103. The Adams Family

In a big house in downtown Rio lived a distinguished and wealthy family. Known as a reliable businessman in the field of tourism, making the name of Brian Adams respected in the business world.

His wife, Sorena Adams runs a shopping mall and also owns several boutiques. Their daughter Selena is very rarely home. The girl prefers to stay in the apartment to be more free.

But his return this time because he wanted to give happy news to both parents.

"Infederation? Are you sure you're gonna marry that guy?" sergeant Sorena who from the beginning did not like Red.

"Of course, Mother. I love her so much" Selena replied firmly.

"Dad agreed with your plan. Tell him to meet Dad here."

Selena smiled broadly.

"Where's your sister? He also has to help you set up your engagement party" Brian said.

"Dad! Just leave him! I don't need any help from him! Parasites like him shouldn't be in our family!" selena shouted and left her father and mother.

"Never talk about that bastard in front of my daughter, Brian! You know Selena can never forgive you. In a lifetime you won't be able to make amends to us!" Sorena came out of the family room that should have been laughing warmly. But what happens is always a fight and a debate.

Brian massaged his temple slowly. For many years, his wife and daughter could never accept his evil deeds.

Because of her past sins, the youngest princess had to accept ridicule from her older sister and stepmother.

"My poor daughter..." Brian held onto his chest which was painful.

"Raff, where's Ilena?" asked Brian with a grimace of pain.

"Sir, are you okay? Let me walk you to the room."

Raff, the head housekeeper of the Adams family. He's been serving in this family since Brian was unmarried.

Raff lays Brian's body on the bed.

"Quickly find Ilena. Tell him to come home. He must be in an orphanage" Brian said.

"Good, Sir. Excuse me!" Raff saluted and walked out of Brian's room.

At an orphanage called Little Angel, a young girl is playing along with the children of the orphanage. They laughed together without any burden.

Only here could this girl feel the calmness. Living as a young lady does not make her happy at all. Rough remarks are always received from his brother and stepmother.

"Miss Ilena!"

A middle-aged man approached the girl.

"What's up, Raff?" ask the girl.

"Miss, Mr. Brian wants to see Miss. Please, miss, come home for a minute" said Raff.

The girl named Ilena was silent. Returning to his father's house was like living in hell.

"Mister Brian's pain is relapsing, Miss."

"Huh?! Whahuh? Dad sick?" Ilena knew that even though her life in the house was hell, her father loved her very much.

"alright. I'm going home. I'll say goodbye to the orphanage kids first."

Ilena's steps felt heavy when she started entering the house. A large and luxurious house with all the facilities available. Ever since Ilena moved into this house, there has never been any happiness in her life.

Being born to a woman who snatched people's husbands made her feel unlucky. Always scorned and degraded.

Ilena's tiny hand held her father's door knob.

"Come in! Mr. Brian is waiting for Miss." Raff never sided with anyone. He is neutral although sometimes he wants to defend Ilena in front of Selena and Sorena.

"Dad.." said Ilena.

Brian opened his eyes. He saw his sweet little daughter.

"Ilene..."

"Yes, dad. It´s me! Dad sick? Why didn't you tell me? I can take care of Dad" Ilena said sadly.

"Dad's okay, son. Don't worry!" Brian was holding his chest.

"Dad! I'll get a doctor."

"No, Son. Not necessary. I just need you here. Stay here with Dad. Even if your sister and mother don't like you, you should be able to ignore them. Yea?"

Brian's request was heavy for Ilena. However, having no choice, Ilena agrees.

Selena and Sorena enter Brian's room.

"I was expecting Dad to bring her back!" ketus Selena's.

"Easy! I don't want you guys to keep arguing" Brian lerai.

"Dad, tonight Red will come to dinner here. As well as discussing about our engagement," Selena said then passed.

But when she arrived at the doorway, Selena turned around and said, "You better help the waiter to prepare dinner. Don't forget that your position here is only a servant!"

"Away there! You didn't hear what my daughter said?" said Sorena.

Ilena looked at Brian as if asking for permission. Brian nodded.

"Then I'll excuse you, Mom..."

Ilena left Brian's room and headed for the kitchen. He didn't want to make trouble with his stepbrother.

Red is getting ready for dinner at Selena's house. Since meeting the girl, only one she wanted in life. That's marrying. Red never even thought about getting married. But once she gets information about her past girl, she is eager to make Selena hers.

"Hmm, so you're gonna propose to Selena officially?" ask Blue.

"yeah. If you're free, I want you to come, too" Red said.

"I can't believe you're going to marry that woman!" A young girl approached her two brothers.

"Yoona, you'll like Selena when you meet her" Red replied.

"I've seen it a lot in magazines and on television. That smile is fake, brother. And I don't think he really loves his sister."

"Yoona baby, yes! Brother will leave. You stay home with Blue." Red kissed the top of his little sister's head.

The 27-year-old was very excited to propose to his girl.

"Sister Rue, I'm not sure of Brother Noah's decision" said Yoona.

"Well how else? Red loves that model so much."

Yoona scowled at the passing of her sister. Because he often heard rumors that Selena had a relationship with another man behind her brother. Whether this is true or not, no one can be sure.
