~ The first kiss that suddenly made the Princess woke up from a dream ~
Unlike when they left for work, when the big motorbike brought the two back home, they were both silent. Both are immersed in each other's thoughts.
Ave knew Zaid's silence because of him. He made another mistake. Hugged his boss without permission. When he realized that, Ave was already outside the room. He who had jumped up in excitement because his request was fulfilled, stood frozen long enough in front of the door. As Ave peered back into the meeting room, Zaid was already standing facing the window. The laptop screen has folded back. Seeing him like that, Ave did not dare to approach.
While Zaid hesitates to take a decision between the two options. Avoiding Ave or loving the girl whatever her condition.
His heart and mind are at odds with each other. On one hand, he realized his heart had already been won by Ave. He may be able to evade her by dismissing or transferring her to another department. Just to be able to forget about Ave, Zaid was completely unsure.
But on the other hand, he himself once threatened to fire Ave if he dared to fall in love with her. Plus Ave is also no ordinary girl, there is something in her that always makes Zaid unable to trust the girl completely. Loving someone needs to trust each other. Without it, not only would two people hurt each other, it was possible that they would hurt everything around them. Zaid knew very well about it.
Red light in front of them, making Zaid automatically press the brake pedal. The motor stopped for a moment. Zaid felt something in his stomach move backwards. Ave's two hands that had wrapped around her waist accompanied by a hug behind Zaid began to loosen. No longer concerned with the inner war that was still raging in his heart, one of Zaid's hands caught up and pulled Ave's hand back, making the girl's body pushed forward. Falling back on Zaid's back.
Ave wanted to pull his hand, but Zaid's hand held it tight until the red light changed to green. The man got ready, but moved Ave's hand to his stomach again. Like at the beginning, Ave was forced to hug Zaid again before the bike drove fast.
Ave doesn't like riding bikes. If not for being forced because of his deteriorating financial situation a month ago, he would not want to ride a Zaid motorcycle. From the beginning Ave knew very well that the bike was just one of the tools of the youth in order to enjoy the touch and embrace of the girls. Until he stuck to Zaid's back...
Sticking like this reminded her of Ajie, when she used to drive him to school. Before Papa and Mama split up, before the two of them split up the residence. The happiest moments of Ave's teenage years. Love and care were part of his day.
The memory came again, but with a different taste. Ave can't explain it. He just felt like he was coming home. It was like feeling the warmth that had once been lost. The warmth that was now beginning to return filled his heart.
Knowing that Zaid also wanted him to keep hugging the man's back, Ave laid his head on Zaid's back, enjoying the warmth to the fullest. Suddenly Ave kangen Papa, also miss Mas Ajie and home. He also missed his late mother.
Ave blinked her eyes. Two tears flowed, his breath warmed up with emotion making the helmet glass dewy. He wanted to remove it, but was afraid to take off his embrace. What if Zaid takes his hand off and pulls it again? They could be hurt if that happened. So he opened the helmet glass by resting the end of the glass on Zaid's back, sliding it slowly open and letting the wind dry his wet face. Ave unknowingly, a trace of tears flowing down her cheeks soaked the suit that Zaid was wearing. Secretly Ave let out an entire yearning on Mama with a cry without a sound.
When they arrived, Ave hurriedly ran into the house. Fortunately, this time he could take off the helmet he was about to enter. Hiding her swollen eyes.
Zaid just looked at her without saying anything. Maybe the girl was in such a hurry because she had to cook lunch right away.
When Zaid stepped into the kitchen, Ave's ears were blocked by a small headset and he was busy taking out some boxes of groceries. Without waiting, Zaid chose to go up to the second floor. To his own room. He will pray dhuhur first, as well as calm himself. He needs time to think about the present, before deciding on his next course of action.
Zaid put his suit up on the bed, rolled up his pants and sleeves as he accidentally pounded his eyes on the suit again. Back Zaid grabbed it, noticing the wet stains on the back.
It's a water trail. But from where?
Zaid's head tilted for a moment. Thinks. Then he flinched with his own guess.
Is Ave crying? Wh why? The girl was always laughing and smiling. His eyes are always filled with happy rays, which sometimes seem ignorant and full of tricks. But Zaid had never seen her cry.
Then, after being silent for a long time and unable to think of any possible reason, Zaid sighed and chose to pray first. God has all the answers.
As it descended back towards the dining room, it appeared that the dinner plate had been prepared. A large bowl of soup was already available on the table. There are side dishes that do not yet exist. But only for one person. So are his glasses and spoon equipment.
Zaid goes into the kitchen, goes to Ave. "Aren't you eating, Ve?" ask Zaid.
