Chapter 4: The Mad Man

Kate drives her stolen car at high speed. He had to immediately go far away and throw away the car he was wearing so as not to be easily tracked.

Kate was lucky this time because she escaped death. Not only entered the lion's den, but Kate almost cut into pieces like minced meat. Sometimes he gets tired and wants to stop. But Robert always threatened her with using his mother. Huh, if mother had never married Robert, maybe she wouldn't have experienced something like this. But Robert was really good at hiding his rottenness to the point that his mother was fascinated by him. Even little Kate was fooled by the handsome face that now became her stepfather. Kate was happy when her mother came with Robert. He felt like he had a father again. But after marriage, Robert shows his true nature and forces Kate to become a high-class thief.

Once it felt far enough, Kate stopped her car. He reached into his pants pocket and took the stolen diamond.

"Gee... Really pretty. If I could have it.'' Kate muttered. He felt a little relieved that he had managed to get what his father wanted. For that he does not need to steal again in the next few months and the part he can use to treat his mother.

Kate wants to tell her father soon. She could not wait to finish her work because she already missed her soft mattress so much. Kate reached into her pocket to retrieve her phone, but along with it something fell out of her pants pocket. Kate leaned over and picked it up. "What'sthis? it's like a chip. Why is it in my pants pocket?" mumbling Kate. He recalled why it could be in his pocket.

"Ah.... Don't let this thing belong to that guy." Kate researched the chip carefully. He didn't know how to use it but he knew that it was commonly used to keep something secret.

"I'd better keep it. Who knows, someday it might be useful." Kate put the chip back in her pocket. He doesn't know if because of that thing he's currently in danger of becoming a fugitive for Leo.

"Alright, time to call that old fucker. I hope he keeps his word and gives me money to take Mommy's medication." Kate presses Robert's contact and attaches the phone to his ear.

"I managed to get her. I hope you keep your promise."

"really? Well, you're my daughter. You're so great Kate." praise Robert. But instead of being happy, Kate was sick of hearing it. If he could, he was desperate to finish off his stepfather. But unfortunately he did not dare. He's just a thief and not a murderer. Moreover, his mother's life was in the hands of that man. If his mother wasn't sick, maybe they could go from there and live happily.

"Where should I take him?" ask Kate.

"Ordinary place."

"Hm." Kate turned off the phone unilaterally. He leaned his back and let out a long breath. How long does he have to live like this? being a thief makes his life unsettled. At any time he could be caught and would probably be put to death. He's sure, there are a lot of people out there who want to catch him. Even he had seen brochures stuck everywhere with photos of himself in disguise. And now, Kate's added to the list of people who'll be hunting her.

"That's Kate. Maybe this is your destiny path. Just enjoy it." Kate started the engine. He had to go to his father immediately, because lingering with this diamond frightened him.

But he had not yet stepped on the accelerator, he saw a man standing on the side of the bridge. "What did that man do? is he going to kill himself?" kate ran her car slowly by constantly staring at the man.

The closer she got, the more certain she wanted to kill herself because she was looking down at the bridge. "Ck like he's right he's going to kill himself." Kate stopped her car right next to the man. He rolled down the window and shouted. "HEY CRAZY GUY!! DO YOU WANT TO KILL YOURSELF? IF IT'S TRUE, HURRY UP AND DO IT!! WHY ARE YOU HESITATING?"

The man looked up and looked at Kate sharply. "What do you mean? Who would kill themselves, huh?"

"HEY DON'T HAVE TO BE ANGRY. I WON'T STOP YOU. IT'S JUST THAT YOU'RE THE STUPID GUY I'VE MET. DO YOU THINK THERE'S ONLY ONE WOMAN IN THE WORLD?"

The man seemed silent. Seeing that, it seems Kate's guess is right. The man is heartbroken. Too bad.

"DO AS YOU LIKE CRAZY MEN. I'M LEAVING FIRST. BYE BYE!!" Kate runs her car leaving the man.

"A_what did he say? crazy guy?" the man stared at Kate's car which was getting further away.

"HEY, I'M NOT A CRAZY GUY. I'M STEVEN DEXON ARCILLES, WEALTHY BUSINESSMAN. AND I DON'T WANT TO KILL MYSELF. DID YOU HEAR THAT?" shouted the man who turned out to be Steven.

After Jennifer rejects her, Steven walks aimlessly. He stops at the edge of the bridge by tightly grasping a tadpole containing the ring he used to propose to Jenny. But when he opened it the ring accidentally fell and Steven just looked at it. That's when Kate thought Steven would jump to kill himself.

"Dam.. I really fucking shit today. My application was rejected and now someone's saying I'm crazy." said Steven.

"Leo." Steven said. He looked at Kate's car that was already away. He sure as hell was Leo's car. Friends who betrayed him. "Who is that woman?" muttered.

Meanwhile, Kate continues to berate the crazy man she just met. He did not understand why in this world there are still people who think narrowly like that. Just because he lives away his lover, rejected his love, but they feel as if the world is toying with them. How laughable. That's why Kate doesn't want to be in a relationship with any man. At least for now. Because he does not want his lover to take advantage of his profession or maybe get dragged into his problems. Who wants to have the lover of a thief?

Kate arrives at a building where her stepfather used to hang out with her friends. He got out of the car and put on a veil so no one would recognize him.

Yeah, all this time other than his father, no one knew if he was a thief. Her stepfather kept Kate's identity a secret from his friends for fear they would take advantage of Kate and report Kate to the authorities.

"Have you come, baby?" greet the middle-aged man with a face full of bruises. Like her she lost her gamble again and made a fuss.

Kate throws a stolen diamond that Robert immediately catches. "Don't forget my part." After saying that, Kate got back in the car and left. He had to throw away the car he was now wearing to remove any traces. Don't let this car get caught and go to jail.

Meanwhile, at Leo's mansion, everyone begins to race for information about the woman who stole Leo's diamond. They believe the woman is the legendary thief "Beautiful diamond thief".

Hearing that, Leo was very angry. He had already made an excellent security system but the woman managed to steal the diamond. Even the chip that keeps his confidential data is stolen by him.

"Fuck shit shit..!!! How could this possibly happen? I've designed a deadly security system but the woman can still get through it." - Leo

"Quiet darling. We'll catch him soon. We already know the thief's face. Then what's the problem?"

"No dear. It's not all that easy. The woman disguised as my bodyguard. And I'm sure that face isn't his real face."

The woman tried to calm Leo down. He was sure the Thief would be caught sooner or later.

"That's it!! I came here to accompany you. But you keep getting angry like that. I know diamonds are important to you. But am I not more important than all that?" the woman sulks. He was upset that Leo was not paying attention to him.

"It's not so dear. You're important to me. But the thing the woman stole was my treasure. He not only stole the diamond, but also the chip that kept all my secret data. Do you know who I am?"

"What do you mean inside that chip.....

"Yes.. So I have to get it back soon."

The woman sits on Leo's lap. He rubbed Leo's chest and said, "you take it easy I'll help you get the data back from them. Yes, even if it can't be completely, but most importantly, you don't lose everything."

"You sure you can do that? I don't want you in danger, honey."

"Enough by seducing them and giving them satisfaction, I will get what I want."

"You're the best, baby." Leo kissed the woman's lips.

"So, after this, are we going to Paris?" ask the woman.

"of course. But after you've satisfied me." Leo lifted the woman's body and took her to bed. They continue their struggle that was delayed because of the damned woman who had dared to steal his diamond.
