Prince From Another World

Prince From Another World
Dixie Holly's

Thirty minutes drive we finally entered the gates of Dixie Holly. The driver drives the van to the parking lot that has been provided. Mr. Mark gave instructions to go down. After we all got down, including the driver. We gathered in front of the van to await further instructions from Mr. Mark's.

"We've entered the Dixie Holly area. We will visit the Maera Mansion. About 20 minutes on foot. Come on, follow me! One more thing, I hope you guys don't separate yourself from the group. It's good that I give you my cell phone number, if you're lost or separated, you can call me right away. Write down the number, yes!" said Mr. Mark's.

Everyone took out their phones, including Sienna and me. But, oh shit! My phone was left at the hotel. Luckily Sienna brought her phone so she could record the number. Mr. Mark started mentioning his phone number while the others were typing.

"Well if it's done, let's continue the journey" exclaimed Mr. Mark is full of passion.

He walked in front of the leading party. While giving information on the road we were going through also some buildings that we passed. Sienna and I walked in the back.

I look around me. There is a street name pointer next to the administrative office. The direction that points to the front of the road that we are entering now is Dixie Street, and the direction that points to the left is Stairway Street.

I looked left and right, mostly old buildings and buildings. Some buildings even seem haunted because of the lack of light that illuminates and paint the walls of buildings that have peeling. Outside the courtyard of the building stands a stand-stand that sells a variety of goods. Starting from accessories, clothes, eye injuries, decorations to food. The traders seem eager to wait for buyers at their booths. Not many tourists visit today.

According Mr. Mark who is unrelenting gives instructions that usually this place is crowded with tourists during the holiday season like now. But maybe because it rains all day so today it looks quieter.

As Mr. said. Mark, after twenty minutes of walking we finally arrived at an old building that was no less scary than other buildings. At the entrance was a board that read 'Mansion Maera'. The two-story building is quite large and magnificent with dull white paint. Mr. Mark invited the group to come inside. Upon entering the courtyard we passed with another group who had just left the mansion.

The page is quite broad. But the lack of lighting made it difficult for us to look inside. Some of us were carrying flashlights. After turning on the flashlight they entered into the main room. According to the story the door in this mansion is always open. But sometimes it locks on its own. Since Sienna and I did not carry a flashlight, I tried to follow where the flashlight was directed by the group. The room was very large with a dirty porcelain floor. All the decorations and furniture are still arranged in place with thick dust attached. This place is just like being abandoned.

"According to the stories of people who have been residents of this mansion before, this mansion is said to be very haunted. Many strange apparitions and events appear and disturb the inhabitants of the mansion. Hence this mansion was left just like that!" obviously Mr. Mark is slow. His voice echoed throughout the room.

It's true that the air here is not comfortable for me. I even had goosebumps when I was wearing a coat. I looked for Sienna who was beside me. But now I can't find him. Next to me now stood a blonde girl wearing a purple velvet hat and a matching coloured coat. He stood on my back while pointing his flashlight at a royal family painting. He was so sensitive that he realized someone else was standing behind him. She turned to me while throwing a smile showing off her two dimples that made her look so sweet.

"Hi!" sapana.

"Hi, too!"

"My name is Mandy Carisse. We're from the mystery society 'Blue Rose' from Oberon University, Jackville, '" said the sweet girl as she reached out.

"I'm Eriza Ravella from Losta" I replied as I shook Mandy's hand. Then I asked, "oh, so you're all members of that 'Blue Rose' society?"

"Right, except that driver. Well, you see that young man wearing that brown sweater?! His name is Alex William, he's the head of the society. The girl next to him was Vanessa Laurent, then the young man who spoke to the girl in the yellow jacket was Justin Leonard" Mandy said, pointing at her friends one by one.

That's when I saw Sienna. She's with Justin, Mandy's friend. They looked very familiar when they had just met an hour ago.

After hearing Mandy's explanation, I just understood why this trip was heading to a place that smelled of horror.

Mandy invited me to join the others before we were far behind. But I refused to venture any longer into the mansion. I couldn't stand the cold and unusual air, the air was also quite stuffy. I need clean air out in the open. It's too dusty and smelly.

"I'd better wait outside. I find it hard to breathe here. And Mandy, please tell the yellow-jacketed girl I'm waiting for her outside. She's my cousin, her name is Sienna Aeris" I told Mandy before I left.

