Episode 11 - Lily, The Friendly Queen

Since morning, Avelia did not see the Snow Prince aka the cold-hearted boss coming to the office. His head got tired himself back and forth glancing towards the entrance, but he was invisible.

"Said directly meeting with the client first." Finally Ave got a piece of that info from Akbar who was sitting right next to him.

Ave nodded. Actually he wanted to know if the Boss was back or not, considering he invited Lily to lunch with him today. Ave doesn't want to ask anything at this time. His job was at stake and he opted for a bit of calm.

Zaid is not what he thought he was. Ave thought, he managed to make the man like most of the men who approached him. Easily fooled by her beauty. Zaid is different. It's too cold, haughty and not easy to understand. What is clear, Ave felt that he failed to read the wishes of the human one.

Last night when the whole family got together, he secretly pulled Lily over to talk about today. Hopefully Lily, that ignorant queen can make Zaid's heart softer on Ave. At least eliminate the image of the affair alleged to him.

Ave really can't wait for lunch time to arrive. Especially since morning, the Management room only has him, Jenny and Mr. Wiryo. Two people whose characters are more or less Zaid. Not much to say when busy. Fortunately, the pile of work that the Management staff ordered on Ave also managed to keep the girl busy.

So when the sound of the song rang from the radio in the building, Ave hurriedly stood up. Move towards the Cafe on the ground floor, while sending a message to Lily.

[Ave: Brother, have you been there?]

[Lily: Yes! From that point on.]

[Ave: Sorry Brother, just got a break.]

[Lily: No papa, there's Mas Zaid nemenin!]

Ave rubbed his eyes. Whahuh? Not wrong? Hurry up he pressed the elevator button to open immediately. With a pounding heart, he entered and waited until the elevator took him to the ground floor. In his heart he hoped nothing would happen. Don't let Lily expose her lies.

While on the ground floor, 30 minutes ago before lunch time, Lily had already arrived. Assisted by Vani, he sat on one of the sofas near the window.

"Would you wait here or call me Ave, Li?" ask Vani.

Lily shook her head. "No need! It's not time yet, Mother. Just pick Lily up again in about an hour."

"Ready, Mom!" Vani hands Lily the bag and leaves the President's own wife.

Meanwhile, Zaid, who had been sitting down to read his IPAD after a meeting, lowered his gadget and looked at the pregnant woman who was talking to the waiter.

That woman is young and beautiful. Unlike in magazines or news stories featuring his picture, seen directly Ajie's wife looks more like a teenager if her big belly is invisible. His face was cheerful and a smile was always visible. I don't know what the beautiful woman said that made the maid blush and hold back the laughter until she left the table.

Inevitably Zaid had to admit, Ajie was lucky to choose such a beautiful woman. Natasha feels defeated. Zaid was no wonder about that. Just how could Ajie meet his wife, it was still a big question mark for Zaid and everyone who knew Ajie. Obviously, his wife is not from among celebrities or famous artists. She's just an ordinary woman.

Since it was not yet lunch time, the cafe was still quiet. So when Zaid noticed, Lily, who was looking at the cafe, caught the man's gaze wet. Instead of being embarrassed, Lily's hand waved at Zaid while throwing a smile before he looked down again, taking something from inside his big bag. The movement had made Zaid amazed. The woman even dared to call him.

Feeling called, Zaid stood up. As she arrived in front of Lily's desk, the young lady was still busy looking for something from inside her bag.

"Hello, did you call me?" ask Zaid.

Lily looked up. "Ah... Oh no! Not really!" sergeant Lily chuckled while shaking.

Zaid's face became puffed up. "Aren't you Ajie Al Farizi's wife? Who wants to meet Avelia?"

Lily's eyes opened wide before nodding. "But usually people guess my name is Lily first, before knowing I am Mas Ajie's wife," he said still smiling.

Zaid just nodded. "I'm just making sure."

"Who are you? How do you know I want to see Ave?" ask Lily astonished.

"Because Ave said he wanted to know me with Mbak."

"Oooh, oooh understand now. Be seated! Be seated! Yeah, well, acquaintance," Lily stretched out her hand. "I'm Truly Amanda, call me Lily. But you can also call Ms. Ajie. Whatever."

Zaid shook the hand that crossed the table. "I'm Zaid Zabir" he replied as he sat in front of Lily.

"Hello Mr. Zabir," said Lily.

"Call me Zaid, Ma'am! Don't wear it, sir" said Zaid. For some reason, he could not be cold to this friendly-looking woman.

Lily nodded. "Ave is not yet time to rest. So we wait a minute. He's still a new employee. We're afraid we're bothering."

Zaid. Does Lily not know about her?

"Did you know Ave?" ask Lily kindly. The waiter brought him a sandwich with a glass of orange juice. "You want to order?" lily offered.

Zaid looked at the waiter. "One Espresso."

After the servant left, Zaid replied, "Not a month."

"Aah, means just know when Ave started working huh? Thank goodness I have friends here. Huff!" Lily nodded. "I'm worried about Ave. Lately he's been complaining a lot."

"Dark?" Zaid's forehead is wrinkled.

