~ No kingdom built overnight, but palace could be destroyed overnight ~
The special corner on the 9th floor is no longer a hiding place for Avelia. He decided to find another place. Pantry was much better than meeting that hot-tempered and ice-cold-faced Boss.
Two weeks have passed since Ave left home, and Ajie calls Avelia. He asked his sister to meet him at lunch. Not wanting to waste money to come to her brother's office, Ave asks Ajie to meet him at a cafe in the mall near his office.
"The key is all the way from your apartment, Ve?" ask Ajie when Ave arrives.
"Ave work here, Mas. The front building of this mall," the girl said as she pointed at the 28-story tall building in front of the mall. Ajie looked over and nodded. The building consists of several companies whose names are plastered in front of the building.
"Where's your job? Pleasant?" asked Ajie while putting the phone on the table, looking at his sister carefully. Ave looked thinner, but his eyes sparkled brighter than usual. Her job must be pretty fun for her.
Leaning back on his chair, Ave instead smiled wryly. "Just kidding, Mom? There is ave stress. It's amazing how Mas and Papa feel at home office work."
Ajie. "Not everyone thinks as freely as you, Ve."
Hearing Ajie's so serious sentence, Ave felt that there was something behind the remark. So as not to continue, he reasoned. "Ave can't take long, Mom. Still an intern, afraid there's work." Ave still didn't want to talk about anything else at the moment.
Ajie glanced at his watch. "It's still 40 minutes away. Don't forget to eat and rest too, Ve. Be patient! I'll try to talk to Papa about your cafe."
"Don't! Nay! Despite the weight, Ave loves to do it, Mas. It's quite fun. Let's do it like this. Nyenengin Papa too," Ave said with a sweet smile. He has to admit that. Instead of being home alone, she enjoys doing things and meeting lots of people. Especially at home, he only met Papa.
The sound of breathing was clear as Ajie stared at his sister. It wasn't easy for him to be between these two stubborn people he loved. "Papa will be very fond of you if you want to be betrothed to the person he chooses, Ve. Not in this way. How many weeks have I been gini."
"But I am so happy, Mom! This is my first freedom from all men in our family" he exclaimed excitedly. No Papa, Mas Ajie or Grandpa Wilson. He is free even though he lives within his limitations.
Ajie just looked at his sister once more. Start to understand what that means. Maybe it was time for him to relax a little bit of the scrutiny on Ave. Ave was even older than his own wife. So Ajie decided to directly tell her the true purpose of his arrival.
"Mas came here for Lily's nitip. You get him if you check on Ve again. I'm going to Singapore and Germany this week. Incidentally, my mother and the doctor did not ngizinin Lily boarded the plane if it was not important. Mom can not always nemenin him in Jakarta, so if you can also nginep in our house," said Ajie.
Ave nodded immediately. "Of course, Mom! Just calm down about it. But.. mmm, your adek is again poor, so can Ave ask for just transport money?"
Ajie laughed and nodded. "Must cash Ve? Did you hear from Papa, no card?"
Ave's lips grumbled. "Yes Mas. Cash only. Because Papa... Loan shark's expert. All credit and debit cards from family members, Ave can not use. Sadistic! Mas Ajie is sure Ave is Papa's son, right? Did we check the DNA!"
Ajie smiling. "You're this... Papa is so because he no longer knows what to do with you. Udah, uah. This is not enough? If less then ask for the same Lily. It has nothing to do with your business with Papa. Don't worry!" Ajie took out a few pink notes on Ave from his wallet.
Ave laughed as he counted the money and nodded. "Gak, Mum. This is until Mas came home too is enough to take a taxi. Fewer even. Mayan to buy pulses. Yeah, except if Ave was told to take a heli pick up Kak Lily, it's not enough."
Ajie laughed at the words of his sister who now looked like a girl in general. Worry about spending. At least Papa managed to make Ave become more mature and independent.
"Well, how healthy are you, Mom? Ave hasn't been home yet. It's always night at work" said Ave after putting money in his trouser pocket.
Ajie. "Yes, Papa is healthy. The plan is tomorrow Papa will also go to Europe via Singapore with Mas, want a vacation he said. Mas has made a schedule to check Papa's health there as well. You just calm down!"
"Well, that means tonight Ave goes home first. I'm going to see Papa!"