"OK, I'll tell you," said Mandy.

"Trims!" my reply.

"You're welcome! Don't go far, yeah! I'll tell Mr. Mark about your decision!" mandy said with a smile.

I gave him a nod then left the group that was deepening into the mansion.

I felt relieved after getting out of the mansion. I stopped in front of the entrance of the mansion. Then I took a deep breath of fresh air and then I exhaled slowly. It feels so relieved.

I headed to a booth not far from the mansion to buy a glass of warm drink. There were two foreign tourists sitting there chatting. I approached the waiter at his desk and saw the menu on the table. Just a few seconds the shopkeeper had delivered my ordered drink. A glass of warm milk tea is served into a cardboard cup with a plastic cover

"Trims," I said as I offered the waiter some money.

"Take the change!" my continue.

"Thank you back!" reply the servant who left me.

I immediately shaved the milk tea. Pasting my palm on the glass made my previously cold hand warm. I sipped the milk tea again until it was almost finished before the hunt became cold. I left the shop and went for a walk.

There were only old buildings and buildings on the left-right side of the road. I think why the tourists are interested here when there is nothing interesting here. To me this place is like a bleak old town. Maybe for horror story lovers like Mandy and friends, Dixie Holly is a place they must visit. But to me Dixie Holly was too boring.

My journey finally stopped at a small shop that was right next to the gothic-style building that was a cathedral. I watched for a moment the shop named 'Dark Wolf. The store looks more lively with colorful lights on the platform. I am curious about this unique store. I decided to go inside.

There are some visitors inside. The store sells several mystery and horror genre books, horror movie discs, accessories such as necklaces and bracelets, home decorations, and Halloween toys.

I walked over to the bookshelf and looked through the collection of books that were there. Then move on to a collection of horror movie discs. Nothing interests me. I also left the shop.

Back down the wet road. The more you walk in the quieter it gets. The merchant booth was starting to be rarely seen. It turned out that I had reached the end of the road, a dead end that was blocked by a high wall. To his left was a fifth-floor building with many windows arranged over a certain distance. The building also looks old with maroon color paint peeling on some parts of the wall. I tried to read the nameplate on top of the building. Even though the lights that lit up the signboard had dimmed but I could still read the writing. 'Lucent Inn' the name of the building which is an inn.

I look around and look around. There's a small alley next to the Lucent Inn. But since there were no street lights illuminating the alley so there was no visible end of the alley ending where. While on the right side of the road behind me this is just a field with weeds that grow heavy irregularly.

I still keep watching the inn. It seemed like the inn was also uninhabited like the Maera Mansion. Some of the lights on the second and fourth floors appear to light up even though dim. The lights of a room on the third floor were flickering. Some of the windows were even broken. While the main door attached from the glass was opened a little. Surprisingly, I was curious about the inn. It was like there was some energy pulling me closer.

I looked back around, quiet, there was no one around. The air suddenly got cold. I'm back goosebumps. But it didn't dampen my courage.

With a slow step I approached the inn. Just a few steps I had been in front of the entrance of the inn. I tried to peek through the glass, but it was too dark inside to see anything. So I pushed the door a little more open. Just now I put my hand to the door suddenly someone snapped at me in a loud voice.

"DON'T GO NEAR THERE! GO!" snapped at an old man who had come out of nowhere. The flashlight in his hand was pointing at me.

I was shocked and spontaneously pulled my hand. I haven't pushed that door. That old grandpa has made me almost a hanger.

But I tried to be calm and ask him. "What's in this inn?"

"Don't ask too many questions! Now get out of here! And don't try to get close to that place!" sniffed the grandfather violently.

But I was still standing there trying to peek inside again. Seeing the stubborn me made the grandfather grow furious and return to bluffing.

"Go quickly!"

I came back in shock. "I .. yes .... I'm leaving!"

I immediately moved away from the inn and also the old geezer while grumbling inwardly.

'Basic old grandpa is weird! But, why did he forbid me from approaching the inn, huh?!'

I looked back. Grandpa is still watching over my departure. And my gaze moved to the inn. At first glance I caught the figure of a person on the third floor whose lights were flickering. It's not clear his face but from his shadow I'm sure he's a man. I immediately threw a glance back at the road ahead. And looked once again at the inn on the third floor. But that figure had vanished somewhere. Only the room lights were still flickering. I creep in horror. Who was that? Human or ghost?
