Little Secret of Ginnevra

Very early in the morning Sienna came into my room. Slowly rubbing my forehead with his hands. I'mawakened.

"Hi, morning! I'm surprising you, aren't I? How do you feel better?" ask Sienna cared.

I'm nodding.

"Yes. It's been a little bit quiet. Just still a little dizzy."

"Then you rest! I'll make a permit request to the lecturer. Oh yeah, I brought you some porridge too. Mom made it. You eat it while it's still warm!" said Sienna.

"Yes. Thanks." I said.

"If you still feel bad after college, I'll accompany you to the doctor!" said Sienna. But I quickly refused.

"no need. It's been better. After breakfast I will take medicine again and rest. After that I will be healthy again!"

"You sure?" ask Sienna.

"Yes. Did auntie leave for work?" ask me to shift the topic.

"Just start getting ready. Are you okay with leaving me alone?" ask Sienna who refused to leave.

"It's okay. Don't fret. You go! It will be too late" I replied.

"Well, if there's anything call me right away, yeah! I'll be home soon today!" sienna's Message.

"Yes" I said.

"Then I go to college. Bye, Riza! Soon eaten the porridge," said Sienna.

"Yes. Be careful on the road, Sienna," I said.

Sienna came out of my room. From my room I could hear the door closing and the footsteps leaving the house. After that the atmosphere became quiet. I got up to finish the porridge Sienna brought me. After that, I took the medicine and went back to my bed to rest.

This morning Sienna was quite agitated leaving the sick Eriza at home alone. So that once the lecture was completed he immediately left the campus quickly. Suzan also went with him to visit Eriza. But just getting to the campus gate, Russel came on his bike chasing them.

"Hi, guys in such a hurry?! By the way, Sienna where's your cousin?" russell asked who was surprised because usually they were always three.

"Eriza is not in today. He's sick! Therefore I must go home immediately because he is alone at home" replied Sienna.

"really? Then I'll go see him. May it?" russell asked for Sienna's approval.

"Of course you can!" answer Sienna.

"Then Sienna let me drive you home first while Suzan waits here. After that I'll come back to pick up Suzan, how? Wouldn't it be faster?" Russell proposed because he was the only one riding a motorcycle.

"Your father is good too! Then Sienna you first. I'll wait here!" suzan agreed.

"alright. Comeing! I'm first, Suzan!" pamit Sienna that goes straight up to Russell's motorbike.

"Bye!" reply Suzan while standing in front of the gate waiting for Russell's turn to come.

At the Edgar mansion. Nancy's arrival was greeted with a warm hug from Edgar. A few years have passed, my grandmother has not changed. Although the age is getting twilight, but the face still looks young and charming. After greeting her and talking for a while, Nancy and Edgar then went to Ginnevra's room.

Nancy sat next to Ginnevra's bed while gently caressing the sleeping girl's face.

"How long has he been asleep?" ask Nancy.

"Two days, Grandma!" answer Edgar.

Nancy then grabbed the hand of Ginnevra. He was shocked when he felt the cold palms of Ginnevra. But he didn't show that surprise on his face.

"I called the doctor yesterday, but the doctor said he was just exhausted and needed rest. In fact, until now, my sister is not awake either. Do you know what happened to my sister?" ask the desperate Edgar.

Nancy sighed. With a sad face he put back Ginnevra's hand. Then they came out of Ginnevra's room. Nancy sat languidly in the living room with Edgar in front of her. Something was stirring in his heart.

"Grandma, what's wrong? Tell me what happened to brother!" edgar Pinta. He knew there must be something wrong seeing Nancy's expression like that.

"Edgar, there are things you never know. And we never thought before!" Nancy fell silent.

"I mean grandma?" ask Edgar not to understand.

Nancy smiled and began to tell stories.

"For 20 years I've been babysitting you both. I know for sure your nature. Say I am the one who knows you best. You and Ginnevra have opposite traits. You are happy to be friends, cheerful, and easily familiar with anyone. While Ginnevra is more closed and happy to be alone. But it's not without reason."

Edgar listened intently to Nancy's every story. Nancy recalls while continuing her story.

"When Ginnevra was six years old he had other senses that allowed him to see creatures from another world. Since then I have often heard him talking to himself, sometimes laughing to himself. I guess he played with his toys, apparently when I noticed it wasn't. He's not playing. He sat alone while talking to himself."

"I asked him who he was talking to. He said he was talking to his friend, but I didn't see anyone there. One day Ginnevra told me he had been visited by many friends. They all wanted to be friends with him, but some of them had such a bad look that it made Ginnevra afraid. He hid once such a bad friend visited him. Until when he met another friend whom he always called the prince. The prince always accompanied her everywhere and played with her. He also said that since becoming friends with his ugly friend prince, he never bothered him again. And again I thought it was just a child's imagination. But I was shocked when I saw Ginnevra playing with his toy tea furniture. The tea glass can move and shift on its own. I'm just starting to believe the story."

