“Assalamu’alaikum, Hunny!” That gentle whisper became the rainbow's first welcome.
If it is usually the Rainbow that awakens the Cloud, this morning it is the Cloud that awakens the Rainbow from its sleep in the same way that the Rainbow awakens it.
“Wa’alaikumsalam, Hubby!” reply with a hoarse voice.
The clouds sat on the edge of the bed and stroked his wife's hair. He kissed the wife's forehead. “Daddy equals Zidan praying in mosque. We pray in the room only, yes.”
"Yes, Hubby." The small laughing cloud. The rainbow answered with its eyes still tightly closed.
The clouds came out of the room to purify themselves. A few minutes later, he returned to his room and found that Rainbow was still at home in a blanket.
"Repaint ...."
Rainbow raised hand rubbed face while small yawn. His eyes opened slowly. The first thing that came into her view was the handsome face of her husband. The sturdy body was wrapped in white cocoa clothes complete with sarongs and peci.
“Alhamdulillah.” Over and over again the word is spoken in the heart of the rainbow. Her lips curved into a thin smile when she looked at her husband was holding a prayer mat between the empty spaces in their narrow room.
“Wake, yuk! Wudhu first, darling.”
"Yes, wait a minute." The rainbow immediately rose up excitedly. It was a very good start for him. The more days, the cloud is increasingly showing positive progress.
Standing behind the Clouds as a makmum, the Rainbow felt an immeasurable peace, so it felt like it did not want this moment to pass so quickly.
...........
The morning ....
A happy smile rose perfectly on Ahmad's father's face after hearing Cloud's words asking for permission to bring the Rainbow back to their private home. So even with Mother Humairah, it is a hard thing for her to take off her favorite daughter. But as parents they can only support the decisions of their children.
Ahmad's father was even surprised by Awan's desire to return to work after three months of leave.
“Nak Awan is back to work? But what about his feet? Has it improved?” asked Ahmad's father on the sidelines for breakfast.
“Insyaa Allah, Dad. I feel much better today. Anyway said his foot doctor should be often-trained walking.”
Ahmad's father nodded still with a smile that never faded. “Yes already if it has become a decision Nak Awan, the important thing should remain careful and do not be forced.”
“Iya, Father.”
“Nak Clouds, Rainbows, later should often come to see father and mother. Mother is often lonely if there is no rainbow at home,” added Ms Humairah.
“Insyaa Allah, Bu.” The rainbow smiled at the mother. She was very heavy apart from her parents. But now the main priority is the husband.
"Why is your face pale, are you sick?" Mrs Humairah looked at the rainbow's face which looked slightly paled that morning.
"It's okay, Mom. It seems like it's just because there's more work to come." In recent days, Rainbow spent a lot of time in his boutique. Orders are plentiful, while the number of employees is limited. As a result, he had to intervene.
The answer of Rainbow did not necessarily satisfy Mother Humairah. He looked at his daughter's tired-looking face.
"Have you checked yet, son? Are you not pregnant?" ask her with a hopeful look.
The rainbow immediately lowered its head in shame, while Awan and Zidan threw glances at each other.
How to get pregnant, Mom. Dyed aja not yet. Inner Cloud.
..........
Awan's car was parked gallantly in front of the house with a driver waiting. The rainbow stared in wonder, because the car was still under repair after heavy damage due to an accident that hit the Cloud three months ago.
The car drove across the street, the clouds massaged the arms of the Rainbow to reduce the fatigue that shackled the woman's body.
"Then don't take many more orders, yeah. Look, you're tired of yourself."
"Take it as a blessing to the kids. If there are many orders, they earn more."
"Where are the orders from?"
"I don't know either. April said people from Malaysia."
The clouds twirled the eyeball lazily.
Why do I even remember the City of Korma, huh?
Annoyed whenever he remembered Thunder, Clouds subconsciously pressed his wife's arm tightly, as if squeezing the body of his rival.
"Ah, sick!" peekuk Pelangi directly rubbed his arm.
Realized, the clouds also wave. Gently rub the rainbow arm. "I'm sorry, not intentionally. Sick, huh?"
The rainbow nodded in response. Until a while later, the car stopped in front of a shopping area.
“Ashar I picked up, yes.”
“Iya, Mas. Be careful on the road.” The rainbow kissed the back of her husband's hand, before finally getting out of the car and entering a small two-story shophouse. A shophouse he rented in recent years to open his Muslim clothing boutique.
...........
The clouds greeted some of his co-workers upon arriving at the office. Like a new employee, everything is so foreign to him. There are many changes in the office, one of which is the workspace of men and women who are now separated.
"Ger, three months doesn't go into work much of a change, yeah."
"Yes, since Dirut replaced last week," replied Gery, one of his colleagues. "There's been a lot of change."
"It's okay, as long as change still leads to positivity."
"What's your leg, Wan? Already lightened?"
The clouds show a thin smile. "Alhamdulillah, you can walk without a cane. But it still often cramps when standing up."
"Good morning, everybody." The familiar voice that greeted the Clouds turned its head.
Suddenly the smile on his lips dimmed at the Middle Eastern-faced man who had just joined them. The clouds glanced at Gery, with a face full of questions.
"That's Mr. Thunder, our new boss. Just returned from abroad."
The clouds gasped, but showed no overreaction of surprise. Likewise with Thunder when he realized the existence of Clouds among some of his subordinates.
The two remained silent for a few seconds with each other staring.
