Chapter 44: Saving Kate

Steven wriggled and opened his eyes slowly as sunlight entered through the window slit of his room. He massaged his temple because he felt dizzy in his head.

He drank too much last night. But even so does not make it lose consciousness. He remembered why he was like that. All because of the betrayal of two people who used to mean so much to him.

He had no idea that the woman he once loved was conspiring with his former best friend. And he's sure they're up to something to destroy him once again.

"Sad... I didn't think you were so cunning, Leo. You want to use Jennifer to destroy me? Unfortunately that's not going to happen. For me that woman is rubbish. And the trash should be thrown in its place."

Steven leaned his back on the Headboard. He closed his eyes trying to dampen his anger.. It seemed like he had to surprise the two shameless creatures. He will ask Kate to teach Jennifer a lesson because they have always been feuding. And she's sure Kate will be happy.

Wait up! Kate?

Steven opened his eyes. Suddenly his heart was beating. He remembers very much. Last night she expressed her feelings for Kate. But the woman did not give an answer.

Kate said she'll talk about it later when she wakes up. Huh.. If Kate had known last night she was very, very conscious, she might still be asleep right next to her.

"Damn!! I wanted to pounce on him." Steven bit his lower lip. He missed that woman. So he better take a shower and see her.

Steven got out of bed. He looked at his messy room. Her lips expanded because she was sure that soon the woman would come to clean her room.

"Ok Steve, you better take a shower now and then you can spend some time with Kate Berley." Steven went into the bathroom and started his bathing ritual. She was already very impatient and wished Kate would accept her to be her lover.

It didn't take long, Steven had already finished his bath ritual. He came out with a towel wrapped around his waist revealing his protruding muscles.

But when she came out, she didn't find Kate there. It's weird, he saw a clock stuck to the wall. It's almost noon but Kate hasn't shown her nose yet. Is he ashamed? Or is he angry?

"Shiiit!!" Steven rushed to put on his shirt. Looks like she knows why Kate didn't come. He must have misunderstood and thought it was only made into an impingement.

He must clear up this misunderstanding. Don't let Kate leave her.

Finished wearing his shirt, Steven ran out of his room. The first place he went to was the kitchen because before or after cleaning his room, the woman must have been there.

But Kate wasn't there. Steven asked the Maids and no one knew where Kate was because all the maids did their jobs.

"Damn!!" Steven went to Kate's room. Again, the woman was not there. Where exactly is that woman? It's impossible for Kate to escape, right?

"Steve, why are you here?"

Steven clenched his hand. He stared at the person who greeted him

"A_what's up Steve? Why are you looking at me like that? You're scaring me, honey."

"Say!! Where's Kate now?" asked Steven growled

"A_what do you mean? I don't know where that 9th street is, Steve." exclaimed Jennifer

"Shut your mouth, Jenny." Steven clutched Jennifer's neck. His sharp eyes radiated an immense hatred.

"S_steve, lep_spar..!!" Jennifer hit Steven's arm but instead of taking off, Steven tightened his grip.

"S_steve's chat....

"Master!! What are you doing?" James tried to release Steven's grip. Jennifer's almost out of breath if James doesn't come to stop Steven's madness

"Uhuk uhuk uhuk." Jennifer held her neck. His breathing gasps for Steven's actions.

His men who came with James dragged Jennifer and took her to the execution room.

Steven rubbed his face rough. She must find Kate and explain to her. But where Kate went Steven doesn't know. And he's sure this is all Jennifer's doing

"What exactly is Sir?" ask James

"Kate's gone, James. He left me." Steven said

James remained silent. What does Steven mean? did Kate run away? but it's not possible. Curious, James checks the cctv and from there he finds out if Kate left because of Jennifer.

"Sir, Miss Kate left because she was asked to pick up something by Miss Jennifer" James said

Steven looked at James and turned to his laptop screen. He clenches her hand and asks James to track down Kate's whereabouts.

"Leo.." - Steven. He's convinced that this is Leo's plan to capture Kate. This can't be allowed.

Steven's got his gun ready. This time he would not take off the man just like that. Let's just say he used to be stupid for taking Leo off. But now, don't expect to escape.

"Done." cried James.

Steven looked at James and rushed to the car. He can't wait to finish Leo off. And hopefully he's not too late.

In a hurry, they did not bring any men at all. Steven has only Kate, Kate and Kate in mind.

James drove his car at high speed. She's also furious that Kate's in danger. And he's also convinced that this is all Jennifer and Leo's plan to get rid of the woman.

After arriving at the location, Steven ordered James to continue forward. And without a doubt the car that James was driving hit the door of the place where Kate was.

Leo and the others gasped but they had not yet taken up their weapons, Steven had already fired at them.

Steven kept shooting at Leo's men without getting out of his car. Seeing his defeated men, makes Leo take the thousand-footed stance. But that was realized by Steven. He got out of the car and pointed his gun at Leo who was trying to escape. But unfortunately Steven's bullet ran out.

"Damn..!!" shouts Steven. It's in plain sight but Leo can get away with it. Steven saw Kate sitting on the floor. He approached the woman and hugged her

"Kate..!! Sorry I'm late." exclaimed Steven

"Le_pass Steve!!" Kate pushed hard on Steven's body.

"What's up Kate? Why are you pushing me?" Steven saw Kate's strange-looking gestures. Until he realized something.

"Shyit!! James!!" Steven took Kate bridal and got her in the car.

"What's wrong with Miss Kate, sir" she asked, looking at Kate as a hot worm

"There's no time to explain. Let's go home now!!" tell Steven

"Ba_good Mr." James drove back to his car at high speed leaving the location. He had already contacted his men to catch up and settle this mess.
