~ I... just want... you, Ve (Zaid) ~.
When Ave wants to meet the Eagle in Zaid's study. It turned out that his best friend had gone home and Zaid was not in his study either. Jenny tells Ave that Zaid is resting on the 9th floor. Hurrying, he went up to the 9th floor to meet Zaid.
"Eagle's here why, Mas?" ave asked as she sat next to Zaid, who was closing her eyes, leaning against a chair facing a large window that showed a view of the city.
"Why? You think he came here because he wanted to bed you?" Zaid asked without opening his eyes. His face looks tired.
Ave was actually annoyed at being answered that coldly, but finally he could only mutter, "Issh... It's just a time."
Zaid opened his eyes slowly. "What is your relationship like?"
Ave looked beside him. Staring at that cold face that barely showed any expression. "According to Mas?" ask Ave meaningfully.
A moment of astonished glint appeared in Zaid's eyes before he flicked his hand. "Forget it, you don't have to answer! When are you gonna be honest with me?" he said before closing his eyes and returning to his head. He deliberately sat here to cool his heart and head that felt burning after meeting the Eagle.
"good. Ave will be honest... "
Zaid's lips formed a mute smile. But he didn't budge. That's something Ave can't do right now.
"Ave's real name is Avelia Shamsiah Al Farizi. Ajie Al Farizi, Ave's sister, and Lily's sister-in-law, Ave. Ave can't tell Ave's real identity because he has a special agreement with Papa for that."
Zaid's body froze. He doesn't know whether to open his eyes or not. But decided not to move and continued listening.
"Since Ave's parents divorced, Ave went with Mama and Ajie went with Papa. Ave knew Mas Eagle in Sydney. There we were familiar before Ave went home first. A few months ago, Ave met Mas Elang. When we met again, Mas Elang already had a girlfriend and Ave never had a single day of any romance with Mas Elang. Mas Eagle said, Ave will always be his sister. Ave also thought of him as a brother."
Finally Zaid opened his eyes and turned to his side, looking at Ave who was also looking at him. This girl admitted everything and to be honest Zaid himself did not think he did it.
"We hugged it out of habit in Aussie, Mas. That's the way everyone used to do it. Mas Eagle also hugged his other girl friends. We were really just friends. Please, don't take this wrong!"
"Then what about you? Did you also hug all of your male friends while there?" cut Zaid. Ave could see another flaming fire glow in his eyes.
Ave didn't know what to answer, "Hmm that... " Zaid shook his head in disbelief and Ave hurriedly continued, "Only a few! Just one or two! Ave doesn't have many friends there!"
"There Ave was always with Mama. Mama's sick and Ave just wants to be with her. Ave doesn't have time to hang out, so Ave's friends don't have much. Mas Eagle helped Ave a lot when Mama just died. Thanks to him... Ave... Ave doesn't feel alone."
"Is it heavy?" sergeant Zaid suddenly.
Ave gawking. "Huh? Weight? What's?"
Zaid smiled faintly again. But his eyes look sad. "When Mama died... Is that heavy?"
Once again their eyes meet. Two people who know what it's like to lose. Emotions raged in the hearts of the two, but neither dared to reveal them. Ave was afraid that her tears would fall again, because talking about that time was always smothering her chest. Zaid knew the answer Ave couldn't say and he understood it. He regretted asking that, as if opening his old wound. But it's too late...
"... Yes, really hard. Ave even thought to... " The answer hangs and Ave looks down. A speck of water fell on his hands clasping each other on Ave's thighs.
Silent. Only Zaid's hand moved holding Ave's two tiny hands. Then slowly Ave leaned her head against Zaid's shoulder. Without saying anything, Zaid transmitted warmth through his hands as well letting the girl lean on him. In silence, he let Ave vent his longing.
Deep in Zaid's heart, he begins to understand the relationship between Ave and the Eagle. He thanked the Eagle. The young man had plenty of opportunities to love Ave if he wanted to. The eagle was with Ave when this girl was in need of someone. If one of them ends up falling in love, it's a natural thing.
But this is not, the Eagle loves others and Ave chooses to say all about them honestly to him rather than misunderstand Zaid. Zaid's entire jealousy faded away instantly.
Zaid's only regret, he wasn't with Ave at the time.
After a while, Ave started telling me about Papa and their ridiculous agreement. Zaid listened to everything without cutting at all. He now understood that Al Farizi's family was not what he thought it was. A guilty smile rang when Zaid recalled a thin, quiet friend who was in Junior High. It was only fitting that Ajie hated himself and other friends for mocking him.
"But Mas has to promise me who Ave is before the Ave and Papa betting period is over. Papa's got a lot of spies. Just a little gap, Ave won't be able to marry you."
"So you really want to be my wife?" ask Zaid with a dikulum smile.
Ave's turn turned cold. "So Mas nglamar is just kidding? Oh yeah... "
"Whatchu mean? You don't want to be my wife?"
"When did Ave say Ave wanted to be Mas's wife?"
"You... "
Ave laughed a little. Then patted his palm with Zaid's palm. "When Kak Lily was proposed, she was applied to the roof floor of GE which was turned into a flower garden. Mas Ajie also ordered the best jewelry from abroad," he said implied.
"I'm not Ajie" Zaid quickly.
"And being a lover, so a girlfriend. Who said that everyone going out can be a married couple."
Zaid's eyes narrowed. "Why are you saying that?"
"Just saying... "
Again Zaid held back furious. But Ave doesn't care. This man without feelings should be taught a lesson. Ave had already explained all his feelings, how could this man propose with just a line of words? Did he think Ave was just an item that could be picked up and carried at will?
"Have you met Lily and Tiar?" asked Zaid as if he didn't care about Ave's insinuations. He changed the subject of the conversation.
Ave could only sigh. Free. This ice-cold man with no feelings was impossible to understand Ave's intentions. Instead of fussing again, Ave chose to give up. He nodded.
"Then I'll be home by 10 tonight."
Ave just nodded. Then, rising up lazily, he said goodbye. "Well then, Ave said goodbye."
But just as he stood up, his hand was forcefully pulled and his body pushed down onto Zaid's lap. The man instantly locked onto Ave's body with both of his coiled hands.
"Where is it when people use houses there is a fee."
Ave chuckles. "baby? Are you asking for payment?"
"of course! You think I'm a businessman that's free. Nothing is free, My Little Princess!"
"So want... "
Ave had not finished asking, when Zaid's large hand touched his chin and herded his face closer to the man's face. "I want this," murmured Zaid before landing a kiss on Ave's lips.
As Zaid's hand touching his chin moved to the back of his neck and tightened his embrace, between kisses came a whisper of a heavy, hoarse voice. "I. I just want to. you, Ve."
Slowly Ave's hands wrapped around Zaid's neck, letting her lover deepen the kiss. Ave no longer thought about his desire for the most beautiful proposal. For him, every touch and every togetherness with this man was enough. It's okay there's no moving proposal, it's okay there's no expensive beautiful jewelry. As long as he had Zaid, he could fight for anything for their relationship.
Ave also only wanted Mas Zaid.