Ajie nodded in agreement. "Come! Coincidentally I want to pick up Papa too. Later on info to Papa. Come on, don't fuss anymore! Sometimes with parents." Then once again Ajie glanced at his watch. "That's aja. Call Lily later, please, so you can make a deal. They also have to go again. Is there anything you want to order? Bring food or... "
Ave shook her head while standing up. "Nothing, Mom. Yeah, Ave said goodbye."
"Eitts! Sampe forgot Mas's nyalamin," Ajie scolded. The man stood up, spread out his hands and Ave chuckled again before hugging her brother. For a moment, they hugged each other making the people in the cafe smile to see the intimacy of the two.
"Mas Ajie!" connect Ave and let go of the hug.
They both walked out of the cafe. But Ave still wrestled spoiled to her brother. He has not been useful to her for a long time. Only after being at the mall's doorstep did the two split up. Ajie moves towards the parking lot, while Ave goes down the sidewalk and through the crosswalk to his office.
Inside the cafe, not far from the seat of the two earlier, Zaid sat still with his back straight. His face was darker than usual. He could not hide his anger.
Ajie is married. The whole world knows, everybody knows. The man was too famous to hide his status. But the girl... That girl named Avelia doesn't seem to know about it. That stupid girl turned out to be truly an amazing fool! Out of nowhere, Natasha picked it up. How could he hug such a married man? Wear show kiss forehead all. Natasha and she really deserve to be two best friends. They are both stupid!
"Sir? Mr Zaid?" call the young man sitting in front of Zaid.
His floating mind instantly landed back. Zaid looked at the man in front of him. For a moment he tried to recall the contents of their previous conversation, but his eyes still returned to the former table where Ave and Ajie had met earlier. Now his mind could no longer be used to think of anything else.
"Sorry, I have to go. I'll call you later." Without waiting for an answer from his interlocutor who was confused to see this sudden change of atmosphere, Zaid stood up and walked quickly back to the office.
He had to meet the stupid girl. It was enough that he saw his best friend Natasha crying all night because of the man named Ajie, he did not want to see any more stupid women who became victims of Ajie. Even after so many years, his heart still boiled whenever he heard that name. It's not wrong to judge a rich man's son. They always do their stomachs well.
"Where's the cave?" zaid asked as soon as he walked into the Management Department and everyone was invisible. There was only Jenny sitting typing something on her laptop.
Jenny looked at Zaid in wonder. "Rest, Sir!" The girl glanced at the clock on the wall. It's still a break.
Sure oes. Where else? The girl always disappears in the break. Zaid tried to find the girl in the pantry room and sure enough... Ave sat on one of the chairs, resting her head on her folded arms, as if she was trying to sleep. There were two other staff there. But they looked so engrossed in their phones that they didn't see Zaid.
Zaid. For a moment he was confused because Ave was unaware of his presence before he finally tapped his fingers on the table where Ave was lying.
"Hmm." Lazily Ave raised her head. His forehead creased as he saw Zaid standing in front of him.
"I saw you meet Ajie Al Farizi. You know him?" asked Zaid without aling-aling.
Ave's eyes are wide open. Doubtful he nodded. Sebersit worry appears in Ave's heart, lest Zaid know about their relationship.
"Do you know if he's married?" ask Zaid again. Eyes darken.
Ave looked at Zaid. There's nothing to read there. The man's face was still as usual. Stiff, without a smile, with a cold face. But his eyes. Like there's a bar there.
A smile on Ave's lips. He was beginning to understand something. Before answering Zaid's question with a slow nod. Ave believes Zaid is jealous. Sure oes. Who can stand the charm of Avelia?
"And you hugged him in public?" ask Zaid again. This is no longer a question. It's statement.
Again Ave smiled and nodded. The other two Management staff, Aam and Denny, also started listening to their conversation. Both of them became misbehaved to see Zaid's reaction like a jealous lover. Just this time they saw Zaid talking directly to a female staff other than Jenny. The conversation is personal.
"Then make your resignation letter now! I don't tolerate any infidelity in this company, especially in that person." Then Zaid turned around leaving Avelia dumbfounded with wide steps.
Ave's heart fell to the floor. It was a sentence he did not expect at all. The resignation? Meanin? Unemployed without a job and that means his dream...
My Little Kingdom Cafe!!!
In a panic, Avelia stood up and ran after Zaid. He can't let that happen right now. Not at the moment!