There's no answer. There was still a headset tucking in Ave's ear that was behind him. Busy frying. Deciding not to bother, Zaid returned to the dining room. Sitting waiting.
Not until five minutes, Ave appeared carrying a tray containing one bowl of rice porridge and two dishes containing fried tempeh side dishes and rolled omelet. "Sorry, Sir. Not hunted with other fries. We fear over. Ave masakin is simple. Oh yes. This is a special porridge for Father. Let your stomach go out."
The girl lifted one bowl and one plate in front of Zaid. Set it up to be easy to reach.
Zaid looked up, looking at Ave. "You sit down too. Eat with me," orders Zaid. He stopped asking and chose to rule like that with Ave. It was the only effective and quick way of telling the girl.
True to her guess, though initially hesitant, Ave sat quietly in a chair near Zaid. The plate that was prepared for him, Zaid proffered to Ave. "I ate a bowl of porridge. You're wearing this."
For some time, they ate in silence and only the sound of flatware was heard.
"Ve," Zaid called still, looking at his porridge and playing with his spoon.
Ave looked at Zaid confusedly.
"You got a girlfriend?" ask Zaid again. He grabbed a glass and drank a sip. Suddenly his throat was dry.
While Ave felt like there was lightning was thundering beside his ears. For a moment he felt deaf before gulping. Think hard to figure out the meaning of the question before answering. Nothing to think about. Niente. Zaid's face looked flat as he asked.
"Mmmm, didn't Ave say nothing, sir." He can only answer honestly.
"But that time you said you were in love again" Zaid reminded.
Ave looked down, hiding his face. At that time he was joking. Other than the Eagle, he never felt anything at all for any man. The only thing that has made him tremble, fear, worry and bewilderment lately is Zaid. It cannot be considered falling in love. Ave is pretty sure about that. It's just that, seeing the look on the serious face of the man beside him made him not dare to answer honestly. Weakly, Ave could only nod.
"Elang? What's with him?" guess Zaid relax.
Ave hurriedly raised his hand, waving evasively while shaking his head repeatedly. "No! Wasn't it! The eagle already has a girlfriend. He's dating Ma'am... " Given Natasha's ban, Ave shut her mouth again before continuing weakly, "Mother."
"Oh so." Then the silence came back. Almost ten minutes passed before Ave stood up to clear everything back into the kitchen.
Ave purposely busied herself in the kitchen. Leave the dining room that feels hotter than usual. Zaid's attitude was very different from usual. After that accidental hug, Zaid was like everyone else. Ave was restless at imagining things that might happen outside of his plan.
Ave washes dirty dishes to completion, while thinking. But it seems pointless. His heart still thumped ungodly. Confused, mixed with fear and worry. Although Elang and Natasha supported him, he was currently unable to give up both of his work. Ave exhaled strongly.
"Ve?" The soft sound near Ave's ears made the girl turn around quickly and jump in shock when she saw Zaid standing behind her. Real close.
Ave's back is attached to the dishwasher counter. Wet exposed to water that is still spraying from the faucet. Zaid advanced once, turning off the water faucet. But that move made his body barely stick to Ave.
The look they meet. Zaid could clearly see a pair of large eyes that were flushed red as if holding back a cry. Suddenly all doubt in Zaid's heart vanished.
"If you don't want to, tell me... "
Before Ave's mind could digest the meaning of those words, Zaid had already lowered his head, raised a little tip of Ave's chin and kissed the girl's lips gently.
At first, Zaid only kissed slowly. Sometimes touching lightly, sometimes pressing a little. Exploring the corner of Ave's lips slowly, waiting for Ave's response.
After Zaid felt Ave's raised hand touch his arm, he began to open Ave's lips and kiss her deeper. It's their first kiss, but surprisingly the two can adjust to each other easily, enjoying each second with harmony. This is the time, this is the time. Just the two of them.
Either who wants to give, or who receives because in the end the two are complementary, filling each other. No one knew who ended up, Zaid and Ave both let go slowly. The breaths of both are together. No longer remember how long they did it, until breathing alone was difficult.
The moment Ave opened his eyes, there was a deep pair of grayish-black eyes looking at him. There are no icebergs, only warmth. The small smile on the man's face was like a small sun shining brightly.
But Ave realized something. His shoulders began to shake, before his tears fell. He covered his face with both hands. Cry broke.
The smile on Zaid's lips instantly vanished. Worriedly he looked at Ave. "Why Ve?"
It was not this kind of rejection that Zaid had expected. The girl just kept quiet. He even felt that Ave was enjoying it. A form of acceptance. For a moment Zaid's heart almost exploded so happy. But now... How could she even cry?
