18. Black Games (01)

Eryn stepped back into his office. Her tears have dried up. From this moment on, he wanted to be strong and not weak anymore in front of Black.

"He's gone crazy! He's not sane!" eryn muttered many times.

Eryn walked into his room and sat down on the sofa. He held his necklace pendant in a round shape. He opened the locket and took out a ring he had hidden there. He deliberately put the ring in a pendant that was designed specifically by him.

It was an Eldric giving ring before the accident. His heart flowered as it received the ring from Eldric. But now everything has changed and gone. The diamond-eyed ring was hidden back into the pendant when he heard the sound of the door being knocked.

Lolita came in with a cup of tea in her hand.

"You okay? Drink some tea first so you're calmer." Lolita saw a strange gurgle when Eryn came back earlier.

"I'm fine, Lol. Thank you." Thank you." Eryn sipped this tea made by his best friend.

"Umm, who was that guy? Do you know him close?" ask Lolita.

"Eh? She is..." Eryn was confused as to what to answer.

"That's it. No need to answer. Then I'll excuse you."

Eryn nodded. "Thanks for the tea" said Eryn.

Eryn covered his face with both hands trying to neutralize the taste that was in his heart. He did not want others to know about this heartbreak.

Suddenly Eryn's phone shook. A call from Elza, her sister-in-law.

"Hello, Elza..."

"Sister! Quickly go home!" Elza's voice panicked.

"What's wrong?"

"A group of people came to the house. They said they were from the prosecutor's office. They searched Eric's office. Brother, please come quickly! Eric's cell phone can't be reached."

"L-yes, I'll be home soon. You calm down! Wait for me at home!"

Eryn turned off the phone and immediately cleaned up his belongings and picked up the bag and left immediately. He asked Lolita to take care of all the work today.

Eryn arrived home and immediately looked for the whereabouts of the people there. He ran to Eric's office. He saw the place was a mess.

"Who are y'all? Why search my husband's study?" ask Eryn.

One of the men approached Eryn. "You're Mrs Eryn Evans?"

"Yes. What is this really about?" eryn asked trying to stay calm.

"We're from the prosecutor's office. This is a search warrant for defendant Eric Evans." The man gave a piece of paper to Eryn.

"Huh?! The defendant?" Eryn gawking in disbelief. He read the letter carefully.

"Corruption?" Eryn shook his head slowly.

"My husband can't do this!" eryn asserted by shaking off the warrant.

"Everything is still under investigation, ma'am. You better work together." The man left Eryn and returned to give orders to his men.

"Search carefully! Any suspicious things you'll take as evidence!" yelled the man.

Eryn could only freeze looking at this chaotic situation. He came out of the room and looked for Elza.

"Sister!" It was unexpected that Elza approached Eryn and hugged him.

"What's going on, brother?" elza's crying broke.

"You calm down! I'm sure everything's gonna be okay." Eryn tried to calm Elza down.

"Where can I calm down, brother. They're holding Eric's brother."

"What-what?!" Eryn. He still combined today's events with others.

"It must be Black!" thought Eryn.

Then came the voice of Eleanor who shouted. Eryn and Elza looked at each other and walked quickly to Eleanor.

The middle-aged woman was banishing the people who entered her room.

"Get the hell out of my room!" shouted Eleanor.

Eryn was just stunned to see the chaos in the Evans family home. His eyes were fixed on Noah, who was held captive by Matilda. Eryn stared at the woman as if to tell her that he was asking to look after his son during this mess.

"Mother!" Elza approached Eleanor and asked her to calm down.

Three hours had passed and finally the men finished ransacking the entire house.

Eryn simply nodded and followed the procedure. He said goodbye to Elza.

"Just mom and aunt! Don't think shit. We can definitely get through this" Eryn said.

"Yes, Brother. Be careful, yeah!"

Eryn nodded then got into the car belonging to the prosecutor's office.

the Office of Prosecutors

Eryn's car stopped right in front of the city prosecutor's office. Eryn was surprised because there were already many news seekers present there.

Eryn walked with a tight escort into the building. The reporters shouted asking if her husband was involved in the corruption case.

Eryn never thought how could Eric be entangled in this case? He knew that Eric wouldn't do something like this.

As he was about to enter a room, Eryn saw a familiar figure to him. Eryn stared intently at the man.

"I thought it must be him!" inner Eryn.

The officer opened the door for Eryn. There he saw Eric in the room.

"Gear!" eryn approached Eric.

"Hi" said Eric, who immediately hugged Eryn.

Eryn returned Eric's embrace. After a while, Eric took off his embrace.

"I'm sorry if I had to make you come here" Eric said.

"What actually happened? They ransacked our house" Eryn told me.

"Everything will be fine. Trust me!" Eric summarizes Eryn's face.

"It's all my fault!" Eryn.

"No! It's not your fault! And never blame yourself" Eric replied.

From outside the room, a man growled in annoyance at the affection of Eric and Eryn. Who else if not Black.

"What are we gonna do to him?" ask an officer to Black.

"Just do it as per procedure" Black replied.

In the room, Eryn gets some questions from an officer. Eric was taken to another room.

Three hours passed, it was getting dark and Eryn had just finished checking. He is proven not dragged in the case that befell Eric.

Eryn says goodbye to Eric before he leaves. Back Eric summarizes Eryn's face and gives a kiss on the woman's forehead.

"Please take care of my family! I'm sure all of this will be over soon" Eric said.

Eryn nodded. Eric hugged Eryn tightly before letting go. His eyes looked at Black who was also there watching the scene. He deliberately shows it to Black as if to tell if Eryn is his wife and he is entitled to Eryn.

"Time is up. For a while Mr Evans could not meet anyone but his lawyer" an officer said.

"Get yourself!" Eryn.

"You too!" reply Eric. The man was immediately taken by several officers.

Eryn was so heavy taking Eric off. The man was very nice to her. And now the man has to get in trouble because of him.

Eryn walked out of the building. No more reporters lined up in front of the building. He immediately called a taxi and headed back home. He was worried about the condition of the people of the house who looked very shocked by the events today.

After a while, Eryn arrived at Evans' residence and pressed the bell at the door. A servant opened the door for Eryn.

The beautiful woman walked lethargicly into the house. He met Eleanor who was waiting for him.

THE PLAQUE!

A slap was slapped by Eleanor to Eryn's left cheek. The surprised Eryn held onto her hot cheek.

"It's all because of you! You fucking carrier!" shouted Eleanor.
