Chapter 17 - Ben's Indifference

Lucky's journey seems far away. He had already covered a distance of about 100 km more. Lucky stopped by twice to fill the gas.

Lucky is busy driving. Small white pieces suddenly fell from the sky. Especially if it's not snow. A sign that winter has come.

"Shi*t!" fr Lucky. He's getting a car. The snowfall is getting heavier over time.

The dark conditions of the night, did not make Lucky tremble to continue the journey. He's a long way from downtown New York.

The sound of the whirling wind covered in cold ice particles, so tied up Lucky's white skin. The man started to get cold. The breath he let out from his nose even revealed a clear puff of smoke.

The phone suddenly rang. Listening to Ben's favorite jazz. Lucky was so shocked. Because before leaving, he was sure he had thrown Ben's phone.

Once again Lucky can only be cursed. He rushed to find a phone that had not stopped ringing. Lucky began to lose concentration.

As a result of losing driving focus, Lucky finally accidentally hit an electric pole. The snowfall made him confused to see the paved path. Lucky's head jolted forward. The man was immediately unconscious. His head was spitting out a bit of blood from accidentally hitting the steering wheel.

When Lucky just fainted, Bella woke up. He was shocked to find himself in the trunk of a car. Not to mention the rope that ensnared his hands and feet.

Genius girls like Bella don't have to think for long to figure out a way. He immediately untied the rope by biting it. After several experiments, Bella managed to release both hands from the shackles of the rope.

Now Bella banged on the luggage door by hand. Nihil, Bella's power is not able to open the luggage that has been locked tightly. The girl also did not know that the car had been covered by a mound of snow. So Bella's attempt to get out of the trunk is going to be even harder.

"Please! Anyone!" peekik Bella while putting both ears well. He hoped to hear someone's response. But Bella could only hear the sound of the wind.

The cold started to bind Bella. His mouth was trembling as he was trying to endure the cold.

Bella was silent for a moment. He wondered why he had not been taken out of the trunk? The car clearly stopped.

'Did Lucky have an accident?' bella's mind guessed. He again banged on the baggage door with all his might. Shouting with a loud voice.

Hearing the commotion that Bella made, Ben woke up. Now he has taken back his body.

Ben was shocked to see where he was. He certainly immediately concluded that everything was Lucky's work.

"He always makes trouble and tells me to solve it!" sue Ben while holding his injured head.

The noise of the commotion that was in the trunk, required Ben to get out of the car. He checked the baggage.

Without further ado, Ben unlocks the trunk of the car. His eyes were round when he saw Bella there.

Bella reflex closed her eyes as a snowflake hit her face. However it did not last long, as Bella quickly woke up. Then Ben pushed him to the ground. The girl hurried to untie the rope on both of her legs.

Bella jumped out of the trunk. Then ran through the snow. He thought that the person who opened the trunk was Lucky. Bella doesn't know Ben has taken over Lucky's power.

"Doctor Red!" call Ben who slowly stands up. He squinted his eyes to confirm Bella's position. The girl was seen running straight after an electric pole lined up on the side of the road.

Ben is going after Bella. He tried to start the car, but his efforts were fruitless. Ben was sure, the gasoline had frozen because of the cold weather.

Now Ben has no choice but to chase after Bella by running. Before leaving, he did not forget to bring a spare phone that was stored under the steering wheel chair. Ben also picked up a coat that happened to be in the back seat.

Bella's breath was wheezing. How far he ran, he could only find the trees lined up. Bella is trapped in the woods and snow.

Bella's lips look blue. His long hair was already filled with snow. Bella decided to stop for a moment. Then scan around.

When looking back, Bella could see Ben running closer. Still thinking Ben is Lucky, Bella runs back. Even when Ben called out the name Red Rose many times.

Due to fatigue, cold and fear, Bella finally fell. He accidentally stumbled upon a thick snow mound.

Bella fell on her stomach. The girl could only tremble while fusing her two hands together in front of her chest.

"Doctor!" Ben finally reached the position of Bella. Again, he had to be attacked. This time Bella attacked him with a kick.

Being attacked twice, got Ben thinking. She believes Bella must have thought it was Lucy.

"Relax, Doctor! I'm Ben! Lucky is gone!" ben said, who stood up again. His words managed to make Bella stop running. Then look back.

"Ben?" Bella makes sure.

"Yes, it's me. We better not split up. Because the snowfall seems to be going on for a long time" said Ben. He walked over to Bella. Ben opened the wide coat that had been brought.

Bella's attention was immediately turned toward the mantle that Ben was holding. I wish I could wear that coat soon. But dashed was his hope, when Ben instead used the coat for himself.

Bella stomped one of her legs in annoyance. His eyes glared sharply at Ben. The man was so willing to let him get cold in the snow.

Ben calmly stepped up first. His determination now was to find shelter.

Bella tries to hold back the anger. He should understand that Ben doesn't have empathy. Especially with a girl like her. Bella chose to shut up. Moving his legs fast from behind Ben.

After walking for a long time, Ben finally caught the existence of a house. Unfortunately the house looks empty and abandoned. Even so, Ben still breezed towards the house.

Krieet...

The door was opened by Ben. He went deeper and tried to find a fireplace.

While Bella, she had just entered the house when Ben had moved on. Bella hugged her body tightly. Then go into one of the rooms. There he found a blanket.

Bella covered her whole body with a blanket. The girl could now snort in relief. Bella curled up on the floor while trying to control her breath.

The sound of footsteps came closer. Bella believes the owner is Ben. The man had just picked up some wood to use in the fireplace.

"If you want to be warm, follow me!" said Ben. He watched from the front door.

Bella slowly looked up. "I can't.. My body feels frozen.." she shrieked in a raucous voice.

Ben clucked in annoyance. Then immediately carry Bella ala bridal style. He led the girl to the fireplace.

"Gee... Ben only cares when he sees me almost dying." muttered Bella meant sarcasm.

Ben mute. The reason he helped was because Ben needed Bella to be his doctor. In essence, Ben only intends to use Bella. Because if the girl dies, then Ben automatically has to find a new psychiatrist. Ben himself was tired of changing psychiatrists.
