Chapter 43: The Fight

Kate opened her eyes. He massaged his temple because he felt dizzy in his head. He got up and looked around. A dirty place like a warehouse. Was he caught?

Kate tried to remember what happened. He managed to defeat the four men but suddenly he felt pain in his back and after that he did not remember anything.

"Kc... Where's me?" muttered

"You're sober." A man walked into the room where Kate was.

"Who are you? Why did you arrest me?" ask Kate. He was convinced that this man in front of him was Annabelle's man. But wait a minute! Why did she feel familiar with the man's face?

"What's so sweety, why are you looking at me like that? Do you know me?" ask the man. He approached and stood in front of Kate. "You have beautiful eyes, Sweety. But these eyes actually remind me of someone." continued the man

Kate took a few steps back. He felt that this man in front of him was extremely dangerous. But really, he felt no stranger to the man.

"Why Sweety? are you afraid of me, hm?"

"You haven't answered my question. Who are you and why did you arrest me?" scream Kate

"Switch sweetie, no need to scream. I'm Leo, the one who's gonna get rid of you . But before that, I'll make you feel pleasure for the last time." Leo sneered

"Leo?" mumbling Kate. As expected, this man is Annabelle's man. He's Leo Abraham.

Leo approached Kate and rubbed the woman's face. She was no stranger to Kate's eyes. The same eyes as the woman who stole his treasure.

"Do you know sweety, your eyes are really similar to the woman who's already managed to destroy my business. He stole the diamond and the chip that holds my important data. Or maybe, you're that guy, sweety?"

Kate's stunned. Her memory revolves around the events of three years ago where she stole a diamond and accidentally brought a Chip belonging to her target.

Leo Abraham's. Now Kate remembers. The man in front of him was Leo Abraham who used to be his target.

Damnit.. He never thought he would see Leo again. And it turns out he's Annabelle's partner. This time his life will not be saved.

"Why are you quiet, Sweety?" ask Leo

Kate breathed slowly. He tried to be calm so Leo did not suspect anything. He's sure, Leo's been looking for him all along. Not because of the diamond he stole but because of the Chip he accidentally brought.

Ck.. He was curious about the chip. Maybe after this he should take that Chip and check it out. That is if he survived.

"Is it just because my eyes look like people you know that make you think it's me? Don't you know the term doppelganger phenomenon? Even humans have physical twins even though they are not siblings. Some say that humans have at least seven twins living in this world. So it looks like you're wrong, Mr. Leo." exclaimed Kate

"Yes, you're right sweety. So what if we had fun first. I wonder what your advantages are to the extent that a great man like Steven falls for you."

Kate laughed out loud. Steven fell in love with her? is the man in front of her delirious?

"Sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Leo. But I'm just Mr. Steven's servant, nothing more. So you're wrong to think Mr. Steven fell for me."

"You're wrong, sweetie. Do you remember the bracelet he once gave you? There's a diamond in there. It was the Estrela Brilhante diamond . Diamonds that have a high selling value. If Steven doesn't have any feelings for you, he can't give it to you."

"You're wrong, Mr. Leo. Mr. Steven gave the bracelet not because there was a diamond there. But because the bracelet was fitted with a tracking device so I couldn't just run away."

"What did you say? Tracking device?" leo asked who was answered a small nod by Kate.

Damnit.. That means Steven already knows if he and Jennifer are in a relationship. Leo reached into his cell phone and began to contact Jennifer. But even a few times, the woman did not lift it.

"Thank Jenny!!" Leo called Jennifer back. It's critical. Was the woman caught?

Kate uses Leo's panic to escape. He walked slowly towards the door. But Leo realized it.

"Stop there Jalan9!! Or this bullet will go through your head right now." cried Leo growled

Kate stopped and raised both hands. He turned to look at Leo who pointed a weapon at him.

"I changed my mind. I'll make you scream under me and record it. After that, I'll send our hot activities to Steven. But you take it easy. I'm not gonna kill you too soon. At least until Jennifer returns."

Kate was grimacing slowly. Really a sneaky plan. But unfortunately he chose to die rather than have to serve a crazy man like Leo.

Kate tries to calm down as Leo approaches her by still pointing a gun at her. He could feel something behind his shirt. And he was sure it was his dagger.

When Leo was close to Kate, Kate kicked Leo's hand so quickly that Leo's weapon bounced. He picked up the dagger and pointed it at Leo's neck.

"Shut up!! or this knife will slit your throat." Kate threatened

"Heh.. You want to play with me apparently." exclaimed Leo.

"Do you know, Mr. Leo. This section is very effective for killing quickly. This is the carotid artery. If I stab you in this part, blood will pour out. And you know what's gonna happen next?"

Leo remained silent. This woman cannot be underestimated. And that made him even more certain that this woman was the same woman he was looking for.

Kate took Leo hostage. And when he wants to get out, Leo's men suddenly come in and point guns at Kate.

"Let your weapons down!! Or I will kill your master." cried Kate

Leo's men slowly put down their weapons. But suddenly one of them opened fire on Kate.

Kate reflexes avoid and it is used by Leo to escape from Kate.

There was a fight between the two but again Kate lost and managed to be frozen by Leo's men.

"I admit you're great. But still, I'm the greatest." Leo takes out a bottle of medicine and forces Kate to drink it. But suddenly....
