionist. No need to read through Edgar's message, I immediately replied to him. Everything will be discussed when we meet.

......................

I walked to a street cafe not far from the hotel. From one of the tables saw a young man waving his hand at me. There he is Edgar. I approached him quickly.

"You're finally coming! How are you, Riza? I'm surprised you're in New Angeles!" edgar said he couldn't believe it.

Long time no see Edgar, he looked a bit skinny.

"No need to talk. What are you doing here?" I attacked immediately.

"Don't I explain it through the message I sent yesterday?" said Edgar.

I rolled my eyeballs.

"Where could I read them one by one that much?! Now explain what you're doing here? Why did you run away from Losta? And your number never got active?" my many.

"Sorry, my phone was stolen on arrival at the airport. I didn't run, Riza! Because there's something I have to do here. I have to finish it!" answer Edgar.

"Yes, I know! So, what did you tell Wallace? And is it considered finished?" I said ketus.

"Wallace?! Geez, Eriza .... You still think about that matter as well!? It has nothing to do with Wallace. Even a little bit I didn't think about it. I don't think you're angry with me about that!" said Edgar.

"If it wasn't for Wallace. What are you here for?" my many.

"This is about my brother, Ginnevra. Suddenly he was unconscious. According to the grandmother who took care of us first, Ginnevra was struck by a curse that left her suspended. If the curse isn't lifted, Ginnevra won't wake up maybe forever. And the way to save him is I have to find the Crystal Orlov that he says is in town. But until now I haven't found anything here" explained Edgar with a sad face.

"Then I apologize. I've been so bad thinking about you. Instead I'll help you find that thing, "I promise I'm not feeling well.

"thank you. And you, what are you really doing here, Riza? Isn't this not the holiday season? What about your college?" asked Edgar in surprise.

Edgar was even grinning.

"You think I would do that? I couldn't have left college just for such a trivial thing. Riza, you better go home. You still have to go to college. I can find the thing myself. This is my problem anyway!" said Edgar.

"No, no. I told you I'd help you. Besides, I'm so bad for accusing you of being a no-no! Consider it to make amends. Otherwise I'll continue to feel bad.

"What about your college?" ask Edgar.

"I can catch up with him next year. It's approaching year-end holidays anyway. Who wants to spend time with a book in the room while Santa dances outside?!" I said with a joke.

"Yes, too, it's true. But if it doesn't burden you and make your house anxious, it doesn't matter to me" Edgar finally said.

"Of course not. I got full permission from them!" I said steady.

"Goodoo. Where are you staying?" ask Edgar.

"A hotel not far from here!" my answer.

"Why do you choose to live in an apartment rather than a hotel? I've been looking for you all over the city's hotels" I asked later.

"Oh yeah?! I don't know when I'll stay in this town. Instead of staying at a hotel with an expensive overnight fee, you may be more efficient in choosing an apartment. How did you find my apartment?" ask Edgar curiously.

"Wallace told me!" my answer.

"Oh," muttered Edgar. His face changed a little.

"You still meet often?" ask carefully.

"I only see him every night! Because in the morning he has to work!" kalem answered.

"Hm" muttered Edgar. He didn't ask about Wallace anymore.

"How long have you been here?" tanyakanya.

"Maybe a week or so," I thought.

"How much did you pay for the hotel?" ask Edgar.

I was stunned, I didn't even think about it. I was worried about the amount of bills I would have to pay later.

Edgar laughed at my stupid face.

"I want to go to the library downtown. Do you want to come?" edgar asked, breaking my mind.

"Can. I'm coming!" quickly answer.

We immediately moved from the cafe. I followed Edgar who was walking towards the parking lot. And stop at a mini sedan with a dull color. Edgar opened the door for me and we went in.

"You rented a car too?" ask me while paying attention to the interior of the car that is a little old and worn.

"No. I bought it cheap. Instead of taking a taxi, this old car saves enough transportation costs" Edgar answered proudly.

"Save? But you live in a luxury apartment that must be very expensive!" my word.

"I like the quiet atmosphere. The air is still clean and not noisy. The view is beautiful too. A little expensive is okay, at least for other things can be more frugal," said Edgar.

That's how we spend our travel time talking about unimportant things. We arrived at a large public library.

Inside it was full of bookshelves that towered high. With all around him there are only books.

Edgar went straight to the history bookshelf. There are many history books in the world. But he didn't seem to find what he was looking for. Then he moved on to another bookcase. This time the shelf with books in a certain field, while watching the small board plastered on the shelf, he stopped on a shelf, Gemology. Remembering what he was looking for was some kind of crystal.

He looked at each book title. Then pulled one of the thick books. Flipping through the pages and reading them at a glance. He brought back the book. And move on to the titles of other books. While I was busy looking at the history books. What I'm looking for is a history of New Angeles. I think this city is not only beautiful but also holds many mysteries, especially in Dixie Holly.

I found the book I was looking for. "The Early History of New Angeles" this thick book that seems to have been in front of me for a long time. I took her to a place reserved exclusively for reading. Then I open the page of each page and read it. Suddenly Edgar came and sat down beside me. With a book he brought.

"What book did you bring?" ask her.

"I just found out this is what Crystal Orlov looks like" Edgar said, showing a picture of Crystal Orlov being worn by a queen.

"Isn't that a necklace?" my many.

"Yes" answered Edgar.

"Where can we find the necklace?" ask again.

"Eitherway. No evidence at all. Here it is only explained that this necklace originally belonged to King Dixie who then he presented to his wife, Queen Maera. When the queen gave birth to her first son. When the Kingdom of Dixie fell, King Edmund Darkoven managed to get the necklace. But not long after he had the necklace, the king died mysteriously followed by the loss of the necklace. Until now many people have tried to find the necklace but no one has managed to find it" said Edgar quoting a reading in the book.

"That's weird. This will be hard to find!" I said.

"Yes. There's not even a bright spot where to start. It's really confusing. What should I do to help Ginnevra?" edgar said in despair.

"Calm down! There must be a way out!" comfort me while rubbing Edgar's shoulder.

"Didn't grandma tell you where to look?" tanyaku later.

"He just said in New Angeles. In every corner of the palace! Where is the corner of the palace? Is there a palace here?" answer Edgar.

"I've heard before that the Kingdom of Dixie is in this city. But exactly where it is is is uncertain. My cab driver said that Dixie Holly could be that royal territory. But I'm still not sure. Can I borrow this book to take home?" I asked while showing the book I was reading.

"Of course you can. You can borrow it to the supervisor there!" answer Edgar.

"Well, I'll borrow this to read later. Where are you planning to go again? Or are we gonna be looking for a book here all day?" my many.

"No, I'm done. I want to go back to the apartment. You wanna come along? Or do you want to go back to the hotel?" edgar answered and asked.

"Hm, I'll come along. I want to see what your room is like. I was curious about the apartment that said it was directly facing the sea!" my answer.

"OKAY. Let's go!" take Edgar.

We left after I finished borrowing the book from the library supervisor.
