Second Change

Second Change
Chapter 37's

Two hours and twelve hours in the air with the iron bird finally landed at Narita airport. A place filled with emotions. Both those who come and those who go, all gathered in this place carry different stories. Can be happy, sad, confused, curious and afraid.

I carried a happy feeling of following the crowd of people who got off one plane with me. My heart was pounding even more considering David was waiting for me in the pick-up area. He deliberately arrived the day before to prepare the inn and transportation in order to pick me up.

Once inside the airport building, the surroundings felt very foreign. Languages I don't understand, writings I don't know, people of different skin colors. All but one of the men in white, tall, were waiting expectantly among the crowd who were also waiting for the person to be picked up. He had not seen me, my tears had already fallen before seeing clearly his face that was in the distance. Even though I had drafted the scenario when I met David, I would run and jump into his arms and spin like I saw in the dramas. But not yet, these stupid tears had already come out and these legs were trembling. Not a single organ of my body would approve of this ridiculous scenario.

I dragged the suitcase with limped legs, trying to move as fast as I could. The closer I get, the more tears I have. I rubbed it many times with my wet sleeves. My steps became heavy when he finally saw me. Like all the weight falling on my feet, nailing me to stop. I cried as I spread out my hands to welcome him who was running towards me.

Happy tears for the first time in a lifetime. David stopped before me, watching me with a smile no less happy. I wiped away the remains of my tears and removed the distance between us. A tight hug that made the people around envious, observing as it passed. Finally this heartbeat that I longed for was heard again in my ears. I laughed in my tears. David grabbed my cheek and kissed my lip.

"Is this really my little Lia?" the first words spoken in his mouth. "Why are you kurusan?"

"You.." I gulped and took a breath. "How are you getting more handsome?"

David laughed, his crisp voice of laughter making me even happier.

David squeezed my hand out for a second after we set foot inside. We were confronted by a large room without a bulkhead. There are several gold support poles in the room, full tatami floor neatly arranged with horizontal and vertical texture. On the wall of the room there are scroll paintings with pictures of mountains and views of the river leaning with other paintings. There's a porcelain vase as big as me around every corner. David and I stared for two seconds. We don't know what to do and we don't know where to go. Anyway we just stood where we were dumbfounded, which was the middle of the room.

"Bring. Lia san desuka?"

Suddenly a voice appeared from the side of the room which turned out to be Shoji that could be shifted. David and I looked tight. A middle-aged woman in a luxurious kimono greeted us with a big smile to the point of not revealing her eyeballs.

Next, David continued the conversation with the woman in Japanese which I did not understand at all. We had dinner with some members of the Vivi family. The friendly woman who greeted us earlier was Vivi's sister-in-law. In addition there is Vivi's older brother, Vivi's mother and Vivi's female cousin. The whole point of the conversation during this sumptuous dinner was that they were very grateful for the care and attention I gave Vivi during her time in the hospital. Vivi is very grateful and wants to give me a gift. But gifts of goods are not enough to repay the kindness of my heart. So, Vivi finally invited me to Japan so I could come with a boyfriend who hasn't met for a year as a more memorable and unforgettable gift. Vivi's gift wasn't just dinner with a member of the royal family. An even more amazing gift is sailing on a cruise ship with several stops on some of the famous islands for seven days.

"Are you on leave for seven days?" I asked David as we were on our way back to the hotel.

"It's okay. A month's leave is no problem." David kissed my forehead.

The lexus car, which was driven by David, is now being carried by a driver who has been prepared by the Vivi family. As a result I can hug David as much as possible on the back bench.