"Nothing has changed. It continues until he grows up. He was only friends with the creature he called the prince. Outside he had no friends. The time was up just to learn the piano and stay in the room. That's why he then stopped going to school and your parents chose home schooling for him" Nancy replied.

"What about mom and dad? Did they never ban him or advise him? Or maybe take her to a psychiatrist?" ask Edgar.

"Since the past, girls born to the Henley family have been very difficult to survive. They won't live long. You previously had two brothers named Kimmy and Rebekah. They are only different for a year. But unfortunately Kimmy died at the age of nine and Rebekah died a year later. That's why the ladies and gentlemen pamper the Ginnevra so much. They never refused anything your sister wanted even if it sounded weird sometimes" Nancy explained.

"What's wrong with the Henley girls? I also never knew that I had a sister other than Ginnevra. Mama never talked about it," Edgar asked curiously.

"The lady doesn't want to remember. That's why he kept it a secret from you. But I think it's some kind of curse!" I replied Nancy in a soft voice.

"Curse? Grandma don't joke! In modern times, is there still some kind of curse?" said Edgar.

"I just assumed I had the fact that girls are hard to survive in this family! Ginnevra is the only surviving daughter in the Henley family" Nancy said flatly.

"Then, how should we help brother? Grandma, I want you to be healthy again. Please, heal him! Whatever way!" pinta Edgar riled up.

"I'm not a doctor how can I help her?" Nancy asked back.

"At least what can we do to save her?!" edgar said he was not calm.

Nancy was silent while thinking. Then he muttered with a smile on his lips.

"Crystal Orlov."

"What?" edgar asked because he did not hear Nancy's murmur.

"Crystal Orlov, a crystal stone that has magical powers. It used to belong to a queen from the kingdom of Dixie. After the queen died the necklace disappeared and no one ever found it" Nancy explained.

"Then what's the crystal for?" ask Edgar who does not understand.

"Crystal is no ordinary crystal. The crystal can ward off curses, cure diseases, protect and even give longevity to its owner. And you have to find that Crystal to wake up Ginnevra! You know Ginnevra wasn't just a regular sleeper, he was a suspended animation!" nancy said with a fearful tone.

"But ... Where should I find that Crystal?" ask Edgar to panic.

"You have to go to New Angeles tonight! Dixie Palace is in town. You must search for it in every corner of the palace!" nancy clear.

"New Angeles? Dixie Palace? Ah, is this all a fairy tale?! I've never even been there!" grouse Edgar.

"Don't waste time, Edgar! You should leave immediately!" insist Nancy.

"Alright, Grandma! I'll get ready! Please, take care of Ginnevra while I'm gone! And if you can keep him away from his friend the prince!" pinta Edgar was anxious even though she wasn't sure if Nancy could see Wallace or not.

"of course! It's my job, Edgar!" nancy said with a smile.

And that night Edgar flew straight to New Angeles.

I was lying in my room checking my neglected phone from yesterday. After the arrival of my two friends, the room became a bit messy. I know they've been here almost all day. With the reason of swiping the sick but turned into a rumpi event. Although it was a bit noisy but I was happy, my health recovered quickly. I can get back to work tomorrow.

I read some of the messages that went into the inbox. One of them is Edgar. He called me yesterday but I fell asleep. I was confused whether or not I would return the message. But I was lazy to discuss Wallace's problem with him so I ignored it. I put the phone back on the study table. Better sleep so that tomorrow wake up more excited.

I walked side by side with Sienna entering the campus. Passing through the corridor we met Russell.

"August, Riza! Is the pain healed?" sapana.

"Yeah, thanks to you!" my answer.

"Oh, I'm glad to hear that!" russell responded and we walked hand in hand into the first class.

Nothing has changed with the atmosphere of the campus. At the cafe where we are now, it is the same. While Suzan was running around looking for something.

"What are you looking for, girl?" sienna asked worried about her behavior.

"You're aware, aren't you?! Haven't seen Edgar roam the campus in days?" replied Suzan.

I'm flabbergasted. Just know or realize.

"Then, what's the deal with you?" ask Sienna ketus.

"none. It's just weird!" replied Suzan. Then he glanced at me and brought his face closer to me. Slowly he asked.

"Did you guys fight?"

I shook my head quickly.

"Suz, what's wrong with you, anyway? Is it not uncommon for Edgar to be rarely seen on campus?! Who knew he was attending a competition somewhere else! He often represents the college for such a thing!" sienna.

"Oh, yeah! Hmm ...," murmured Suzan. The girl was no longer much of a behavior.

While I was still silent with the question at heart. Did Edgar avoid me or did he have another job to leave campus? That question is unanswered. Until a few days passed. One week passed I still did not see the figure of Edgar on campus. What the hell happened to him?
