Chapter 29 - Invitation to the Party

Bella took the opportunity to hide. He disappeared through the crowd and entered an ice cream shop.

Ben looked in all directions. He could only rub the roughness of his own face. I did not find Bella.

"Adrrarghh!!" angeram Ben continued walking. He passed by the ice cream shop where Bella was.

Watching Ben go away, Bella can finally snort a sigh of relief. He got out of the store, then stopped by a taxi that happened to be passing by.

"Doctor Red!" unexpectedly, Ben's baritone voice sounded again. Bella had to rush into the taxi. Just before Ben came to him.

"Doctor!" pekik Ben as he ran away. Bella, however, left in a taxi. The man snarled back. The veins of his neck seemed to stiffen with the anger that had re-peaked. Even so, Ben tried hard not to overdo it. Because he doesn't want Lucky to take over.

Ben doesn't understand what's in the way of a woman's mind. He felt they were very complicated. Maybe that's why he was reluctant to deal with women. But now? Looks like Ben's trapped. Bella's figure is the only hope to help her heal, as well as uncover the memories of the lost past.

Ben had to have a reunion with Jimmy. He was about to discuss the attitude of Red Rose who seemed to avoid.

"Tell me, what did you do the last time you saw Doctor Red?" ask Jimmy. Trying to trace the origins of Bella's anger.

"I tried to give him a ride. But he rejected my offer. So I'll just go home with the bike!" answer Ben, explaining.

"What?! You left him alone?" Jimmy's making. Ben automatically replied with a nod.

Jimmy grunts rudely. Now he knows exactly why Bella is so angry with Ben. "Listen, Mr. Mayer. I'm not experienced in women's affairs, but I do know. Your experience is worse than mine. You've never been close to a woman. Of course you don't understand how to treat them well?" he said at length.

"Come, Jimmy. Everyone knows you're still single until you're in your 40s. You must be worse than me" Ben replied lightly. He chuckled slightly revealing his neat teeth.

Jimmy didn't take it. He replied, "Sorry, Mr. Mayer. At least I've had intercourse with women. But you.." sarcastically. He insinuates about the situation of Ben who is still a virgin.

"Shut your mouth!" Ben pointed his index finger at Jimmy's face. He had indeed lost heavily to his personal secretary's counterpart.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you angry. Just look at this." Jimmy tried to calm down. Then continued, "the only way to get close to Doctor Red is to be nice to him. You can practice or ask a woman as an experiment. You want me to call someone?" Jimmy was ready to move out of the room.

"Forget it!" sahut Ben's. He talked to Jimmy. Ben ordered his subordinates to get out of the room.

When Jimmy was about to leave, Ben spoke again. The man tells Jimmy to get Oliver back to work. Ben is really uncomfortable with the unilateral dismissal he did the other day. Especially after learning Oliver almost committed suicide.

"All right then. Does that mean you're gonna try Oliver's idea for yesterday's meeting?" Jimmy stared expectantly.

"I think I should do it." Ben answered briefly. He was forced to agree to feel guilty about Oliver. As a result Jimmy put a faint smile on his face.

Oliver returned to work at Foodton. He feels very happy. Especially knowing Ben also agreed with his idea the other day.

"Thank you, Mr. Mayers. I didn't expect a-"

"Easy! You'd better call an actress who's gonna work with us." Ben accidentally cut Oliver's speech. He does not like to deal with emotional people.

"I just called actress Jennifer Wilson. He told us to meet him tomorrow night. Because Jennifer wants to celebrate her debut party. He invited you to come" Oliver said.

"Fest?" Ben grimaces his face. He's not interested at all.

"really. He said it was a thank you from Jennifer. She's thrilled to be selected as Foodton's newest food product advertising model" Oliver said.

"That's it. You're the only one leaving. I'm not interested!" hardik Ben got up from his seat.

"But if you don't come, Jennifer will likely be disappointed. He could have canceled his partnership." Oliver tried to persuade. But Ben just left. Even without giving a definite answer.

Bella just got to a new apartment. He told Brian and Cecil what he knew. The two colleagues can only be doomed and more upset.

"Good choice, Bella. It's best that you just run away from that arrogant master!" cibir Cecil's.

"Hey! We got an invitation from actress Jennifer Wilson. He's having his debut celebration party tomorrow night. We have to come!" brian looked busy staring at the computer screen.

Jennifer Wilson is an actress who was once a patient of Bella. So, no wonder he invited Bella and friends to come at his important event.

"I don't know. You'd better come," responded Bella in a lazy tone.

"What the fuck. You're Bella's boss. We're not leaving without you!" brian held out both hands.

"Brian's right! I know you hate parties. But try to open yourself up. Don't just worry about the happiness of your patients. You deserve to be happy too." This time Cecil agreed with Brian. Not as usual.

"I'll think about it." Bella gave an ambiguous answer. He entered the room. Then take the phone. A message just got received. A message from none other than her lover.

Justin said he was on his way home. The news made a smile etched on Bella's face. I can't wait to meet Justin. But when recalling the date last time, his smile instantly faded.

'I have to do something with my fear. I don't want to disappoint Justin anymore, Bella's inner self while putting her phone back on. He immediately called Cecil to speak with four eyes.

Bella decides to tell her biggest secret. It's about her virginity.

"Are you serious? So you and Justin haven't done it all this time?" ask Cecil not to believe it. He put his hands in front of his mouth.

Bella nodded weakly. He was disappointed in himself. Especially when remembering the relationship and Justin has been going on for quite a while.

"Justin turned out to be that good. I was amazed by him" said Cecil. "What's your plan now? Did you experiment first with a stranger?" continued. Make a proposal.

"Of course not! I don't want to do things for the first time with a stranger!" reject Bella. His face grimaced in disgust. Just imagine that he is not interested.

Cecil rolled a lazy eyeball. "I advise you to come to the party tomorrow night. Maybe you'll feel better" he said gently.

Bella was silent for a moment. He thought about deciding. Until finally the nod of the head was done by him. Cecil suddenly clapped his hands while smiling with excitement.