Lily nodded gloomily. "Since work, every day Ave complains about his boss. Said the boss he was being blackmailed. Cute but the bleeding. He's having a hard time sleeping."

Zaid's lips clenched, forming a straight line. Trying to hold back.

"Ave never worked. This is the first time he has worked here. I can't bear to let him work. Where is the office far away! Where is the boss so again! Kasian. But yes, she wants to be independent" Lily said. His hands were busy cutting sandwiches and devouring small pieces every once in a while.

"Home far?" ask Zaid slowly. He can make sure Lily doesn't recognize him.

Lily nodded. "Yes, that's why I'm so heavy to take him off. Afraid of nothing. He's new in Jakarta."

"If you may know, what is your relationship with Ave?" search Zaid. Just then the waiter came to deliver his ordered coffee.

Lily was silent for a moment. He thought for a moment. Since a month ago, Ave warned her not to say who she really is in order to qualify for the agreement with Papa. Therefore, he answered lightly. "Still my distant cousin's sister. We have been working since High School. Different schools, but one tutoring place. Just because Ave finally left Jakarta, we just met again when I want to get married."

Zaid's head up and down understood. "So that's why she's also familiar with your husband?"

Zaid breathed a sigh of relief. Ave didn't lie to him. Lily's face clearly showed that she wasn't lying. His heart is calmer now. Relaxedly, he sipped his coffee.

"But sorry... Do you like it Ave?" guess Lily with her eyes shining wit.

Coffee gushed out as Zaid coughed. Lily helped him pick up the tissue. After that, Zaid smiled shyly at Lily. "I... "

Lily shook her hand. "Yes, I am ashamed. You guys are new to me too, just working. That's natural. I was wrong it was too shallow. But Mas himself works here too?"

Zaid nodded.

"A share with Ave?"

Zaid. "Slightly higher than Ave, Ma'am." He can't answer the truth. Lily must be embarrassed that she did.

"Too so, I can titip Ave ya Mas. Please help my sister. Taught him times he can't." Then Lily leaned forward. "Sama helpin if he is again scolded by his boss who is angry. Ave was so scared of her boss" he whispered again.

Zaid could only nod with a bitter smile. I don't know what Ave said to Lily, until she seemed worried like this. Then came the ringtone from Lily's bag. Lily picked up the phone, smiled as she read it and replied to it.

"Nih Ave just got to get off! What else do you want to ask? It's difficult if there's a person," Lily said as she placed the phone on the side of her plate.

Zaid nodded.  "Ave... I mean, Avelia why is she afraid of her boss?" ask Zaid carefully.

Lily shrugged her shoulders. "He said he was wrong. But not to say what is wrong either. Just what can Ave do? I know the boy well, he wouldn't dare hurt anyone. Mosquitoes are just blown by doang! What I wonder is the same boss, how can evil Ave be so beautiful?"

It was very desirable for Zaid to say the mistake that Ave made to him. But this woman in front of him was pregnant. Zaid was worried that it would surprise him. Maybe Ajie will blame her again. There was enough trouble between them.

"Yaw! Sister Lily! Huh! Huh! Huh!" The sound of a stifled screech calling made the two turn their heads. Ave stood up with a breath of breath staring at the two alternately.

Lily laughed at Ave's expression. "Oh God, Ve. Just run away!" The woman stood up.

"I'll try my best, Ma'am." A heavy voice Zaid answered.

"Even if it's just a cousin, I love Ave. So if there is a problem with him, need help I can.. This is my business card, just contact me! At any time, you can ask again about Ave," Lily said as she offered her card.

Zaid. "But sorry, Ma'am. I forgot to bring my business card." It was impossible for him to give a business card containing information of himself after all this misunderstanding.

In order to divert the conversation, Ave pretended to ask, "So the check-up schedule is tomorrow, sister?"

"Who wants to be checked, Ma'am?" zaid asked attentively cutting into Ave and Lily's chatter. Ave looked at him in disbelief. This man...how could he be so friendly to Lily?

"This, Mas. Her future cousin Ave," she replied casually pointing at her stomach.

Zaid was still asking again, Lily's gestational age and about her health. Not only that, he also sincerely prayed for smoothness and ease when Lily gave birth later. Of course it made Lily smile happily. While Avelia just stared at the two in disbelief.

Until finally Vani is seen coming to their table. Lily stood up and stood up. Suddenly Lily pulled Zaid and whispered something. Zaid chuckled slightly before nodding. Making Ave look at the two suspiciously.

"What's the hell not to say?" ask Ave suspiciously.

As soon as Lily came out, Avelia walked over to leave Zaid without daring to look at him. But Zaid caught his hand instead, and held back his steps.

Ave raised his head, looking at Zaid in confusion.

Zaid nodded convincingly. "Your brother is a good man. She's pregnant too. He's not wrong. Don't worry, I'll never be angry with him!"

Ave let out a breath. Relieved.  *Thankfully! *

But Zaid's eyes narrowed next door as he stared at Ave. There was a thin grin at the corner of her raised lips. "But I'm not saying you can get away with it after my gosipin is so good."

The feathers of Avelia stood up instantly. That grin, those eye rays. Avelia knew, punishment was waiting for her.
