Chapter 15 - Insomnia

Silence enveloped the atmosphere. Bella and Ben are silent to each other. Bella can't even play cell phone. The girl was thinking of a way to go home.

"I'd better just go home" Bella said as she got up from her seat.

"Now? Are you sure? It's almost 12 p.m. You'd better stay the night" suggested Ben with his flat face.

"Be-night? In here?" Bella pointed at herself as she quickly shook her head. Then say no. He did not dare to spend the night. Afraid that Lucky might come back.

"Why do you look doubtful, Doctor? Don't tell me you're scared?" Ben did a lookout.

Bella is confused as to what to answer. If she refuses, she's afraid Ben will be angry. But Bella also does not want to spend the night at Ben's house. Besides being terrible, Bella also does not trust Ben or Lucky.

"No. I have to get home because there's another job." Bella gave a reason.

"Yes, I'm not forcing. But don't ask me to drive you." Ben stands. Then climb up the stairs.

Bella stunned. Ben did not have a high sense of caring. The man had no interest in making sure he was okay.

Bella grunts rough. His eyes glanced towards the stairs. His teeth were bluffing in annoyance. He finally left the house. Just a few steps away, Ben's figure was heard calling.

Bella's view automatically circulates. He finds Ben standing quietly on the balcony. The man looked straight at Bella. Put both his hands on the guardrail.

"Do you know why I live here? Because the forest here is thick. A lot of psychopaths like Lucky are hanging around here" Ben said. He turned his eyes towards the sky. Bella is still in place. The girl again took a long breath.

Bella bit her lower lip. After hearing Ben's words, he was suddenly overwhelmed with disturbing emotions. His head bowed for a moment. But after trying to stare Ben back, Bella finds the man has disappeared.

Rather than risk it, Bella decided not to go. He actually thought of calling Cecil. But not done because of anxiety. Ben has a point anyway. The night is too late. The road to the city is very quiet. Bella finally went back to Ben's house. Then sit on the sofa in the middle room.

Bella hugged her own body. The atmosphere of Ben's house is very gripping. The sound of the wind rustling made him grimace in horror.

"Follow me!" Ben suddenly made a sound. Causing Bella to gasp in shock. The girl looked. He found Ben had stepped up the stairs.

"You're telling me to come?" Bella made sure to get up from the seat.

"Yes." Yeah." Ben answered briefly.

Bella's soon following Ben. He was taken to a room not far from the stairs. Without a word, Ben left.

Bruk!

Bella closed the door. He did not forget to lock it. Next, Bella directly stretched to the top of the mattress. The beautiful girl tried to sleep.

Bella was only able to fall asleep for a few hours. Because the noise from outside causes him to wake up. There was a mysterious sound of footsteps heard. Bella was both scared and curious.

"Geez, this house is really a horror!" mumbling Bella. He tried to go back to sleep. But the sound of steps was heard again. Bella can't sleep quietly. The girl checked out the room.

There was only silence that greeted Bella. The owner of the footsteps that sounded earlier even disappeared. But just as Bella was about to return to the room, the sound of footsteps appeared from the north.

'What is Ben?' bella wondered. He was looking for the source of the foot clattering sound.

Bella slowly stepped up. He walked towards the back of the house. When she opens the back door, Bella is surprised by Ben who is bare-chested.

"You can't sleep." Ben concluded. He seemed to be relaxed with Bella's attitude. Because he is not really interested in women.

Ben had gone into a bath up filled with warm water. The bath up itself is on the back porch of the house.

"Are you going to keep watching me?" timpal Ben raised one of his eyebrows

Bella twists lazy eyeball. He finally decided to go back to the room. But before that, Bella had asked Ben about the sound of footsteps earlier.

"Did you walk back and forth on the stairs? That's you, isn't it?" Bella makes sure.

"Yes." Yeah." Ben answered briefly. He actually wanted to tell her that he had to take some stuff into the attic. But Ben said it because he was lazy to talk at length.

The next day, Bella wakes up earlier than Ben. At least that's how he thinks. But when she came down the stairs, Bella saw Ben was busy in the kitchen.

"You haven't slept all night?" ask Bella who is suddenly worried.

"Yes. Insomnia always strikes me when Lucky just showed up. But last night wasn't as bad as usual" Ben said. He looks like he's already wearing a neat suit. Prepare to go to the office and drop Bella off.

"You don't have to drop off, let me get Cecil or Brian to pick you up." Bella didn't really mean it. Like women in general, he is just selling expensive.

"Ah so," Ben responded calmly. He immediately took the car keys. Then get out of the house first.

Bella is used to Ben's cold attitude. He said he had to do something to deal with it. Bella will think of a way before Ben's therapy session starts.

Ben just left with his car. Bella just called Cecil on her landline. The girl did it before Ben left. Now Bella sits on the terrace to await the arrival of one of her colleagues.

Fifteen minutes later, a car stopped in front of Bella. It turns out the person who picked up was Brian. Without a second thought, Bella rushed into the car.

Bella's activities continued when she returned home. He had to take care of his father as well as take responsibility with some of the flower gardens belonging to the neighbors.

After making sure David had breakfast, Bella immediately changed clothes. He wore knee-length jeans, then a short black t-shirt. Bella did not forget to wear a hat so that her head could be protected from the hot sun.

It just so happens that Bella starts repairs in the garden of Mia's house. He planted one by one flower. Bella bought it when she came home with Brian.

It takes an hour to arrange the planting neatly. When everything is done for Bella. That's when Mia came out and checked.

"Why do you plant roses? I don't accept it! Quickly change the flowers. Roses are thorny and dangerous!" mia said while shaking her head. He acted like an employer. Bella is like a waiter to him.

Bella grunts rough. Despite that, she tries to be patient in the face of how chatty Mia is. Bella does what Mia tells her to do.
