01. Tragic Accident

The sound of a happy birthday song fills the room in a magnificent house belonging to a wealthy businessman named Edward Albana.

"Happy birthday, Dad." A beautiful girl of mixed Korean-American blood gives a kiss on the cheek of the father.

"Happy birthday, Uncle."

Followed by the words of a handsome young man, the friend of the princess.

"Thank you, Eric. And you're my daughter." Edward hugged his daughter Eryn.

Edward meets Eryn when he comes to an orphanage to donate. He immediately fell for Eryn who had a sweet and beautiful smile on her tiny face. During his life Eryn never felt the affection of a family until Edward took him into his mansion.

Eldric walked over to Edward and hugged him.

"Congratulations, Father! I'm sorry I'm late" Eldric said with a wink.

"Basin' bad boy! You did this to your dad on purpose, huh!" Edward beat up Eldric.

"Again, Dad! Don't hit me!"

Eryn looked at Edward as if asking not to punish Eldric.

"Dad, I have a special gift for you." Eldric handed Edward a map.

"What's this?" Edward opened a map containing a cooperation agreement file.

"I managed to get a contract with JK Group, Dad!" exclamation Eldric.

Edward's eyes were patterning and sparkling happily.

"Really, Son? You really are a reliable kid!" Edward patted Eldric on the shoulder.

"Of course!" Eldric blinked his eyes at Eryn. A code of love that makes Eryn blush in shame.

"How did you get this, son? Isn't JK Group very difficult to approach?" asked Edward curiously.

"If it's for Dad, nothing's hard for me!" Eldric patted his chest proudly then he laughed.

Then followed by laughter from the other three people.

After the dinner, Eryn returned to his room to rest. It felt like all day he felt tired after designing a small party for his father.

Eryn's tired body was laid on his soft bed. Since entering the Albana family, Eryn the orphanage child transformed into the daughter of a rich family spoiled by Edward. Although Eryn does not like luxury, but Edward always gives the best for the girl.

"It's so tired. Tomorrow I have a morning lecture, I have to go to bed immediately," Eryn muttered then closed his eyes.

Just a moment later he fell asleep, suddenly he felt a warm embrace wrapped around his body.

"Darling..." That heavy voice belonged to Eldric.

"I missed you!" whispered Eldric.

Eryn took off Eldric's hand wrapped around his waist. He turned around and looked at the man in front of him.

"I miss you too. Howwasyourday? You must be tired of chasing contracts from JK Group."

"Yes. But I'm tired of missing when I see you."

"Ish, you!" Eryn hits Eldric's arm softly.

Without further ado Eldric immediately grabbed Eryn's thin lips. The stepsisters form a secret love affair behind Edward. But Eldric himself was already convinced of his feelings for Eryn and would find the right time to talk to his father.

In the morning, Eryn opened his eyes slowly. He saw his handsome man still faithfully closing his eyes.

"Wake up, El." Eryn rubbed the sturdy jaw gently.

The owner finally woke up and looked at his girlfriend's face.

"Morning, Senorita..." Eldric's voice sounded hoarse.

"Hmm, wakeup! Don't let me know you're here!" Eryn.

Eldric stared at Eryn inside. "I'll find time to talk to Dad. I want to marry you soon."

"Ish, you! I'm 19 years old. I'm still in college, too" Eryn refused.

"Hmm, okay. At least let's tell dad first." Eldric immediately got up and put on his shorts. He was bare-chested and said goodbye to Eryn.

"I had a meeting this morning. I'll pick you up back from college later."

In the afternoon, Eldric picked up Eryn who had finished his studies. Eryn said goodbye to his friends on the grounds that his brother had come to pick him up.

"I have something for you. Open the dashboard and grab a box" Eldric ordered.

Eryn scrunched his forehead but he kept it open. A ring box was there.

"What's this?" Eryn asked as he opened the small box.

"That's for you! Let's just say I'm proposing to you!"

"What's right?" Eryn could not hide his happiness, then he hugged Eldric who was still driving the car. He wears a diamond ring from his ring finger.

"I have something for you too!" Eryn. He took a box from his bag.

"I've been buying it for a long time. I want to give this to you after you win the project with JK Group." Eryn opened the box and put a watch on Eldric's wrist.

"It's so beautiful, baby. Thank you," said Eldric as he tried to step on the brake pedal. He plans to pull over the car because he wants to give a kiss to his girlfriend.

His face frowned in confusion when he could not stop the speed of his vehicle.

"What's up, El?" ask Eryn.

"Eitherway! The brakes don't work" Eldric said in a panic.

"What-what?!" Eryn squealed in surprise.

Eldric tried to stabilize his vehicle. While Eryn continued to hold on hoping that everything would be fine.

"Ryn, you have to jump out of the car" Eldric said.

"What's? Nah! We'll face this together!" Eryn.

"Don't argue! You need to get out of the car" Eldric ordered.

Due to continued rejection from Eryn, Eldric forced to take off Eryn's seat belt and push the girl's body out of the car. Eryn rolled in the middle of the road. Luckily no cars were passing by.

Eldric who has saved his lover, now it's his turn to jump out of the car. But unfortunately, his seat belt was stuck and he could not open.

Until finally Eldric decided to turn the steering wheel to the left towards a ravine. Eryn just froze watching Eldric's car go into the abyss.

"No!" eryn shouted after hearing a loud enough explosion from the bottom of the abyss.
