~ I love Ave because of him.. sloppy, forgetful and. wayward ~.
Zaid looked at the incoming message on his phone. From Danu, Ajie's assistant.
[Andu: Ajie agrees. 3 days.]
After thinking and talking to her friends including convincing Natasha, Zaid decides to go to Malaysia for a few weeks until the rest of Avelia's time working at The Crown.
Last night, Zaid called Ajie and asked for time. Ajie gave him three days.
Ajie thinks Zaid will be gone for a while until Avelia is done. As long as Zaid isn't around, Ajie takes care of The Crown.
The man will return the company along with the shares he had with Zaid after two months. But Ajie doesn't know, Zaid never intended to accept it.
In Zaid's plan, he needed three days before leaving to talk to those closest to him, convince them to keep working at The Crown, whoever would be president of his director. He also needs time to make sure Avelia does not suspect his departure and remains willing to wait as usual. Zaid also needs to arrange a step so that later he can come back and melt the hardness of Ajie's heart.
Zaid believes Ajie will want to hear if they communicate a lot because of The Crown. After all, now that Ajie no longer forced Avelia to return to her home, she let Avelia stay at Zaid's house despite being half-threatening.
But Zaid never expected, the person he never counted on actually contacted him early in the morning.
In order not to give a bad impression, since from the house Zaid drove the car while composing words when facing the father of his lover. Zaid didn't want him to take a wrong step.
Upon entering the restaurant, Zaid saw a middle-aged man standing up and then approaching him.
"With Mas Zaid Zabir?" ask the middle-aged man.
"Rubber, sir." replied Zaid.
The man extended his hand. "Haraon! My name is Aaron. The driver is Mr. Fariz."
"Well, Mr. Aaron," Zaid replied as he shook Mr. Aaron's hand.
With his hand code, Mr. Aaron took Zaid to the second floor of the cafe. They did not stop until they entered the inside of the restaurant and stopped in front of a door.
"Inside is Mr. Fariz. Please come in, Mum!" mr. Aaron said again while opening the door. Zaid gave a brief thank you and walked in.
A tall man sat waiting while looking at the Ipad screen. As soon as he saw Zaid, the man stood up, smiled kindly and put down his ipad. "Assalamualaikum, Ma... Zaid right?"
"Waalaikum salam. Right, sir," Zaid replied respectfully.
"Sit down! Sit down!" he said it was nice after they shook hands.
Zaid followed his request. After that Mr. Fariz noticed Zaid and nodded in satisfaction.
Zaid could not hide his smile. Although he had often seen photos of Mr. Fariz in the media and repeatedly saw him at various business meetings, Zaid only saw him up close. He could see eyes and smile lines that were very similar to Ave's. Even the way Mr. Fariz's eyes looked at someone, like a betel nut halved with Ave. It's similar.
While Mr. Fariz also began to judge by paying attention to Zaid.
Really this young man is not inferior compared to Eagle or Ajie. His height was also above average, and if standing with a little girl like Avelia, any parent would be sure that this young man would protect and take good care of their daughter.
Mr. Fariz has heard Mr. Aaron's brief report on the Zaid family. Compared to Eagle who is the sole heir to his parents' business empire, Mr. Fariz admired the young man in front of him more because he managed to build his own business.
Zaid did have a bitter past, but he got through it all and got up. Without family. Without anyone's help. Clearly, Zaid was not a random young man. He's a fighter.
But Mr. Fariz could only sigh. Surrender to the reality.
"I've heard from Ajie everything."
Mr. Fariz finally opened a chat about Ave. They both did not eat and only chose to order tea and some small meals. Zayd did not answer. He could have guessed the reason Mr. Fariz met him.
"May I know why you like Ave, son?" ask Mr. Fariz.
Zaid. "Because he is careless, forgetful and wayward" he replied with a smile.
Mr. Fariz's eyes popped a little. He can't stop his smile."That reason? Hmmmm... Wh why? Someone else if asked for sure because my son is beautiful, smart and funny. How do you like it because of that?"
Zaid's eyes were shining. Mr. Fariz immediately saw love in those shady eyes. Mr. Fariz's heart seemed to be touched by something warm.
Zaid tilted his head slightly, smiling. "That's because.maybe because I've always worried about her, sir. I worry that he forgets to eat, forgets to sleep and forgets to rest. I was also worried whether he was being careful on the road or not. Or he eats something that might be dangerous. That's why I'm sure if he's not around me, I won't stop worrying. Maybe because of that so I fell in love because he was careless, forgetful and a little wayward. If Ave's the perfect girl, maybe she'll never need me."
Mr. Fariz's laughter broke."Ha ha ha ha's. Really good reason, kid! As a parent, I know exactly what you mean. Every parent will not see the perfection of his child, they always worry about his shortcomings."
"Then why don't you let him do what he likes?" ask Zaid. Slow but sharp.
The sudden question made Mr. Fariz's laughter instantly disappear, then he looked at his heart as he spoke again. "Surely about the cafe? You may not understand, son. Later if you become a new father understand. I just don't want my only daughter to have to work hard at serving people. Not a heart."
"Because you ever let Ave live alone in Sydney?" search Zaid.
Mr. Fariz nodded. His face began to look gloomy. His breathing sounded heavy. "Yes, because of that. I just found out from his Grandpa that during Ave there he worked part-time. I really felt guilty and didn't want to make Ave experience it again. Just close that round."
"Did you ever think that maybe that chapter was the best part of Ave's life?" said Zaid with a deep smile.
"What do you mean, son?" ask Mr. Fariz in wonder.
"Ave told me that when he works in the kitchen, serving people and meeting lots of new friends is a good therapy to forget his sadness," Zaid replied still slowly but still firmly. He didn't want to hurt Fariz's feelings.
"really?"
Zaid nodded and continued his explanation."He also said that cooking was reminiscent of his late mother. Cooking means giving happiness and joy. Ave said he wanted to build a cafe so that it could be a place for family, lovers who are in love and friends to gather. A place where people feel they have a place other than home. Homey and cozy. He called it that."
Mr. Fariz was silent to Zaid's explanation. He really did not know the reason his daughter was so sincere.
