Chapter 21 - Forced to Follow

Realizing the rescue team had arrived, Bella immediately put on a hat and mask. It just so happened that he always carried her in a sling bag. Just in case he accidentally met a state of urgency.

"You who?" Oliver stopped crying. Just as Bella was about to move on.

"I need you, Doctor. Come inside! I want to take you somewhere." Ben said with a serious expression.

Not long after, Ben directs his car into the housing complex. He stopped the car in front of an empty house.

Ben got out of the car first. Followed by Bella next. They walk hand in hand into a house that may also belong to Ben.

"Isn't this the famous haunted house? Scary House's? Isn't it?" exclaimed Bella who felt familiar with the appearance of the house in plain sight. His head was moving in all directions. But Ben was just silent again. Not responding to Bella's question with a single word.

Ben opened the door slowly. He led the way for Bella. But it didn't last long. After a few steps, he suddenly stopped.

Bella who was astonished, slowly positioned herself next to Ben. He guessed, Ben must have remembered something in his head.

"Is this house the scene of the incident you spoke of?" Bella asked again. Luckily, Ben responded this time. Even with just one nod.

"This is my childhood home. The beginning of everything. But I've forgotten too many important things." said Ben. He's still standing in place. Not to explore deeper. Ben just presses his head. As if I was feeling dizzy.

"really? Can you show me an important place that can trigger your memories?" Bella stepped in first.

"I can't. Explore alone. I'm sure you'll find something" Ben said, turning around. Get out of the house first. He'll likely be waiting on the porch.
